There is an add in the Modesto Bee this week with this phone number. Add is seeking Security Supervisor of Casino. My husband called this number today. Left message with his name and phone number. It is a recording. It does say that travel is involved in this position.  I am sure this person will call back soon.  I have read all these remarks to my husband, so, Thanks everyone for your heads up on this person.  I am sure we will not fall short to discuss anything with this person at all.  I will also call the Modesto Bee tomorrow and let them know of this Fraud advertisement.
HOPE SOMEONE CATCHES THIS PERSON REAL SOON.

I answered the internet ad for the same position and got a call from a Bruce Hilton, a guy that has a NY accent, going through apparently the same fast-paste line of bull.  And yes...I am miraculously one of the three chosen WITHOUT ever having seen my resume!  He just asked how many years construction experience and how many people I have supervised.  I can't wait for his call back to tell him I notified the Tampa FBI about this interstate/international scam!

Do you know if the money was really picked up in Orlando?  When you wire money via Western Union, it can actually be picked up anywhere in the world.   Western Union will tell you what city/state but that's it.

I received a call from Shaun Hilton representing Halifax International Corporation in less than 24 hours after responding to a help wanted ad in the Arkansasa Democrat-Gazette. I was subjected to the same exact scam as outlined in the previous posts only with a few name changes. I was directed to find a Western Union and wire 1/2 of the airfare ($174.00 plus the $12.00 WU fee) to a Ron Lasinski who would meet me at "the gate" upon arriving for an interview for the Construction Manager position managing a project in the Bahamas from Little Rock, AR! Very persistent with heavy pressure to send the money today or it would be too late to be Ior a job. Scumbags running a scam. Stay away. I will contact the publication that ran this ad in order to alert them that their source is facilitating a scam that preys upon the unemployed in these unfortunate times.

Alert!!! this is the season,,, this guy did call a customer of mine with the same info as above. And to tell you all, this happens all the time. If its too good to be true it's because it is. Another fraud is if they send you a check and tell you to deposit it and shop Westren Union and wire money back to them. but keep a cut for your pay. Fraud!!! they pray on the unemployed and look at your resume and use it to lure you in. BEWARE!!!!

Same here, supposed to call me back tomorrow with western union information. I told him I could not do it today and he ask me why. Told him I was only working part time as an estimator and needed to get paid. He was persistant about the new policy. He is still going by Doug Landry and I was to meet Dave Hampton at the gate to be re-imbursed the $186.00 cost for half a ticket that they got for $372.00 from there travel agency. He never told me where I was to go, said he would tell me that after I got the money up. No resume, just three short almost robotic phone calls and they where going to bring me for an interview for one of three positions. # resorts in Bahamas off Florida Coast. I was supposed to go on Friday the 20th. Can not wait till he calles me tomorrow.

The economy right now is horrible and they are kicking these poor people while there down by giving them false hopes and taking money from them that they probably don't have to give because they are unemployed.. They are taking from families that need every penny for their kids, bills, medications etc. These jerks are surly going to hell for these stunts..

I found the ad for Construction Manager in the Kansas City, Mo. Star. Made the call to a voicemail. A "Doug Landry" called back 15 minutes later. Said he worked for Shangri-La Resorts and needed me right away. Paying $1550 per week. He would not shut up. When I asked why setup an office in KC when he was telling me I would be working in the Bahamas, he said that was up to management not him. Wanted to fly me to the Bahamas in 4 days after I paid $356 for the ticket up front, but I was to be reimbursed in full as soon as I met his Regional VP at the airport. I told him to "GO F_ _ _ YOURSELF" . Pretty sad state of affairs when the a***oles start praying on the unemployed.

I answered an ad in the San Antonio Express News for a Construction Manager.  Exact same scenario as above. I never interviwed or sent him my resume and was willing to fly me to the jobsite.  I asked him if i needed a passport and he said none was needed.  I have traveled to the Bahamas and all over the world and I know that you need a passport.  He called me back telling him that I was chosen for an interview.  He then said he worked for the HR department and would call me back with the flight information and job requirements for me to carry back to the interview.

Leisure Connections does exist in the UK but they do leisure management and NOT Construction Work.

This is all one BIG SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!!!!!!!

Do not send resume or give any information.

THIS IS A SCAM & is still running.  We answered an ad for a construction mgr for 3 new resorts in the Bahamas.  He goes by Steve Larson now.  Phone # is 813-814-3897.  My husband never interviewed with this guy nor sent in his resume for the job and Steve stated there were 3 positions being interviewed for and (wouldn't you know it) ONLY 3 applicants who met the requirements.  He the asked us to Western Union 1/2 of the price of a plane ticket ($176.00) to James Evans in Orlando FL.  A guy named Dave Kent would meet my husband upon plane arrival in the Bahamas.  The ticket was to cost (total $352.00).  I looked up the cost of a ticket within the week and THE LOWEST I could find was over $450.  I will be reporting him to western union & anyone else I can think of.

Thanks to all of you (& a sneaking too good to be true feeling) we did NOT fall prey to this.
