Me too.  Don't have a B of A debit card, but I called just for kicks.  They wanted my SSN...definitely a scam....

Received call from this number via vtext.com.

Just got the same msg in TN. Has anyone tyoed in their social number??

I received the same text message but did not call it and after reading what you all have to say, I am glad that I didn't.

same ... achieve is limited. call 18136001576. from 5577000@vtext.com. about 8 pm. on verizon prepaid phone.

Do not call back they asking for your social security security /account number
I calked to Band of America and say they never send tx massages to customers

Received 2 texts one saying achieve is limited and another saying fellows is limited. TN here.

I got the same text about the limited and a text saying urgent. My grandmother got the same text

I received the same message asking me to call 18136001576. Before the text [From 6245] Also gave 5025616@vtext.com. Received at 9:04pm 11/29/2013

Got the same text a little while ago.  Tennessee here too.

I just received a text saying my Achieve is limited from this #. Not touching it!

I just got this message as well. "We are sorry to announce that your Achieve is limited.Call: 18136001576" I did not call it. Received it in Tennessee at 8:36pm 11/29/13 from 5985025@vtext.com

I can only imagine it is a scam.

I got a message saying ba.of.am.-issue and I have no idea what it is but I've gotten the message multiple times from a @vtext.com thing that says to call this number

I got a call on my cell phone from this number and I afraid to click on the message.

I received the same message and informed my bank about it as it said my debit card was limited.

My MIL got the same text msg this PM. Odd phishing it seems.

Got the text too. I called and it told me to press 1 to reactivate my debit card. Didn't press anything and after a few seconds it told me to TYPE IN MY SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER. So I hung up.

Checked number. R1CU translates to Resource One Credit Union. Address: P. O. Box 660077, Dallas, TX 75266-0077. Internet: R1CU.org (or) info@R1CU. I could not find any connections to a Tampa, Florida, address; the area code 813 indicates this origin. The only R1 company I could find in Florida is a retailer of cleaning supplies (!).

As 800notes can tell you: Report this to the FCC, the FTC, and (you will have to wait 30 days for your application to be activated), the Do Not Call Registry. Be sure to keep notes on any details you may remember, like the time of day, if you herd a voice message, and if you were told to push a number. Do this as quickly as you can. Many thanks.
