Me too! This A-Hole says he is from ACS and a frined of mine has commited fraud and used my information in the fraud.  I called back and he answers the phone with Hello. Total Scam!

I also received the same call that you all received.  I laughed at them and told them that in our country the police do not show up because of debts owed and that they do not have an Ohio Supreme Court ID number to be practicing law in Ohio...Then they wanted to talk about another matter when they new thast I wasn't falling for their crap.  He asked me how old I was.  Then asked if I would like to date him.  It would be a compensated date...I said, I cant help you.  Im a single mother with too many kids and Im on welfare...REALLY people...if you owe someone money, they are not going to call you and tell you that they are going to sue you...they have to serve your summons by certified mail or sherriff...I don't think they want to add mail fraud to their list of misgivings...

this is a scam and these people are worthless pieces of crap!  I bought a whistle and blew it in the phone, they never called back, hope I blew out their eardrum!

This people called my work place asking for me. My co-worker told them I don't personal calls. They insisted they had information with my ss # and that it was a legal matter she told them shi didn't care and she was gonna take any information down. That they better stop calling she was going to report them. They called back 3 times and then stopped. B4 that they called my cell phonen with 00000000 number left the same message.... scam... because they tried this before 2 years ago.. they wanted money wired to them//... I dont think so...

same as the rest of you, I am fearful that I do owe someone money but now realize that this is exactly what you all have posted although the name is Kevin Brooks and Robin Smith. Same number same scam, Let's put a stop to this.  How do you report fraudulent information?

The way this scenario plays out, it appears these people are scammers who hacked into or once worked for a legit payday loan company.  That is how they have obtained people's personal and contact information.  They are now trying to strong-arm or bully people into paying back a payday loan that most likely was already paid.  It appears this is a scam.

Just got a call from them and they are saying that I owe them money and threatening me that they are going to take me to jail for check fraud.  Who are they?  How can they do this?  Is there anything that we can do legally against them?

SCAM ALERT! I received a call from a guy twice now from an unknown number. He claimed to be from the FDIC Law and Investigations Department. He has a thick Indian accent and claims that someone has applied for a loan and has not paid it back and that if i don't call them back at 813 435-6301 then, "You will be in trouble! You will be in trouble!". This is obviously a scam. Don't call these people back! Besides they even suck at their job.

My gf got a call from this number saying she need to call them because I put her down as a reference and they need to get in contact with me because I did something fraudelent but I never did such a thing. I took out a loan before but it was paid off and if such thing occured they should have my number and address in that case. Please report these ppl.

A man with a very thick Indian accent called me and left this number as his call back number. I couldn't make out most of what he said. Something about "fraudulent phone" and that he was calling from the legal dept of "ACLU" That's what is sounded like he said. Then said Tracey or Chrissy (couldn't make out the other name or the last name given) are in big trouble from this fraud and mention of a loan. Threatened me twice by saying I'm in big trouble. I saved the message and will listen to it again to try and make out what he said. But this is clearly a scam.

I also received a call from these people who threated to make me loss my job.  I told them go right ahead and asked them if they wanted to be transferred to my boss.  This is a scam and beware of them.  If someone sues you they have to file a claim with your local small claims court and you will be served with it in person so you can appear in court.  No one is going to call cursing any one out and threating to have them loss there job if its a real company.  A real company would not want you to loss your job because you would have no way to pay them back if you really owed a debit.

This man Victor called my place of employment treaten my boss saying I owed 300.00$ and if we didnt pay I would go to jail. So I called this man back and ha said I got a loan in February 2010 and it went to a bank account that I closed July 2009. When I called back he anwsered "Hello?' When I confrounted him he told me to F$#k off! Ya ok. I'm sorry but no real professional says that. I reported him to the police, The FDA, The general attorneys office and the better bussiness Company. They tracked the number and its a landline phone. Not a deit collecter.

My sister and I just recieved calls on our cell phones and my sister at work from a Victor Hill - telling us we had to be in california court monday morning, he has a think Indian accent and told us to call him firstt...he then called my sisters work.  The ONLY connection and the only way he could have had all of those numbers and correct names is thru US cellular customer records.

I just received a call from these people claiming that my best friend owes them money against his SSN (What the hell does that even mean?)

Affidavit Considated Services (ACS) calls coming in non-stop from a Mac Peterson and Kevin McClain his Supervisor. They cannot send me any information but have told my sister they were going to have the police put me in jail if I didn't send them money owed for a loan that they cannot provide any factual or documented information on except a fax of a breakdown of funds due but no date when it occurred, who it occurred with, etc, etc, etc. They said their office in in Tampa, FL and I asked for a street address but did not receive one. This is harassment and a scam and I am not going to take it any more. They were yelling to talk over me and I kept saying I have no record of anything you are saying and they continued with threats and talking non-stop.

How can we stop these kinds of scams. I can only imagine if this happened to some individuals that are unable to fight for themselves and give in to scammers like this.

Karen, assuming you bank online, what worries me a bit is your PC may have a live trojan on it that's sending banking data to the scammers or else how would the scammers know about any 4th bank account you'd opened anywhere? I suggest your PC be reformatted and your OS reinstalled - this is the safest way to kill a trojan given the complexity of modern malware. I hope you have data backups. Consider all login accounts (bank, email, social, etc.) compromised and all passwords, security questions, etc., should be changed. I hope you know to create different complex passwords for each account. You can check password strength here https://www.microsoft.com/protect/fraud/passwords/checker.aspx  I know rebuilding your PC is painful but you have to be sure there's no bot living in it or no bank account will ever be secure.

I am in a real bind.  Not knowing these internet theives exhisted I never checked my account.  WIthin two weeks with me not knowing there were 7 internet loan companies that put money in my account then started taking it out.  Causing me to overdraft 35 times at least at $35.00 each time.  So my account went negative.  Before I went to the bank to figure it out I started getting at least 500 text messages a day of advertisements to take all kinds of loans out.  And they were calling me all day long.  I had just changed my phone plan to 500 text a month and 900 minutes.  I swear not two days later this was happening.  I called Verizon 10 times to let them know what was going on they said they were taking care of it each time I called.  Now my phone bill is over $800.00, they haven't fixed it and I just let them turn it off.  I have closed my 4th checking account at a different bank becasue they hit that one too.  I cannot even have a checking account now.  My IT director said they hacked in my computer when I stupidly opened an email stating it was from my bank and it wasn't.  They went gang busters.  I have no money yet they are still coming after me.  Because they put money in my account I owe them due to not returning it.  But they caused me to go negative with all the overdraft fees.  Now I cannot pay them back, the law firm that was gonna help me consildate and go after them got shut down by the FTC a week ago along with all pay day loan debt consildation companies.  So I have no help from him even though he was legit.  Then on top of that family and friends don't beleive you.
I don't know how I am going to pay them back ever.

It is so frustrating to have numerous phone call from these scammers, they have been using different numbers also or unknown, or even +00000, they have been calling work place and thereaten the people who answered the call, I do nnot owe them anything but they insist that I have a loan that I did not pay. They do not give any specifics on the account instead just scare you to death about prison, FBI and all. I hope somebody will help us. I already reported it to the police.

Just keep hanging up on them or blow a whistle in the phone when they call.  If they are calling your work tell whoever answers the phone to tell them that you no longer work there, they will quit calling after awhile

Have called threatening me over and over what do I do

I have been receiving numerous calls at work from a man with a very strong Indian accent who claims his name is Victor Hill with a company called ACS and that I owe on an online payday loan that I never paid back. First off, I dont have any payday loans so I know this not to be true. I have reported this to the FBI, Federal Trade Commission and my state's Attorney General's office. I have been assured by all of them that this is a scam. I have asked this man not to call my work numerous times, but he continues to do so and also leaves messages on the work answering machine. He has also spoken to my co-workers about this which I believe is illegal for "real" creditors to do. Little does this guy know, I work for an attorney so I know that all of the BS he is feeding me about going to jail and filing an "affidavit" against me is untrue. I feel so sorry for the people that have fallen for this scam and hope that these people are caught up in their game eventually.

I ASK MARK WILLIAMS TO PROVIDE ME WITH THE PAPERS AND HE TOLD ME HE COULD NOT . Make sure that anyone that you know will not give them any information if they are called about you, especially your work phone because they will call your work at least 20 times a day, and then they will start making threats to rape and kill you and your family.  THESE PEOPLE NEED TO BE STOPPED, ANY IDEAS OUT THERE??????????????????

A man called me from 813-435-6301 saying that I had committed fraud by taking an internet loan and not paying it back. He claimed to be from a law firm called ACS. They refused to give me any info, wouldn't say when I had received this supposed loan. I NEVER received this money and obviously bank statements will verify this. They got angry and abusive and hung up on me when I repeatedly asked them when this transaction had happened. They told me I owed much more than the $300 loan amount , but of course would not say how much. They changed their story frequently. I am reporting this fraud immediately. This is all very disturbing to me. These people steal all personal information and then attempt to bully and blackmail people into paying for something they never received.
