RECEIVED CALL ON 06/15/07 FROM STAR PARTNERS BUT DID NOT ANSWER THE PHONE.

well im glad im not the only one who gets this number on my caller id. But i did call them and dialed the number to get me off their list,a  few days later the same # call and its for something else. AHHH its annoying.

Who are these people and what kind of credit card are they  talking about?
Are this some kind of money sceem? That they call people outside theyr country and rip the people of for theyr money of theyr phone bill?

I will call mye phone service to blokk them from calling me.

This number has called 4 times today.....nobody says anything when I answer.

Called about 100 times a week, not saying a word.

I called this number after I saw it on my caller id. Says it is the Illinois do not call registry.  I don't think so.  I think they are trying to get your number.

caller has called 5 times this week. does not say anything. after about 90 sec. they hang up.

Phone rang...2x I looked at caller ID and it read 816-389-2631. I picked up receiver and caller immediately hung up.

Call the number back from the phone you want to block and register your number with the National No-Call list. It DOES work and this IS a legitimate procedure.

Oh, about Earthlink...companies that already have a business relationship with you are exempt from the no-call idea in general. So when you cancelled your service, they used the Federal Trade Commissions procedure (what you will go through if you call that number back) for removing you as a subscriber...thus removing your number from any marketing or cold-call campaign lists generated by that company in the future...in this case, Earthlink.

Getting calls from #(816) 389-2631 when i answer it they just hang up

This is a contracted dialer of phone numbers for telemarketing purposes. Call the number: 816-389-2631 and register your number with the National No-Call List. Your State's list is different and though they are SUPPOSED to provide that info, this company call always fall back on the 'we didn't get that list' excuse. It may take a few days, but the calls WILL stop. Pain in the butt, isn't it?
If you want to really be a nuisance, I simply pressed 1 to reach a sales person and obviously got a small company. I asked where they got my number, they told me a 'dialing service' and I informed them of the no-call list and told them not to bother me again. Trust me...businesses will begin looking closer at contracted dialing services when THEY have to hear complaints, especially ones with legal implications.

Someone from this number left message about lower my interest rate on one of my credit cards; however, they didn't say which credit it was. Watch out!
