This number called men, but I was in class, so I didn't talk to them..

Showed as a missed call, no name. Call received 4/22/09.

I am Canadian.  When I saw "Pennsylvania" on the call i.d., I decided not to answer b/c I don't know anyone in that state.  Sure enough, when I searched the number on the web, some reports came up on 800notes, with people complaining that this was another telemarketer.

I always post the following info for fellow Canadians: I want to warn you that I didn't start getting calls like this until I put my number on the government's official Do Not Call list.  The way it works is that companies pay a fee and acquire the list, which they're supposed to enter into their systems as numbers to be avoided.  Instead, a lot of these stupid telemarketers posed as companies wanting to follow the rules and acquired the list, and instead of avoiding the numbers on the list, they use the list as a resource of numbers to call.
Lesson learned -- it wasn't broke, so I shouldn't have fixed it.  If I'd known how it really worked before I signed up, I never would have done it.

Got a call from this number about reducing credit card interest rates.
Caller hung up.  I do not have credit card interest.  How do I stop these calls???

Also got this call on a cell in Canada, also on the Do Not Call list.  Unfortunately, that list has actually allowed more spammers than before to access our numbers.  I have posted this elsewhere on this site, but I'll post it again here:  the way the Do Not Call list works in Canada is that outbound call centres are supposed to acquire the list from the government and then put it to use.  They are trusted not to call the numbers on the list.  The thing is, any company can get hold of that list, including spammers.  There is no, as far as I am aware, punishment for misusing the list as numbers to call rather than not to call.  I had never received a spam call until I put my number on that list, and now I get them a lot, and almost always from U.S. numbers.  That list sucks and is the opposite of effective; do not put your number on it!!  I should have known that if it wasn't broke (i.e. I never got spam calls), I shouldn't have fixed it. Big regret.

My 9 year old is getting these calls on her cell phone. The bi*** hung up on me when I asked if they were smart enough to take the number off their list after the first time I told them this. I'm tired of these low lives calling her phone and you can't even call back their number to bi*** more.
What pisses me off more is that she's on pay as you go here in Canada and I pay for this phone as an emergency thing for her.

I get this call at least once a week sometime in the morning.

Got a call in the morning- tired to pick up got disconneted. Redialed and found the automated message"the number you called is disconnected". Googled the number and found this spam reporting page. This caller needs to be blocked!!

These scumbag scammers keep on living of people's back!  Where are the legislative the people we selected to make law and the government?  Why aren't the gov doing anything at all?

got a call from this number. Did not pick it up. I called back to see who they were and got a phone not in service message. Pretty wierd. Realized after reading this post that it is spam.

I got one from this number, too. Didn't answer. Got one from a different number yesterday and that was about some credit card thing.

wtf is this, i got this call and picked up, it had very poor quality, so it dropped after 3 seconds. then i called back, it says it's disconnected...

something needs to be done to these junk calls, bring 'em to justice please. this is defnitely more annoying than junk emails.

Left a message about expiring insurance on my automobile. Knew immediately it was bogus, but called back the number within minutes...disconnected?
How can it be disconnected within minutes of them calling me from that same number?? Somebody find these dirtbags!

I keep getting calls from an automatic voice telling me that this is the 2nd notice that my factory warranty is about to expire on my car.  I can't get them to stop calling me. The attorney general should get involved with this harassing company.

i just  got one, said about lowering my credit cards blah blah blah, thing is i have no credit cards.  the girls name that they  use is michelle, like that is a real person.  must be someone who doesnt realize that i am on the do not call list.

jerks. i got a call from this number. they said they can lower my intrest rate on my credit card. im in canada. this was from pensyvania. i have no credit card. i told the lady to f off, and she said, now you can just get the phone call 30 times more because your being rude. this is crap. my cell phone is for business purposes only. i tried to phone back, said it was dissconnected, i want to talk to the a hole in charge of this spam.

Also got a call from this number. I would never answer an unknown long-distance call. Sometimes my boyfriend gets calls from California and other states, though we live in Canada. ANNOYING

I just got a call from this number on my cell phone. I missed the fortunately or I would have been stung with a needless long distance charge
