txt msg from 3560 that says From 1-8157682842@inbox.com: "You have a new message. Call now free:1 815 768 2842 to hear it."  Some kind of scam?  Anybody know what this is?

It's a once-a-day chance to call 815-768-2842 to hear some message that I'm sure doesn't exist.
Made my day.

I'm going to assume it's another scam to get one of my credit card numbers.  I dialed from my home number and received a disconnect notice.  Hopefully, this group got shut down already.  Of course, they'll have a new number by tomorrow.

I received the same call from 1 815 768 2842.  Fortunately I googled it before calling and saw all of the posts....delete!  Can't T-Mobile block this #?

Since you have incurred charges as a result of calling this # you can file a formal complaint and suit against the owner of the # if you have not already done so.  There are hundreds of messages online about this being fraud.  Contact your local police and ask them what to do or ask a lawyer how to go about it.  Sorry you fell victim.  I received the same text but googled the # before doing anything. Thanks to your message I deleted the text.  Thank you for preventing me from making the same honest mistake.

I posted a response earlier about a text message "You have a new T-online message. Call now toll free 1-815-768-2842 to hear it" I found the information on the phone to include the city and state plus their carrier at this site: http://www.freecellphonetracer.com/FCPT.aspx?_act=Results&_pho=815-768-2842
Very easy to find stuff if you look hard enough. By the way this number has now been disconnected. I have already spoken to T-Mobile and they wrote a voice ticket up to address this issue.

Hm new interesting info:
I've tried calling this exact number back from my work # as well as my cell again, and have received a "disconnected or no longer in service" message.

The messages were distinctly different: From work# I received a standard Qwest "not in service" message, whereas via the Tmo phone, it was in the Tmo's system voice.

Did this number insta-spam people then get shut down?

The questions are now building...

Phishing call!

When called back, it seems to be some sort of interactive voice response system stating "Your account has been accessed a number of times by someone in India. We are verifying your records to make sure they are ok. Please enter your:
Credit card # (to which I entered 1234-1234-1234-1234)
Pin # (9876)
CVV2 # (000)
"Thank you, we will have a supervisor call you back within 5 business days".

HAH.

WTF is with T-Mobile customers getting this massive call today?  The last 10 or so have been within the last 2 hours!
As for the Net-10 dude:  Net-10 and Tracfone (Net-10's parent) both utilize bulk minutes from T-Mobile for some of their subscribers.

It looks like someone got their hands on a list of #s owned by Tmobile and started spamming them...

I just feel happy to have given them a response with totally useless info to them.  Pollute their list with bogus numbers I say.

18157682842@inbox.com//  You have a new T-online message.  Call now toll free: 1 815 768 2842 to hear it.  Looks like I got that same message as the rest of you.  I tried to call from a land line and it says the number has been disconnected or is no longer in service.  Sounds like a scam of some kind.  DELETE!

Event Reminder
Got a phone call about 10 minutes ago from the same number referenced above that made all the other calls. The message made no mention of it claiming to be from t-mobile. Received the message on a TracFone prepaid phone. It said that there was a message for me to call the number mentioned by everyone in this thread. Needless to say I ignored the message and deleted it. The text message said it was "From: 3519". Ignore and delete it, bring it to the attention of your local law enforcement it you are so inclined, JUST DON'T CALL THE NUMBER BACK OR GIVE THEM ANY PERSONAL OR FINANCIAL IDENTIFICATION INFORMATION WHATSOEVER!!!

Worrisome indeed. I mean, if Obabma's records could be illegally accessed, who knows who might be looking through my calls. And it doesn't seem like T-mobile much cares about the aparrent security issue...

I got the same message.  Sounds like it's specifically t-mobile phones right?  So # 1: Shouldn't t-mobile know about this?  #2: Why aren't they doing anything about it?  And #3: How did the sender get our t-mobile #'s?  Did t-mobile get hacked or something?  Or are they selling our #'s?  Obviously I didn't call.
