A MAN CALLED SAID HIS NAME IS ANGUS WILCOX?  AND WHEN THE PERSON HE ASKED FOR WAS'NT HERE HE TRIED TO MAKE ME GIVE HIS CELL# OUT,WHEN I SAID NO AND OFFERED TO SEND A MESSAGE TO MY BOSS WITH HIS # TO CALL HIM HE BECAME ANGRY AND HUNG UP ON ME.PEOPLE LIKE THIS REALLY MAKE MY JOB DIFFICULT

TOTAL SCAM.  THEY WILL GET YOUR INFO AND SEND YOU A BOX OF TAPE THEN BILL YOU $700.00 FOR IT.

They called asking for our maintenance person.  This is a house, and he got mad and hung up.

Called, I announced our company name and asked how I could help them. A man asked, "can you help me, who is the person that does your building maintenance." I said, That would be me. He clicked me.

I received a call from these a**holes last week. Actually they called last year and the maintenace guy here is non existant considering we are an office of 4. I made up a name (to be nice and I was new with the company) and of course every time they called and asked for "Bill" we knew exactly who was calling and just said he wasn't here.  Last week was different though because I got the "Who's the maintenance guy there again? I just talked to him."  I said no you didn't because we don't have a maintenance guy here"  he than said "are you calling me a liar?" I said "Yes I am" and said that if he was selling light bulbs I'm not interested. He than got rude and said "aren't you unattractive " I hung up on him.  I was fuming, I googled to try to find a number to call back and complain and found several other people have been dealing with this too.  I am in Canada so these guys don't let borders stop them.

AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHh this lady just made me so mad. I ask repeatedly what this is for and is it free. And all she replies with is it's a fancy way to get our catalog to you. NO yes this is free straight forward answer. I'm pretty smart with these people. So her final response, You are obviously not authorized for this decision! What idiots these people are!

rec'd call today .. Yeah, bud... could you tell me the guy's name who does maintenance... round and round.. this is Bob "over here at Commercial Supplies"... I asked where "over here" means, since we are in Virginia.. he mentioned they are in Texas... that would be "over there" LOL.
I explained I have long-term relationship with supplier..he talked about light bulbs (a real turn-on) and cleaning supplies...

then, "we are sending these neat Nascar coolers to some of the guys.."  

I don't need a cooler, but thanks for your call.

This knucklehead named Bob Ellis continues to call. When you do speak with him, he starts talking in third person, and says " Bobby needs to put his kids through college and needs you to help him out." This clown is a class A huckster. Don't talk with him, don't listen to his jive, don't deal with him at all. He and his company are nothing but ripoffs. Hang up immediately.

Called once and there was some woman screaming in the background and he hung up.  Called back a minute later and asked for our maintenace person. I told him we weren't accepting sells calls at this time and wished him a nice day and he got nasty so I hung up.  What a jerk.

We are a school district with 11 different sites. A man and woman both called at different times.  I had put them through to voicemail several times, since my boss truly is rarely in the office.  Then they started calling one of the elementary schools.  When the secretary there tried to transfer the call to me, they both hung up.  When I tried to call the number, I heard the recording,"Your number cannot be completed as dialed."  Then I looked up the number on the internet and discovered all of the complaints.  The guy called at least three times after I discovered the scam. On his last call, I had him on speaker phone.  When he started actually yelling that he wanted to talk to Norm, I simply laughed, told him that he wasn't about to talk to my boss, and hung up!!

guy called, asking for who does our maintenace on electrical.  I told him he called a house, what a moron.  He was trying to sell light bulbs to a residential place, what a #$% wipe.

Called wanting to talk to my maintenance person. When I told them we dont own the building. She said can I talk to the person that's in charge of Maintenance. I said I dont know who that is. I don't even know who owns the building it's like 3 different people. Then I asked her if she knows what company she called. She mentioned the name. I said that company went out of business about a year ago.(Which it was sold to new people) I told her to get her information straight before she calls and waste anyone elses time. and hung up. I tried to call the number back and it gives me an error.

This company runs a classic scam that has been around for years. It works best with small to medium size 24 hour businesses. a representative from the lighting company calls the business (in my a case a hotel) early evening or during the weekend and will identify themselves to the operator with something like ?hi this is John Doe from American lighting and we have the florescent bulbs in that were back ordered would you like us to go ahead and send them out now??. There is usually one of three responses all are fine with the scammer. 1) The desk person says send them, reasoning they must have been something the property needed 2) lets the caller know that XXXX does the ordering and he has gone for the day or 3) the scammer is transferred to engineering/maintenance where they repeat the backorder pitch to the 2nd shift maintenance person who is usually not the person that does the ordering. What the scammer is looking for is a name to put on the packing slip so when the box of over prices bulbs arrives they say attention XXXX. The package is always sign for at the property. You now have a box of bulbs being kicked around the property and eventually the box is broken into and used. You will receive the bill for the bulbs about 45-60 days later and in most cases you will just pay it not even realizing you where paying double the price of high quality light bulbs for cheap bulbs or you do notice but due to the passage of time the box has been opens and some bulbs used so you begrudgingly pay the bill telling the maintenance person to check pricing better next time (even though he had nothing to do with it).

This guy had the same M.O.,acting like he couldn't remember the name. I told him "Pedro" When he asked to talk to him, I said he doesn't speak english (which he does)then he said "grrreeaat" w/ a disgusted tone and hung up.

Very rude man called and asked for my husband when i said he wasnt here he hung up on me while i was asking him a question.  I tried to call the number back and it will not go through.

Rude, does not leave call back number and is very offensive with people answering the phone

The guy calls and when he's told that the person isn't here, he huffs and hangs up on you.  Totally rude and unprofessional!  It's no wonder nobody wants to talk to him.  He should get a realy job.

Totally rude!  Ask for someone who is off today and he hung up on me.  Did this once before too.

Got a call from pattie inquiring about who does our maintenance.  I asked her who she represents and she said commercial.  When I asked commercial who she said commercial lighting and that she was the light bulb girl.  I told her to hold on and put her on hold.  Left her there :)

He said his name was John and asked for our maintenance person acting like he couldn;'t remember his name.  When I told him we didn't have any one in that position (we are an office of 3 and we each change our own light bulbs!) he told me I was lying and that SOMEONE must change our light bulbs!  I then asked him what company he was with again and he sai "I already told you!"  I told him we didn't deal with companies over the phone in reference ot our maintenance.  He continued to be rude, so I disconnected the call.

This creep called today and said, "Help me out again, who is the guy who is in charge of your maintenance". He was trying to sound like he had spoke to him before but couldnt remember his name. We are a small cabinet shop so we dont really have one person who does all maintenance. I told him that and He then he said, "you know the guy who changes you bulbs and valances. I told him a guy from Idaho comes in and we buy the bulbs from him and he installs them. Then he just hung up on me. Nice phone manners I bet its a real reputable company. Our caller ID said Commercial Light

Wanted to sell us light bulbs.  Asked to talk to our maintenance person.  I told him there was no specific person who does that job (we're a small company).  I passed him to the guy who usually changes our bulbs.  When my co-worker explained to him that we have a wholesale light fixture place next door that we get our light bulbs from, he hung up on him.  I believe the caller's name was John.

Lady was trying to tell me that we ordered light bulbs, but i guess she didn't do her research to know i own the company and the building.  when i told her that she said i was lying i lease the building and the owner ordered the light bulbs.  i told her she was a scammer so she hung up.

Rude guy trying to sell light bulbs.  I told him we use skylights for everything and don't use bulbs anymore...that got rid of him quick.  lol

They start off by telling you they are sending you a free 48 quart NASCAR cooler and ask for your home address.  Then they start trying to get you to buy lightbulbs.  The guy trys to convince you that he handles your part of the state.
