Same scam for my boat on craigslist.  Wants to use paypal and have boat shipped.  Not a chance

Im seriously interested in buying this for my son I wish to view it but right now am out of state and am okay with your selling price. I'm a Adventure Traveler, I really want this as a surprise gift for my son so I wont let him know anything about this until it get delivered to him." number was 813-444-8476.

Just got same text word for word.and an email adress smithyoung467@gmail.com
they want paypal address and such.... nothing but B.S.!!!!!
They need to be caught by law enforcement... everyones input matters.
So if you get a text from them. report it!

I have a vehicle for sale on Craigslist and I was sent this text today from 1-813-444-8476:

"Good Afternoon, Am Smith Young, i will love to know if your  2007 Dodge Caravan - 130,000 km *FREE* set of winter tires included!!! - $5750 still available for sale ?"

813 is a Florida area code.  I live in Canada on the West Coast!  SCAMMER!

"This person is using another phone number but same email address. Contacted me about buying a power wheelchair for her son (who appears he can drive without any specialty assistance). Same text message word for word. Thanks for the heads up."

Try and post a warning under the new number you mentioned (if you haven't already). That way you may be helping someone else.

Had the exact same message texted to me as Mr Nice Guy above. Its even the same text, word for word. I  stated in my posting its a CASH SALE ONLY and nothing else will be considered. Theres no way I would even think of using Pay-Pal for selling a $20000 car, or even a $200 car for that matter. I will stick with the cash sales myself. I would avoid this person all together. I'm sure its a total scam!!

You will get something that looks like this from that number. AVOID and report !

Its the classis Overpayment Scam.

Your buyer will send you the asking price for your car plus more for a shipping company to take it from your home to his.  You to wire the shipping company their fee.  The buyer's payment to you bounces.  The buyer and his friend the shipping company split the shipping fee.  The buyer and his shipping company vanish.  

Ignore them.

Texted me offering to buy my car without looking at it. Said she wanted to buy it for her son and make it a surprise. As for me to email my paypal link so they can send money.

? Why would anyone entrust in just giving you their money with just pictures of your vehicle????
