got a call today, but couldn't get to the phone in time.  they didn't leave a message.

It is a trunk line used for outgoing calls most likely.  Some trunk lines will accept calls, most will not, what with computer generated calling for telemarketing companys.  If you cannot identify the company from the phone number calling you, you need to ansewr the phone and tell them to remove you from their call list.  Also, put your number on the do not call registry.  If they keep calling you after you do both of those things you can initiate legal action.

Just got a call from 816-389-2508.  I did a back check into the national phone area code & exchange database and there is currently no 389 exchange in the 816 area code.  In other words, the number is bogus and doesn't exist.  It may be programmed in by the callers to appear on caller ID, which is not hard to do, but it is a fake.

Same thing, it calls and hangs up when we answer. Added it to our blocked #s list.

I got a call from this same number. Someone from "Aflac Insurance" wanted to set up an appointment for a presentation. They called my business cell phone.  When I tried to call back and verify I got the fast beeping tone also.  No idea who it really is.

CALL AND ASKED TO SPEAK WITH THE CEO OF BENEFITS

They called, I answered, they hung up.  I called back and it said the number could not be completed as dialed.

Shows as "telephone management" on caller id.  They have been calling several times a week.  I finally answered and it was a marketing calls for Aflac Employee Benefits.  They asked for the person making business decisions.  I asked to be taken off of their list.

This number has called my office phone several times in the past 2 weeks and the caller has not left any messages on voice mail.  I never pick it up since it says telephone management on the caller id.  I once answered a call from a similar number and it was one of those scams where they want your printer information, etc.  So I am thinking if you answer calls from this number it will be something similar.

This number has called my cell phone daily from 2-5 times in a row for roughly the last 10 days to 2 weeks, and the caller has not left any messages on my voice mail either. The calls are usually around 10:00-11:00 AM Eastern time.

Same exact thing is happening to me?

I did not recognize the number so I did not pick it up and I tried calling it back and got a fast busy tone.

I'm having the same issues as everyone else here.  What the heck is going on?!  Some sort of high tech scam?

This number has called my office and my cell 7 times in the past 4 weeks.  If you answer they hang up.  If you let it roll to voice mail, they hange up.  When you call them back, the phine company message is that this is not a working phone number.  WhitePages.com says it is a land line in Kansas City, MO

Someone called from this number and hung up after I answered.

This # called my cell phone, I don't know how they got my #, I didn't answer it because I didn't recognize the #, they did not leave a message & when I tried to call it back all I got was a busy signal.

I got a call from # 816-389-2508 @ 10:24 am on Sept 24, 2007 on my cell, I did not answer it as I did not recognize the # they left no message, so I called them back, & I too only got a busy signal

Received a call from this number at 10am Pacific Time on Monday, 9/17/08.  I didn't recognize the number as one of my contacts and no message was left.  I called the number back and all I got was a fast busy signal that is similar to one that is "out of order" without getting the recording that says the same.
