Received a text message from this number this morning pretending to be from my bank. How they know which bank I bank with I do not know. But I knew it was a scam when it started out with "Dear XYZ bank customer" because my bank knows my name and would address me as such. They then proceeded to ask me to call this number 1-813-413-5734 immediately for verification on my debit/ATM card. The email address they use is admin@ata.gov.albut -- I'm sure that is bogus as well. Why is this phone number still in service and has not been disconnected by law enforcement is what I want to know.  ??

Got a call from Alan Parker.  Left a message on our company voice mail.  Said he was a private investigator hired to do background check on me personally because the company I work for has a debt.  Said he was going to "come by later this week" to speak to me.  

I am still waiting for him to come by....this is a total scam and they should be reported.  Maybe the police dept should pay him a visit....stalker!

Got a call from Allen Parker, Private Investigator from (520) 545-7021 Capital Resource Management investigating my company and me personally and to call Cynthia at the Andersen Group at 866 706-2574  and give the case number he gave me. I challenged him on his registration and credentials as a licensed investigator, which shut him up. He then told me he had my personal information and read off my DOB, address, and other info from my credit report. I don't know these people and certainly don't owe them money. I would be very careful. They are scammers. They get a list of some old account and press you to pay them, when you don;t even remember.
Best thing to do is turn the tables, ask them the questions. They are NOT registered anywhere, will not and cannot give you anything. And even if you owe someone some money, call them and complain about the tactics and tell them you will not sue them if they forgive the debt due to these illegal tactics.

It's a collection agency. They have this multiple syllable name like they are a law firm but it's really just a collection agency. They use intimidating speech in order to scare you. The information they are looking for or say they are "investigating"  is public record for the most part or something you gave some creditor when you applied for credit back when you thought you could pay the bill.
My personal rule is never accept Blocked or Private Calls, if they fool you by calling from some number they've made up (voip dialing can be programmed to show any number) don't be scared, just hang up. Don't answer questions or give them the upper hand. It will get annoying but never let them know. Just simply say: "Have a nice day" and hang up. After several failed attempts, they'll give up, because after all if they were legitimate, if they were a decent company they would use a legitimate and decent approach when they contact you, but from the get go they are trying to be "slick" rather then business-like.
Stay calm, don't answer questions. Don't let them scare you. It's not worth it.

these d!@#$%bags tried the same crap with my company.  Don't call back, don't talk to them.  They are scam artists under the guise of collectors.

Similiar to "Scam" noted above, I recieved a call from "JB Scott" of Randall & Richards asking me to call 1-866-718-1234 x 144.  I do not have caller ID on my phone so I am uncertain of the originating phone #.  He mentioned that it was important in a very serious tone.

Scam... I just got the same thing today 5/26/2010. Wanted me to call Robert Sherman of Randall Richards – 866-718-1234 with a reference number. Load of crap.

called and asked for a company. I asked who was calling and they hung up. I tried to call it back and a recording saying the # is currently not availalble.

Got the same call, today. left a message stating he was Allen Parker an investigator looking into my personal & business financials and I needed to contact Mark Sadler @ Randall & Richards 866-718-1234 ext 150. Called the 813-413-4517 that was on Call ID but said "this # couldn't be reach now, try again later"!

I got the call and didn't answer, but I'm pretty sure its a scam of some sort.

Got a call from an Alan Parker saying he was doing a asset/liability investigation on our company and wouldnt tell me any details about it. Asked him and he said he was not privy to the information but to call Mark Sandler at 1-866-718-1234 x150 and he will be able to answer any questions. Sounded suspicious. Will not call that Mark. Maybe report this to the police.

called our number showing our own name as the caller id...asked if this was our business..we said yes.they hung up.. Reported it to our bank and law enforcement.

Also received a call from Allen Parker said he was an investigator from Capitol Resources and he has a client Jack Cosgrove that is doing an indepth asset allocation investigation on us. Started asking information about my business, if we were incorporated, etc. I said absolutely no way will I give out any info. He wouldn't give his number as everything needs to be forwarded to client Jack at 866-718-1234 ext. 162 reference number 125718... SCAM SCAM SCAM.
Don't give out any info to these people.

Received a call from "Alan Parker" with Capitol Resources (showed up on caller ID as a Florida Call) saying he was investigating my boss's company. Said hisis client: Sid Moore, with Anderson Group
866-706-2574 and a file #.
I called back  and the number was "currently unavailable".  Thinkiing this is a highly planned out scam.

i also received a called from Alan Parker from the same number  he was hired by Linda Walters to investigate my company he asked for my title in the company and my bank mane and a fax number. I told him to request all the information in writing and i will froward it to my lower. Then he asked me to just hang up the phone he would leave a message with the reference number # 58740  and the phone # 866-220-2439  for Anderson Group ask for Linda Walters

Same thing, but he said he might drop by our business next week

I received a call on my cell phone from 813-413-4517 and they didn't leave a vm.  They then called my husband on his cell phone from the same phone number.  He stated that his name was Allen Parker from Capital Resource Management and he would be investigating our business.  He was hired by Robert Sherman who works for Randall and Richards.  Told him to call 866-718-1234 and also gave him a reference number.  Has anyone received anything VALID from these people from these phone numbers????

I have been in contact with "Jim Braekey" from Randall & Richards for the past two weeks dealing with a debt that is owed to one of my clients. The problem I have encountered is that he wants my bank account number, as well as the routing number to "automatically withdraw" the owed amount for my client. I called the client that is owed money by the company I am employed at and they said he is "authorized" however, they had never heard of collecting "automatically." Apparently Jim is only supposed to set up a payment schedule with my company to ensure payments are made each week until the deficit is paid in full, NOT with the bank info he requested!!! My company does not have caller ID so I do not know what number he called from, only that we have been communicating through 1-877-654-1234 ext. 139! Have you had any problems or encounters since?? Do you have any suggestions for me about how to go forward? Anything will help.

they called my phone today and hung up when I answered.  Someone hacked into my hotmail account last week and this is probobly who it was.

Also got a call from this number asking if this was <my company name> - odd because they called my cell number - not part of the company phone block - i said i work for my company and they hung up

Received call from Allen Parker telling me I was being investigated by a company called R&R-said I would not give info and he told me to contact the same number above 866-718-1234 ext 140 and I should talk with Eric Bloom-this is sounds like a scam and I wold be very careful giving out any information about your self or company if you get a call from this person or company

Similar to Gina: got a VM today from a Michelle Parker of Capital Resources saying that a Jim Breakey at Randall and Richards was investigating our company and that they were going to be calling the state to check our licenses, our banks, etc. so I should call him back at 866-718-1234 x 139; this number has a voice mail saying "this is Randall and Richards, etc"  Randall and Richards is a debt collection firm.  When I called the 813 number, I got a voice mail saying that they were not currently subscribed to the internet.  Sounds scammy.

Same as last post, except did not give phone number. Anyone have an idea of who this is or has anyone had anything else come of these calls? Or even where Law office of Randall and Richards is located? Strange can not even find Law office information anywhere.

got a call this morning asking about my boss and wanting to know if he had more than one business i said yes.. she said she was investigating him his financial records, etc.. said her clients name was eric blum and he worked for "randall and richards"... when i asked if she would like my boss to call her back she replied by saying "oh no, it would be best that he doesnt talk to me and that she was instructed by her client to relay the information of her investigation"
the bad news is is that i did give her my boss phone number...now what?

Got a call today from a Michelle Parker, asking if this was my name and company address and that someone was investigating me.  I did not give them any further info.  My secretary asked for their phone number so that we could return the call and she responded, so you refuse to give him the message and she said no, I will have him return your call if you leave him your phone number, and then she hung up.  We did a *69 and got a message that the caller is not currently subscribed to the internet at this time, try your call again later.  So what's this about?

Caller asked for me by name and asked if I owned the company. Sated they needed some preliminary information in an asset search for their client...and started trying to ask questions. When I asked for their information and client etc...they stated they were working for  allow firm gathering information for a judgment...I told them to call my attorney and the lady stated she has no reason to and it would Behoove me to answer her questions. She hung up and called again but didn't talk to her. Return calls to number have a voice message after one ring stating the subscriber is not logged onto their network.

They called me this morning and left a detailed message stating that they would be investigating my background, obtaining personal, bank, credit and everything they could find on me as requested by "their client"
