My situation is actually wierder, instead of this number calling me, it is showing up on my phone records as being called out from my 2nd line on our phone records.  It actually caused an altercation between myself and my boyfriend becasue it was showing the calls being made sometimes at 1 or 2 in the morning.  When I called it to find out who it is it is some kind of voice mailbox that has never been set up.  AT&T is clueless about was is going on.

We are having almost the same problem as Tiffany with this number. The calls from this number 812-629-0998 continue to show up on our bill for our teenager's phone at all hours of the day and night. She has gotten in trouble but swears no one has called. The number shows up as an incoming call on our bill. We are concerned that this could be some kind of predator or fradulent attempt to take advantage of our young daughter. We do not live in the 812 area code, which is Newburgh Indiana, according to our bill. Who is this calling our daughter?  Any help appreciated. Tiffany, write back if you can.

I just discovered multiple calls TO this number 812-629-0998 and to 812-629-0999 on my cell phone account with 4 lines and ALL 4 phones have supposedly called these numbers.  I know I haven't called and my 12 year old son's phone has not been functional for the past 2 weeks, yet multiple calls show up on the online account.  The 0998 number shows up as a mobile (cell) number and the 0999 number shows up as a voice mail. I sent a message to AT&T to tell them to find out what is going on before I take my business to a SECURE company.

just spoke with a customer service rep with AT&T it IS the voicemail number we call into to get our voice mail.

Just a thought....Have you the number for your voicemail box? That number shows up for me as well but it is for my voicemail. Just look at you contact list and view your numbers. When you get to voicemail this is the number you call to retrieve your voicemail from your cell phone.

Its our local voicemail # that we call to get our voicemails.

This number (1-812-629-0998) shows up on my phone records as the number called like where my phone number should be on two phone calls, which I have been recieving for the past two nights from a withheld number who will not answer! Don't know what's going on!

Finally figured this one out.  I too was having this showing up on my bill, I don't have voice mail and when I spoke to someone at ATT they said it was the voicemail number.   She didn't explain, that when I miss a call it forwards to a message the "this persons voicemail hasn't been set up yet." its like an 8 second message, but that is what this is.
