"Ryan Jones" called, very smooth talker - typical salesman pitch.... who would he need to talk to about the building electrical??  I told him that guy doesn't work out of this office, so he said he was going to send ME a large cooler on wheels, and he would "THROW IN" a box of trashcan liners.... and would I authorize that??  I said no, we will not buy anything from you.  He also tried to get my home address, but I told him to send it to the office address, which he didn't ask for.  He was very pushy, but he didn't get belligerent or anything.  He was pleasant.  So glad I didn't give out any information.

We have received several calls from this number to "confirm" information. We don't have any business with this number nor do we wish to do business with rude, pushy people.

The guy called and asked for for one of our operations guys by name. He was very friendly as if we were bffs. I knew what it was by the name.. they actually gave up for a good two months in the pas.

I said that he was unavailable & he responded "that's typical for him.  his cell phone number please?" I said "can we please get off the calling list".. & he responded "what calling list? there is no calling list". I said yes sir.. THIS calling list. he said "i guess ill have to destroy the phone book (chuckles)." i said thanks and he hung up.

I just received a call from this guy (I forgot his name....I get these calls all of the time and apparently his name wasn't important to me) at 9:37am.  Anytime I get a call from some guy trying to joke around with me and then says "oh and who was that guy in maintenance again?" the red flags pop up.  These scammers must just hope once in a while they will get through to someone at a company, but not where I work.  I am very familiar with these kinds of calls.  Sometimes I just keep them on hold until they hang up (which could be for 10 minutes...if I'm lucky:)).  I appreciate these websites where I can confirm my suspicions that they were just a scam.  Just throw them into a generic voicemail if your company has one.  Very annoying.

Got a call from this number on 3/7/2014 at 10:25 a.m. He immediately asked for who was in charge of the Property Management, he also talked very fast. When I asked what his name was and who he was with, he replied nastily "Fred the lighting guy" like we had this long standing business relationship that has lasted for years and that I should naturally know who he was. I didn't. I asked him to hold, just so I could run it by my boss. I know our lighting guy, and I know his name is not Fred. I told my boss, even though he did not know anyone by that name, he took the call. He offered a cooler which my boss denied, but my boss did say he would like their catalog. When "Fred" asked for the address, he was given a P.O. Box, which he said he could not take and that he needed a physical address. My boss then told him that any physical addresses are not handed out and for sure not over the phone, Fred hung up. If you get a call from this number and answer, do not give any information.

This is a scam...don't give any information...they are selling lighbulbs or some junk.

I received a call from this number. The person asked if I could help him by telling him who is in charge of buying the lighting supplies. I asked for his name and he told me, "Lance, the lighting guy." He kept asking for a name and I simply said we handle it all in house. He said, "Well, somebody has to buy the lights." "That's right," I replied. When he again asked who I again said it was all simply handled in house. He got frustrated with me and hung up.

Tried to weasel the name of whoever's in charge of maintenance out of me so they could 'send a catalog'. From the background noises sounded like a call center so I assumed it was a salesman or a scam.

This guy calls and asks for maintenance manager and his name.  At my place of business we get these alot.  So I asked what name he had and he said he did not know, and I needed to help him.  For the last 6 months we give these people fake maintenance people's names so we can laugh at them when they call back.  It's pretty funny but annoying too.  

Lighting/Janitorial vendor is trying to act as if we've done business for years and I should be well aware of his name. They are sketchy on the phone & then when you ask any question to get more specific details they stumble over their words. I always say that person isnt at their desk, then they have the nerve to ask for a cell number. (??!!?!) Sounds like a 5,000 employee call center in the background. Just tell them you're contracted with a company and to take you off their calling list.

One of the most rude, disrespectful phone solicitors I've ever encountered.  After I hung up the first time, "Ed" called me and asked "Did you just hang up on me?"  Very belligerent!  I'd never consider doing business with anyone like them.  Looked them up and they are out of Tampa.

Oh the guy Chip was so RUDE and ignorant.  He asked for our maintenance guy, I asked who is calling and where is he calling from. He says I'm chip the lighting guy. I said What is this exactly in regards to, he said now that's not helping me so rudely, just tell me who it is. I said well being so rude to me gets you nowhere, he says well you were no help and hung up.  I pray that company blows up. I pray that Chip gets flattened by someone to become human.

1/29/14- Received a call at from rude, pushy, robotic sounding female ("April"), usually a good indication of a telemarketer/scam/annoying phone call, requesting in "that tone" the "warehouse guy". Real professional sweetheart! She, like the other comments, didn't want to give ME any info but was DEMANDING info from me?! Um, NO! I wrote down the number she didn't want to give me from the caller ID and finally got the name April from her and the company "Commercial". A little research lead me to the company Commercial Lighting Company with a matching phone number (813) 514-1266 , http://www.clcbulbs.com/about-us/. No, we don't want your catalog or to do business with rude and pushy people such as yourself, please feel free to send me your catalog so I can take it home and gladly put it to use it to line the bottom of my pets potty patch.

Called and asked if I could help them, and wanted to know who was in charge of maintenance.  Tried to act like they knew who that person was, and said it was "Fran" calling.  The funniest part is the same girl called again about 5 minutes later into one of our other lines, gave the same fake request, but changed her name to "Kaitlin".  

Just received a call from the same number. Couldn't hardly hear the dude on the phone. Asked me who my maintenance person was I stated don't have any. He then asked me who would purchase our light bulbs I stated that would be the President of the company. He asked if he could speak with him I stated he's out of the country for 2 weeks he said well good for him. He said he'll call back at a later date. That's fine MR. but your not getting threw to the President you have to get threw me first, and that not happening.!!!! Why don't people just go out and get an honest job??

So rude, feel for him, trying to make a living by scamming.  He knew the "right" persons name but did not want his voices mail.  Wanted me to give up or transfer him to his cell phone.  I told him I would have him call him back and blip he was gone!

Female named Christian asked for our maintenance manager.  I asked the name of the company and she just said "Commercial".  I told her she'd have to go through me because the "maintenance manager" (we don't really have one) doesn't come in to the office very often.  She said okay and asked my name.  I will NOT give my name out to scammers, which when they ask what a manager's name is, I know is a clue we don't do business with them.  Asked what she wanted and she said to send a lighting catalog.  I said no thanks and hung up.

I received a call from this number. He said his name was Tommy. He talked like I had known for years. He also talked really fast. I told him I didn't need anything and then he said he was going to send me a Hillshire farms gift basket. He asked for MY HOME ADDRESS. I told him no and I would give him the business address and I did. He then wanted my LAST name for the shipping. I asked him why and he said it was how they did things. I told him NO YOU DON"T NEED A LAST NAME TO SHIP ANYTHING. He said thanks and hung up.    WHAT A BUNCH OF LOSERS!!!!!!!!

I just got a call at my office from this number. A man said he wanted to speak with the office manager. I asked what it was in regards to and he said it was in regards to the property manager and maintenance. I said we don't have our own maintenance person and that our building employs the maintenance (usually this is enough to get the scammers off the phone). But no, this guy had to keep it going and be BEYOND rude. He wouldn't tell me his name or the company he was calling from, just continued to yell at me saying "Are you serious?! I just told you what I need! Let me talk to them!" like I was the stupid one for not putting him through when I don't even have access to do so... as I told him! He hung up on me before I could get a nice F you in there. If you're going to work at a scam company, at least be polite when I don't give you the info because I know you're a scammer - don't yell at me at 9am!

I just got off the phone with a man calling from this number... he asked me who the building manager was... we do not have a building manager... but an operations manager yes, he then said he would be calling him back at a later time... I quickly looked up the number (like i always do when random calls such as this catch my attention) and low and behold... SCAM!!! I immediatly advised my ops. manager if this number calls him to not speak with him or her!!!

"Nichol" called our company this morning asking for our CFO by name. She was talking fast and kind of garbled.  I went down the hall to ask my CFO is he knew someone named Nicole and he said no but would take the call anyway.  If I had known that this was a scammer telemarketer I would never let her through.  These people need to be reported.  If you get a call from this number just hang up.

The callers from 813-514-1266 try to SCAM you into "confirming" a shipment of light bulbs. They target victim are businesses and they will ask you to confirm that "----insert name----" ordered the bulbs and you just need to confirm the address. They get the name from a previous call asking 'who is in charge of _______'.

Just got a call.  He said he was the lighting guy.  He asked for my boss by his first name.  He said that he was Charlie with Commercial.  I said he wasn't available.  Then he asked for my boss's cell number.  I told him that he wasn't available by phone.  He then hung up on me.  Good, because I don't give out his cell number.

Caller immediately tried to play the smooth talker role and then confirm whether I was in charge of purchasing light bulbs and janitorial supplies without disclosing her name or company.  When asked she stated she was calling from "Commercial" in a tone as if we had done business for years, which we have not.  She promised to send gifts to my home address when I told her I could not accept them.  I informed her I do not do business that way so she suggested shipping to the work address.  

She attempted to confirm my name, trying in desperation to push out product, however, claiming it was only to send their catalog in a cooler.  So many red flags it is not funny.   Should you receive a call, I would recommend hanging up on these scammers.
