Wanted a donation for FSP I dont live in Florida so why are they calling me and howd they get my number.

Robo call. Male voice. Went to voicemail and it only recorded the last few words: "Six one six five two. Goodbye." Those numbers don't match the number on the CallerID which was 813-444-5595.

Please hold for the next......no thanks.

This call was from a recording asking to please hold. within 10 seconds another recording starts from cancer bla bla bla.

KEEP RECEIVING CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER, NO MESSAGES LEFT BUT IT'S A REAL ANNOYANCE FOR THESE IDIOTS TO KEEP THIS UP AND SHOULD BE STOPPED !!!! IT'S GETTING REAL OLD REAL FAST !!!!!!! AND WHEN I TRY TO CALL NUMBER BACK GET RECORDING TO CALL BACK FROM NUMBER THEY CALLED ????? I DID, WHAT'S UP WITH THAT ! ? THERE ARE SOME AWFULLY IGNORANT PEOPLE OUT THERE WITH NOTHING BETTER TO DO I GUESS ? I HOPE THIS MESSAGE ACTUALLY GETS TO SOME ONE WHO CAN DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

It is for a union........They are very misleading in how they present themselves, they will never tell you on the phone that they are Union.......but the paperwork they send has union on it.

Received a phone call from this number today at noon and it was a man claiming to be from the sheriff's office soliciting donations. I told him to send me the paperwork in the mail and I would look at it. I hope that that gets them to stop calling.

Then doesn't this translate to the fact that the DNC list is basically useless?  Is the American public powerless to harassing calls that invade our privacy in our own homes?  We've put a man on the moon, but we can't control who enters our homes via nuisance calls..  short of removing the phone from your life.  Very discouraging that this has to be tolerated, like it or not.

The Do Not Call list applies solely to callers offering the sale of goods or services and then only if you have not done business with the company during the past 18 months. No other type of calls are covered.  The majority of nuisance calls fall under one of the various exempt categories or are from scammers and scofflaws.  That pretty much tells you any sales calls you do receive are from companies that you would never want to do business with anyway.  Reporting the calls seems like it does not do anything but the truth is, it takes lots of complaints and a significant amount of time to investigate and build a case against violators.  In addition, there isn't enough money in the entire Federal budget to investigate and go after each and every violator so only those with the most complaints even get looked at.  There is also the issue or more and more violators using off shore call centers and VOIP phone services that permit them to display fake numbers that cannot be called back making identifying the caller to charge with a violation very hard and expensive.

This particular caller appears to be in one of the exempt categories, soliciting for donations for a charitable organization.

I too got call today 7/31/2013 at 6pm. I did not answer, and caller did not leave message on answering machine. I am on the DO NOT CALL LIST, and an getting calls from all over the world. Thought the list
would stop that but getting more calls than ever before.

this tele # called me on fri 7/26/ asking for donation for Fl . State Police I asked where they were based out of they said New Port Richey I told them to send me paperwork re: this donation...... is this legit?

Got the call, they hung up.  Funny, it was right after I told them I'm Federal Law Enforcment.

I too got this call.  I didn't answer the phone.  Googled number. Husband is deputy. .These people hang up every time I tell them husband is deputy!

I got the same call, was told it was an organization that helps the Sherriff's and state's police and families. I offered to donate some money. But when I got the paperwork, it is a Union. I wrote on the papers that I do not support unions, I was under the impression it was going for a charity of some type, not a union. I wrote on the paperwork that I will not donate to a union.

So, if you answer, it is a union that is calling.

Received a call from this number 10:33 on 7/20/13.  I could hear a child crying in the background.  Caller said his name was Shaun or Sean, and he was raising money for the Florida State Troopers.  I told him to go $%#@ himself and I called the Tampa Investigative Branch of the Florida Highway Patrol to report this.  Their number is 813-558-1819.

Got a call from the number at 8:49 pm on 7/16 and there was no message left. When I called the number back there was a recorded message that said to "better serve you please call back from the number that they called."

Same as above, no one there.  I called back & got a recorded msg, call back from the number they called.
