This number called me. They refused to tell me who they were and had all my personal information. I realized it was shady and refused to verify anything. I have no reason for a collection agency to call me. I called my local police and reported the number.

You obviously work w/ this group because they operate in an illegal manner and are currently being investigated by the Illinois Attorney General's Office.

Called claiming they are from collection agency for a hospital bill I never had.  When i further question, they demand my credit card info.  I refused and hung up.  They are rude, have thick accents so it's hard to understand and they call all hours.  Once they called at 5am central time and 11pm.  Not legit to me.

call after 10pm and can't understand them

A collection Agency picking up the Tab for Dell Financial.  Very shady - if you decide to talk with them - do yourself a legally sound favor - and HONESTLY record the phone conversation.  if i had recorded it - i would have a serious lawsuit against them - they broke 3 laws on collection practices in less than 10 minutes.  And not little laws either, big ones.

Lady asked if Will(?) was there. After I informed her she had the wrong number, she asked what number this was. I replied with "what number di you dial?" She said it was dialed by a machine and apparently it needs to be removed. So, again she asked what number this was. When I explained that she didn't need to know the number in order to remove it, she asked a final time. I told her I wouldn't tell her...then she hung up. "Indian" voice.

They called and I answered. A recording said "Please hold for the next available agent." I don't think so! You called me! I hold for no one if you call me and are not ready to speak when I answer.

this phone number has  called over one hundred times, and I've heard they are a scam!!it wakes me up night and day, I am recovering from cancer, and would like help getting it to stop.Thank you in advance.

Now that I read this I realize they did this to me a while back to and I did the same thing you did...refused to verify information until they told me who they were - they also hung up on me.  I now know that the attempt to collect a debt is legit, even though I am disputing it with the hospital.

I too have been getting these calls that leave a voice mail simply stating that I need to call them and if I  keep listening I am verifying that I am the person they are looking for but they give you no information as to who they are, where they are from or the nature of their call.  Today I answered the incoming call and got put into an automated loop trying to get me to hold until someone was available to speak to me.  I finally hung up.  I called the number back and refused to put the last 4 of my social in and finally got a rep that I had to fight with to tell me who he worked for and for whom they were trying to collect a debt on behalf of.  It was a hospital I was treated at 4 years ago that should have been part of an accident claim paid for by another parties insurance but back when I finalized the claim I was told I didn't owe them anything.  I am now filing a dispute letter.  Their lack of customer service and tactics is disturbing.

I said you are going to have to identify yourself before I give out any personal information....they then said they were going to end the call...I said don't hang up , identify yourself and then they hung up. SCAMMERS BE CAREFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  IF YOU READ A POSITIVE REVIEW ON THIS SITE...THEY PROBABLY POSTED IT!!!!!!!!!!

I just want to say that this is a valid company and has been helpful in my getting my medical debt paid. As long as you work out a payment plan and stick with it they are fine to work with. For those of you claiming you have no bad debt need to do some research, because if that is the case and this company is calling it is most likely also showing on your credit report. I dislike debt collectors as much as anyone but have dealt with this company due to many medical bills that we were unable to pay in a timely manner and they have even helped me settle an acount with one provider to save me money.
Please note that as well, I'm almost positive all that CCB handles is medical.

Called 5 times today. I got a phone number 1-888-400-6028 and the name of Amber. The caller id shows 815-928-5389. Wanted my phone number and social security number.

The same people are calling me for the past year....  saying I owe I owe, I KNOW I don't owe anyone nothing!!!     there is No real people to talk to  and this call came on a Sunday  Morning and got me out of bed..

They abuse the fair debt collecting act, and continue to call you.....even after you request that they stop calling.  Both by mail, and verbally.

Someone needs to shut this abusive collector down.  They violate the law, as well as their collecting agency rights.

They are still calling even after I told them the person they are asking for does not live here.  They said they would remove my phone number and I would not get any more calls....and I didn't for a while... now they seem to know just when I have drifted off to sleep and they call!!  How do you make them stop...the phone company was no help at all.  What do the police offer?

These idiots continue to call at all times of the day and night.  Will not leave messages.

My caller ID read 815-928-5384.  They have called me several times and want to talk with (my granddaughter's name).  They do not identify themselves but ask for my account # or the last 4 digits of my social sec. #....which I wouldn't give them of course.  I tried looking up the number on reverse look up and only found that it was a land line in Kankakee.  Thanks to the other writer who got a name.  Tomorrow I, too, will call the phone company and the police.

What a crock!!! Thankfully caller ID keeps me from answering.

call came in from 815-928-5384. She asked for my name and stated hers was "Mary" she then stated my address and asked for me to confirm. I asked what company she was from and "Mary" stated that she would tell me AFTER I verified my address - I hung up on her.

Call from 815-928-5384, speaker asked for a person who is living in the house for "a personal business matter", gave the name of "Janet" at 800-556-4608 as a call-back.

They have a new number.  Previously IDed was 815 928 5384.  They also use 815 928 5386.

I keep getting a call every day, even on the weekends and sometimes as late as 8 or 9 pm.  It is a recorded message and there is no way to talk to a real person to see who is calling.  I have tried everything and still they call. I have no idea who it is because they never leave a name of a person or a name of a company.  I would love to find out who is doing this so I can report them to the BBB.  I am tired of the hassles.

Received call from 815-928-5384.  They've been calling me for about 6 months non stop and have called on a Sunday.  I'm glad to see that I should not have answered the call as I have always assumed there was something unseedy about this, especially if they are collectors, calling on a Sunday.

They called me, left a detailed voicemail on my privatephone.com phone number, stating that "by continueing to listen you are confirming your who we're looking for" yea whatever lady, that doesn't protect you from leaving these personal information messages. Since I can record those messages and burn them to CD I'm taking them to court
