I sent these guys an account for $2610.00. This account was 3 years old. They collected the money in 8 days. I did get a call from the guy who owed me the money and he was upset. He told me to look at this web site. He was the GC on the job and they contacted the owner of the property that he does a lot of work for and told him that they were not paying the subs. THAT GOT THE DEBT PAID FAST. I know people have written a lot of bad things about this collection agency. You have to keep in mind that these are debtors that owe money. They have been getting away with not paying people for so long that when they run into a company that is as serious about the money as Winthorpe then they get mad and write a complaint on the net. I have a suggestion for these people. STOP TRYING TO STEAL FROM OTHERS!!!!! I WILL BE A CUSTOMER FOR LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY DID A GREAT JOB IN MY BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Winthrop called me today. He threatened me, insulted me and lied to me regarding a dispute that was settled.

I placed a 74k account with Winthorpe and it was 3 months away from being out of stat.Gavin Alexander got the money for me two weeks ago. I WORKED THIS FOR OVER 2 YEARS. It looks like he has a lot of upset debtors writing reviews about him. I would love to give this guy a kiss for his efforts. I would refer these guys any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Are you kidding me. These guys just collected 11k for me. I worked the account for over 2 years and gave up on the money. Gavin Alexander got involved and we had it collected in 3 weeks. This guy gets the job done. I am very happy with Winthorpe. Looks like this month is turning out to be a good month for my small business.

You can tell that everything that has been posted has come from debtors that have had to pay a debt that they never intended on paying. I would be more concerned about placing my debt with a collection agency that made everybody happy. I have spoken to their clients and they state they walk on water. I am going to give them a shot. I will share my experience with you. Give me 30 days.

Got a call from one of my debtors. She claimed she had been mistreated. She claims that they cursed her out. I called Winthorpe and was very concerned about all the call. They recorded the call and played it back to me. EVERYTHING THIS LADY SAID WAS UNTRUE. She was trying take my attention away from the fact that she owed money by claiming she was abused. She even tried to tell me to go to this website because she posted false information on here. They have collected 12 out of 17 accounts. I thought that someone needed to set the record straight. I tried to explain to Mr. Alexander that he was trying to collect on a debt that was not the responsibility of our company. We never contracted services with his client.  I tried multiple times to give him the responsible parties information. I was nothing but courteous to him. He would not listen, continued to yell and be ignorant, make threats, and berate me. I finally said have a nice day and hung up. He has since called and berated our Secretary and harassed family members of the company owner. He is the most unprofessional BILL COLLECTOR (not attorney as he claims)! I would NEVER hire this incompetent nut job to represent our company to collect outstanding debts. He is violating the law with his antics. I am turning it over to our corporate attorney this afternoon. Recording phone conversations is legal in our state and I plan on recording all of his future calls for legal action.

I sent 37 accounts to these guys. They collected 32. One of the accounts was bankrupt so they could not do anything with the account. I thought they were promising me more than they could deliver. I am proud to say I was wrong. The did an outstanding job!!!!!!!!!!!!

They called me and insulted me and my family. Said they bet my dead father was so proud of his son who doesn't pay his bills. Told me I needed to get a job and quit ripping people off.
I contacted the States Attorney General and filed a complaint and contacted my attorney.

Placed 13 accounts with Winthorpe and they collected 11 of them. The last 3 I sent were collected in 9 days. You can't ask a company to do any better than that. Very professional and kept me in the loop the entire time.

I was pretty pissed off too when they contacted me. I paid the money that my company owed and called back in several weeks later to make sure that everything was clear. I was shocked to see that somebody would go to this level to collect, but overall they were actually good at their job and very professional. It's water under the bridge.

I was also contacted by Winthorpe and associates regarding a large balance owed to a contractor for work they had done on one of my properties. I found Mr. Alexander to be very professional and quite helpful.....he listened to my dispute and was able to negotiate a fair settlement that all parties could agree upon. He even offered me a payment plan in two separate installments, as I did not have the entire amount agreed upon readily available. I'm relieved to have this matter settled and behind me!

JUST GOT A CALL FROM ONE OF WINTHORPE'S X-EMPLOYEES. HE ASKED ME TO GO TO THIS SITE AND LOOK AT WINTHORPE BECAUSE HE WANTED TO DO WORK FOR ME. HE HAD NO REFERENCES OF ANY KIND. HIS SALES PACKET LOOKED TERRIBLE. NO LICENCE OF ANY KIND.HE NEVER TOLD ME WHY HE WOULD BE THE BETTER CHOICE JUST TRIED TO RUN DOWN WINTHORPE. I DID MY RESERCH ON THIS COMPANY BEFORE I PLACED DEBT AND THEY HAVE A GREAT TRACK RECORD WITH MANY REFERENCES. I TOLD HIM THAT I WAS HAPPY WITH THEM AND THAT THEY DO A GREAT JOB AND ADVISED HIM THAT IT WAS OBVIOUS HE WAS THE ONE TRYING TO POST THINGS ON THIS SITE IN ORDER TO TAKE AWAY CLIENTS FROM HIS X-EMPLOYER. Just got a call from the same guy. The x-employee from Winthorpe. He thinks that because he has ran his old employer into the ground on the internet that he will be able to take their clients.These guys collected over 63,000.00 for me last month. They even helped me with my contracts so that we could avoid having collection problems in the future. How many collection agencies would do that? They did what they said they would do. I was even able to go back and do work for the same companies. That was a miracle.. IF SOMEONE HAD A HOUSE REPOED IT WOULD BE PUBLIC RECORD. I know that because my wife is in real estate. THE TAX ASSESSOR HAS NO RECORD OF THE DEFAULT. The rest of the info is most likely fiction as well.

Are you kidding me.....these people knew everything about me.........where I work, how much I make and what I own. They listed off all of my assets down to the make and model of car I drive.....they even had info on my ex-husband who I've been divorced from for over a year.....how the hell do they get this information....talk about a total invasion of my life......over a 1586.00 bill.....I don't think so.

Here is some info for the world to hear. Winthorpe collected on my account in 22 hours. Let's see if that is some kind of record. This is the only debt I have had over the last 27 months. If this happens again I will not wait one minute, it will go straight to Winthorpe.

Sounds like you may just be employeed by Winthrope, as I just had to do business with them (which was due to an error on a contractors end) and they were anything but pleasant. Whimpy little guys who have to hide behind a phone line to have a sense of empowerment.

Phenomenal work!!! I've tried 4 or 5 different agencies to help me with delinquencies owed to my plumbing company and these guys are the only ones who actually got the job done. I will continue to place my accounts with as needed.
