It is Hillsborough County Jail. Its a phone located in their holding area.

I recieved about 3 or 4 calls from this number this morning from 5something til like 6something while sleeping. The 1st 2 x's I actually heard the phone ring but answered it too late both times. I then checked my vmail and it only played the part: "...to prevent future calls from this facility press 6" every time I tried to call back it said "all circuits are busy now". I was thinking it was the Tampa Jail and that one of my friends may be in trouble. I searched for the number this morning and found this site; so now maybe I can rest assured that it's just some scammers. Thanks!

I got a recorded message about a collect call on my cell phone  saturday at 1 PM . I ended the call quit ; then google the number and found this site .,JayDavid)

I received 6 calls from this number throughout the night last night. Beginning at 12:45 am, then at 12:50am, 1:08am, 1:11am, 3:31am and as recently as 9:00am this morning.  I've answered it three times. One time I received a recording in spanish, but it didn't sound like a normal recording, the quality was really bad.  It sounded like someone was playing a recording from a tape recorder into the handset.  The other two times I answered they just hung up.  Anyone have any luck getting the calls to stop?  They're calling on my cell phone.

I recieved 7 calls from this number from 2:50 am until 4:50 am on my cell phone and everytime I answered it was a spanish recording.  I'm not sure what it said, other than telling me to push certain numbers.  My spanish friend listened to it for me and said it was asking me to accept a "free" call.  But she said it was some kind of scam.  Very irritating in the middle of the night ~ ALL NIGHT.  Wish I knew how to stop something like that.

Phone rang at 0230 , no responce.

Recorded message says it is a collect call from the Hillsborough County Jail.  (Hillsborough Co. Jail says they don't have that phone number.)  

Apparently it is a scam to call forward long distance calls and charge it to your phone. Had I continued with the call, I would guess they would have had me enter my code for call forwarding, then the number they wanted to call.  Then they would be able to call that number, billed to my phone, until I discovered what was going on and cancelled the call forwarding.
