call about expired automotive warranty

Calls and leaves no message.  Google search advises this number is for a vehicle warranty center, assumedly trying to sell me a warranty on my vehicle.  Will block the number on my phone.  

I got a call, was asked how I was and I just came up from basement with a load of clothes and said fine. Then Jill clicked me off. How rude of this company and don't call back.

They just called my boss' number here at work. I barely started talking when she interrupted and said "Hi, this is Jill from the Vehicle Warranty Something-or-other" and that it appears the warranty on my vehicle will soon expire.  I asked her which vehicle (because my car is a 2002, so yes, it has expired), and she said a 2009 Honda.  I said I don't have a 2009 Honda, which took her a moment to regroup from.... then she asked if I had another vehicle that had a warranty about to expire and I said no.  Awkward silence.  I said, "But thanks anyway - have a good day!"  "Sorry we weren't able to help you today - have a good day!"  That's three minutes of my life I won't be getting back.  Ugh.

This site serves 2 very useful purposes: it lets people share info on telescammers so we know who is calling us; and it gives us a chance to blow off some steam.  I'd say that's 2 points more than the DNC List gives.  As for suing the crooks: this is America Mike.  Anyone can sue anyone for any reason at any time.  So go ahead & sue if you want.  Of course you'll have to find a lawyer who will take the case, unless you want to be your own lawyer.  Then you'll have to find the crooks, & prove you suffered damages, & that they harmed you intentiuonally.  Then you'll have to wait through the appeals.  But you don't need politicians to "allow" you to sue.  You just need time & money, lots of both.  So go for it dude -- sue the busterds!  Sue the phone companies!  Or you can just get a phone with caller ID & a good blocker.  Don't pick up on any unknown number, check this site to see who called you, & if they persist block the number.  Then get on with your life.  Peace brother!

Consider buying a call blocking device or phone also.. Devices hold more numbers then phones do by far. IE: The T-lock Incoming PRO Call Blocker sells for under 60 bucks on Amazon and can block up to 1500 numbers.

this no. called my cell phone.  no CID information.  I did not answer and they did not leave vm

calls are coming in  Jan 2014 in Texas.    started talking, I told them I didn't need warrenty, and to take name off list, everytime I spoke, the phone was not open, where you could hear the background, and she said nothing else, even when ask if she understood. Just playing games. Told I was reporting them.

it usually does no good to report to gov office, but is suppose to help them at aome point in the future to stop, these calls. YOU have to do something active, to not have these calls. Get a call blocker! Its the only way, you will not have the phone ringing all the time. well worth the $..

I just got a call from this number. CID said Gator Ford...when I said hello, hold music started playing!... Really??  I hung up and looked up the # here. auto warranty scam. I don't even drive let alone have a car!

I was forced to buy a panasonic phone to get away from these kind of calls.  My Panasonic allows me to block 30 phone numbers.  I first contacted Panasonic & asked which phones have the blocking feature & then I purchased it from Amazon.  It's the best money I spent.  If you have caller ID, that's all you need.  I highly suggest you get this kind of phone.

Got a call from this number about a car warranty.  Did not specify which car.  Based on the posts here it looks like a scam call.

I missed the call, called back, it rang once and nothing. gettin ridiculous with almost 10 telemarketing calls per day.

I keep getting these calls too, I never answer.  When I try and call back,  no answer. It drives me crazy.

These people won't STOP calling me!  I am constantly getting calls from them!!!  Does anyone know of a way to get them to stop.  My son has Leukemia and everytime the phone rings I MUST answer it in case it is the doctor!  Feeling very frustrated!!

CAller ID said Ford G.  Computer call.  

Refused to answer any questions and hung up.

Of course posting on ANY of these sites does a much good as the DNCL which is ZERO.

We need to force our politicians to allow us to sue the phone companies who allow these human debris continued use of their system. You know damned well, if the phone companies had to shell out money they would shut these maggots down after the first 10 or so complaints.  MCI World Comm is listed for these scum.

Caller ID had Gator Ford - - didn't answer call, no message.   Likely the same idiots with their warranty package that been calling for years - - just under a new number/caller id.

Also received a call from this person.  Did not answer in time.  Thank goodness!

These people have also mailed me about a car that i didn't even buy. They also instantly started talking when I said hello as if a computer was speaking to me.

Caller I D shows Ford G. Said she showed that my factory warranty had expired. Asked her which vehicle, Chevrolet she states, asked her to remove my number, she mumbled something and hung up on me. Rude Rude Rude. Can't call the number back. Get a real job...
