This number is reported associated with an Advance-Fee scam involving travel for job interviews. I was not the victim and the attempt was not successful.

Job scam for Arizona Salon manager.  Print ad in Arizona Republic. He wants you to fly out for an interview, but want you to wire money for your return trip home.  The number in the ad was 813-814-3880.  When pressed for a callback number he gave 617-301-8355.

The same number appears on other ads for other locales.  The M.O. of the scam is the same.  617-301-8355 is heavily associated with scam reports.

I called about an add in the newspaper here in Evansville Indiana. I got a recording of a voice of a man who speaked really fast. It said the position was for a flight attendant for a charter jet service.  It said it needed someone with hotel/restarant customer service background. I left my name and number.  The same guy who left recording called me back today. He asked a little about my background and if this was a job I would be interested in working. He said he was going into a meeting to discuss who would be flew in for an inveriew in San Diego CA.  I received a call about 1hr later, he said I was one of the 8 chosen for the interview.  He then told me to have a pen and paper ready and he would call me back in one hour with my travel arrangements.  This sounded like a great job, however after reading some of the other stories posted...is this a scam??

I also called about the flight attendant position in my local paper, Evansville, IN.  I left a message with my name and number, the guy called me within a few hours.  He asked some general questions and said he would call me back between 8-8:30 that evening.  When he called he asked me some general background questions and said they would be making call backs in the morning to the few they would like to send to San Diego for an interview.  He called in the morning and said I had been selected for an interview, and asked that I pay half of the ticket price to San Diego for the interview.  Also, some lady by the name of Lisa Kemp would meet me at the gate (in San Diego) and return the $267.00 for MY half of the ticket cost.  Once I told him I would not send money for the ticket he informed me that the only other option for the position would be that on the 29th someone from his company would be in my area to do on the spot interviews.  He then hung up the phone.  BE CAREFUL!!!!

My experience was almost identical to the other comments right down to the $267.00 dollars which was requested sent Western Union. Just My dream job was in the caynen Islands building resort communities for the richest people in the world. The company name given was Dania Resorts in Houston, TX. and the contact names Steve Willis and Dave Langley.

I responded to an ad for a Construction Manager for a large Resorts Corp. on Careerbuilder.com  Phone number was 813-814-3878.  Same scene.  Left my phone number, and a man with a gruff voice called me back.  Very short conversation.  We'll call you back tomorrow between 10-11.  I ran the phone number thru Google and found this site.  Thank You!!!!!!!!
Same man called back today as promised.  Caller ID was a Private Number(another clue it was a scam).  I told him I knew it was a scam and didn't want to talk.  He asked if I was on any medications and hung up.
