How do you know it was a middle eastern accent .. correction.. you should say language not accent for starters. I believe you should take responsiblity for your former matters and stop avoiding them by making such excuses that the calls to you are a scam. ;)

I got a call from these a***oles on  3 different occasions. Initially I was worried because I had taken out a payday advance, but I paid it back. So I tried calling back and each time it would act like the number was "out of order". Then I looked the number up online to find out that they are a huge SCAM-O. So today I called one last time to see if they wanted to give their side of the story. He answered, so I told him I have received a call from this number. He asked for my number and put me on hold. 2 minutes later he comes back and asks me for my full name & I said "I will only give you my first, Dianna". So he then proceeded to tell me my last name and I asked where on earth he got my name from. His response - "we are legally not allowed to give that information out". B***S*** you aren't! I said am not answering anymore questions until he tells me who he really is. To which he said sebastian, but the two names I had on my voicemail were DEFINITELY from him and niether were the name "sebastion". Not to mention he does in fact sound like he hails straight from india. Anyways, so "sebastion" (if thats really his name) told me I needed to give him my attorneys information. What a load of crap, I ended up cursing at him and telling him if he didn't stop calling then he would be deported back to wherever the f*** he came from!

This number called repeatedly 6-8 times in a row. He finally left a message and said his name was Kevin Peterson and after that his speech was really slurred and I could barely make out what he was saying--he said he was looking for a Trina Howell (which is not me & this is my office number he's calling) and the last thing he said was if "Trina" didn't call him back she would be in big trouble and some other crap. How can you basically threaten somebody over the phone and think that's ok? If he calls again I'm gonna cuss his a** out! smh

I WAS A VICTIM OF THIS COMPANY!!!! THEY ARE SCAM CENTRAL AND I AM OUT A LOT OF MONEY!!!

I got a call from a guy named mark kelly and he was an attorney... If I did pay the 768 I would have to pay 8 thousand in court fees and I would go to jail for five years.... They don't except any payments under 300 and if u don't pay ur going to jail and have a bless day... Smh..

I just played these fools!!! I called them back after they called my wife saying his name was Steve Smith....So I called and asked for Steve "Spence" because I wanted to pay the loan off. Now there was never a Steve Spence!!! but I got a call immediately from this guy saying he is Steve Spence...he got more excited than a punk with a bag of dix!!!!...lol...he walked me through going to get a MoneyPak to pay the loan. I acted as if I was at the store putting the money on the card...i told him I wanted to pay more than the loan so I can not get in trouble....of course he agreed..as soon as he told me what to do with the monepak.......HE GOT THE WORST CUSSING OUT OF HIS WORTHLESS LIFE!!!!....all he could say was "duh-uh-duh".......

I have been getting these calls several times, decided to answer, before he could say anything I got their address and name of company Roger Smith and Associates or something like that hard to understand, then asked for their address 514 8th ave Folsen PA 19033. The he started to talk again and I again interrupted him and asked him the name of the people charging me American Payday Loan, let him continue a moment longer then asked him what bank, Had him there, don't bank at the bank he said. Gottcha hopefully they won't call back His name was Jack Miller, I could hardly understand him

Received call from a foreign lady who is Asian saying that my name & the last 4 digits of my social came up, but how in the hell did they get my phone number because I haven't even had this number a yr yet. Yes, I have gotten a payday loan but it wasn't from them and I spoke w/a rep from where I did get the loan inquiring about it and she told me that when you make a loan you have to have a bank acct where they put the money in and then when  its time to pay back they withdraw it out of that same acct. She also stated that when you apply for things on the internet regardless of how safe you're told they are, it's not true. Once you fill out an application over the internet hackers can get your information in less then a minutes time. I'm to the point now where I'm planning to do as I use to before the internet came out w/paying over the internet as well as a lot of other things. I'm going back to old school & mail everything in. Something needs to be done about this. If it was me, they'd catch me in a heart beat. If we have the phone numbers what makes it so difficult for the authorities to track down. That's a bunch of "BULL" too.

May 11th, same call. His name he said was John Smith! Not with that accent you aren't. Court date Monday morning, and its friday late evening now. He left a voicemail telling me if I didn't call him back right away that he wishes me luck. I know he has my last 4 digits on my ss#. He knows my address. He knows what bank I use. He tried to get me to answer questions and I told him not without talking to my attorney first. He said fine, on Monday we will press charges for fraud...criminal charges. I said to him give me half an hour i will call u back, that I had to see if I could possibly get some money from my dad/family. He said he is leaving in 15 minutes that I need to call him back before then. I said ok, will be quick. I hung up, called my bankruptcy attorney who said hang up on him, that thhisis not legit, they can't press criminal charges on you and that its only $310 he wanted. She said this is CLEARLY A SCAM and DO NOT give them any info. I also called my bank to verify that this money was not ever deposited electronically or otherwise, and that DO NOT give bank account info because they will clean you out to your last penny. So obviously they don't have my account number or else they would have done that. I was polite enough to call the guy back...because it was about the 15 minute deadline due and now I'm pretty upset that they tried to pull this off. I told them I'm not giving you any money. I don't even know who you are cause they didn't tell me after asking several times. They turned that question into something else to avoid answering that question...and I never heard  the response clearly enough through that thick accent, which was on purposee...had to be. I told them that I talked to my bank who verified that there was never any payday loan depsoited to my account, from American Payday Loan, of which these guys said they were working on behalf of. And no deposit ever for the exact amount of $310 ....EVER! So this guy said that well maybe it was identity theft but that if that was the case, I still will be held responsible because tthey have my ss#, so I better stilll pay them. I said who am I sending money to, that I'm not sending any money to anyone if I don't know who its going to and what its for, and he hasn't provided that info to me. I then proceeded to tell him that I did contact my attorney and they said there is no way they can do this, that it is CLEARLY a scam, and that I should just hang up and not talk to them AT ALL. I said to this guy that it is evident to me that I'm the one that needs to filing criminal charges against you to the police...then I started to say .....So tell me who you are again so I can tell the police who you are....aand before I got all that out of my mouth, the phone went silent on me. But I have to say, it sure did ruin my day, stressed me out so bad I had to cry for a few minutes to release the stress. This issue has consumed my whole day, of which I need to be doing other things, like maybe FIND A JOB which pops first into my mind, so I can pay the people who I actually do owe money to.  Which is a clue of why this scared me so much...I have no job, no income, have people who rely on me financially for the moment. These people need to be caught! They can't be doing this to peoplee. Its inhumane. I could hear the background noise while talking to this guy...I could here many voices in the background...all middle eastern accent from the voices that I could make out a word here or there. But what can we do to stop these people.

I received  the same call today May 11, 2012.   He told me I had a Pay Day loan that I needed to pay back. He said  I was  being  sued, and had a court date tomorrow.  Also said he would send  the authorities  to arrest me  at  my place of employment.    He said his name is Kevin Peterson.  with that accent I doubt it was his real name.    Big Problem  Is  He Has My Social Security Number

Ive gotten 4 calls today alone, from this number but from a female who i really couldnt understand, the only thing i did understand was it was time sensative and she needed to hear from me today, if she didnt all she could do is say Good Luck.
The other day i got the same call from a Melvin Thomas out of NC who stated he was a state investigator and a warrant was being issued with a restraining order attached,
These calls are such a joke, one said they were charging me with fraud cause i closed my account,

I got a call from this number by "Megan White" (Yeah, right!) I asked her where she was located and she said (or what I could understand) was the law firm of Ross Smith and Associates in Philadelphia and if I didn't pay money I was in grave danger. Since I owe NO ONE I asked her to lunch! (LOL)

Ok so I am a secretary at my job. So i answer the phone. We have caller ID so i can see whos calling. Starting yesterday this number started calling. It hit one line and even though i was still on the line with the first call (which by the way no one was there), the same number hit line 2 ... even though i was still on line 1 with it... It was weird... after that It hit lines 3 & 4. So it kept happening all day, i just got to where when i saw the number i just picked it up and hung up. Day 2 ... and it has already begun. Its hit 3 lines so far. Its just flat out annoying and wasting my time at work.

Received a VM from 'Daniel Stevens' wishing me luck if I didn't return his call. I returned the call and was disconnected. Tried again and no answer.

Just got a call and they guy told me that if i didnt answer his call then "Lashandra, your gonna have issues and that he wishes me luck when they find me." lol. Well I guess he needs to find who he's looking for cause he has the wrong number.

We are getting these phone calls also from this so called person , he use to call our home phone and make his threats, until I told him what to do with his worthless self, now he call my husbands cell phone and leaves his threats, there should be a way to find out who and where this bum is.., these kind of people are just bullies and cowards , they wouldn't open there mouth to a person face to face , but they get brave when they can hide behind a phone line , just hang up on them and block the the number,

I just got a phone call from the same so called person although they changed the first name to Lance Martin. Saying the same stuff I am reading from all of you. The funny part is I think it was the same person who called me saying I need to call this attorney Lance Martin. I told him I was reading reviews about this phone number and he HUNG UP on me. I tried to call back and was unable to get an answer. It said the number was UNAVALIABLE. WHAT A SCAM!!

i have been receiving calls from (814)348-2008 ,this  guy call me every 2 day for 2.3 weeks  he say  I need you all your retained out there any offer codes, to return the call. That issue. I kinda the extremely time sensitive, My name is Justin. --------

I have been receiving calls from this guy.  he threatens me with subpeanos and taking me to court.  when informed that i want to know what company he represents then he gets upset and starts yelling at me on the phone stating that i just dont care about this debt.  i have never dealt with anything like this and he can be intimidating.    after reading all these posts then i c that he is just a con artist. thank yall for posting this info.

I get a call from this guy every few days, I first got them about three months ago and they stopped for about two months. Now he's calling me several times a day at least three times a week. He claims that every time he calls he gets my voicemail, funny that every time he calls & I try to answer it goes straight to my voicemail. He tells me he needs to hear back from my attorneys and if he doesn't in some ridiculous amount of time, all he can wish me is good luck.... good luck my a** this guy is a moron.

caller, india accent, threatens of debt and police action.  Totally bogus.  Problem is that Attorney General won't do anything to stop this junk.

Caller was Daniel Stevens...threatened all kinds of calamity if I didn't "take heed."  This A-Hole has called me 3 times, but whats worse is he called my boss and left a voice mail.  

I guess there really isn't much that I can do about this?

got the same caller and same message i called him back, he said i have an outstanding loan of 527.50 that i would need to pay at least  300.00 today or deal with a 7000.00 court fee. last time i checked  dont have any payday loans. WATCH OUT!!!! They had my bank account info, DL, and the last digits to my social so i had to closed out my accounts and put a watch on all my stuff  Ugh!!! called the sheriff and placed a report, called credit bureau and of cours my banks. Do Yourself A Favor If You Get An Email Saying  "Your PreApproved For A Car Loan" or "Your pre Aprroved for a Payday Loan" dont click on it and dont put your info on there they just call and harrass you. They call your phone and  your work all hours of the day

just got a call from a "Justin Martin" with an almost impossible to understand accent. I let it go to my voice mail and he said that by not answering his very important call that I was deliberatly avoiding  paying my debt and unless I called him back in 15 minutes, the police would come to my work and arrest me! As I don't have any outstanding loans it's not gonna happen! The 814 number showed on my id but I'm to call him back at 631-982-3007. LMAO! Seriously?
