Keeps calling, and when I answer they hang up.  When I dont answer they wont leave message. Caller ID says: name; 813-464-2362  number; 813-464-2373.  Note the #'s last two digits dont match.  I had a problem like this with a fundraiser a few months ago.  I wonder if its the same people with new tactics?

You You may want to put your number on the do not call list for the Police Athletic League.  They can be a pain in the butt, and are consistent.  Call 800-299-1895 when recording answers listen to and follow instructions ( there are several messages, the last one tells you how to get on do not call list ).  Good Luck.

Got a call from 813-464-2362 but didn't answer it in time. They left no message. Thinking it may have been someone from my work, I called it back and got an automatic answering machine that said you have reached the State of Florida Association Police Athletic League.

recd call from 813-464-2362- asked to speak to Mr.- when I questioned caller as to his name(Pete) and where he was calling from, he said he was from a place that wanted to talk to the man of the house, not the Mrs.???= then hung up.  Good way to get what you want huh?

Again a call from Tampa Florida (ID) today 7/22 at 10.29AM.
Got also a call 7/5, 7/7, 7/8, 7/15, 7/19 and today.
I have asked these people several times to stop calling us.
Now I have to pay money for a new tel.number.

The have called 2 nights in a row .. my 9 year old daughter answered both times and they keep hanging up on her.  Very rude!!!

Today 7/8 at 7.45 pm again a call from these people.

This people have scam us with money 2 or 3 times.
Telling us they are from law inforsement or organisers or community
service workers.

I recived all this calls this week  every day several times a day and I am mad about it and planning
to take drastic accions against this form of antisocial type of calling.

Received several calls from above number, however, since I have caller ID and don't recognize the number, didn't answer.
Believe that this is a scam.

Called at 8:49 am on Sat. 4/26/08.   Caller ID showed "out of area."  (The "out of area" and other false ID lines is a scam commonly used by telemarketers and collection agencies to mask their identity.)   No message was left on my answering machine, but voices could be heard in the background, so it must be a boiler room operation.   Area code 813 is Tamp. FL.    Back in October of 2007 the number was associated with  SOFAPAL or the "South Florida Police Athletic League."    I could find no further reference about this group beyond telemarketing complaints.  Also, legitimate Florida law enforcement does not solicit funds by telephone.    May be them again.  
Remember, even if the charity is "legit," the professional telemarketers they contract with keep about 85% of the donation for themselves--found that out the hard way.
