This person is a SCAMMER on Zorpia. They tried to sucker me too. The SCAMMERS on Zorpia and all the social dating sites are becoming more sophisticated. Once they get your phone number, look out! Always demand using skype to skype, yahoo or google. Learn how to read and understand how to check out e-mail headers too. (E-mail headers can be faked, but it doesn't appear that most SCAMMERS know how to do it or bother to waste the time doing it.)

Notice the phone number.  Don't know who this is, didn't call, but glad to find out you guys have said here.

When I answer there is no one there. When i don't answer & let my machine pick up they play music for the entire message . Who is this & why are they calling me?? If it is important why not talk to me when I answer OR leave a message when the machine answers???

I am getting multiple calls from this number also and they hang up when I answer.

This number calls 4 times a day... when answered they say nothing.. when I don't answer that don't leave a message...

I also received many calls every day (each time I picked up all I got was music). I called 816-659-1154 and talked to a life person - they asked for the phone number I received the calls on and removed the number from their list.
Let's see if this worked.

Yes, CBE group is a debt collector. I know there is a location here in my state (Iowa) and they have been calling me daily at odd hours.

I just got a call from this number & they played music But when I was able to get to the phone to answer they hung up . And on friday they called I wasnt home but when my machine picked up there a VERY LOUD beeping coming from it.

They asked, "Do you have funds available to pay?"  I asked, "what for?"   They said, "Are you William Collom?"  I said "No, I speak for him can you give the information."  They said, "No", we ended conversation.

These people call 4-5 times a day.

I have gotten 5 calls from this number over the past 24 hours but have not answered it...with they would stop...

A woman called claiming to be from CBE Group doing a collection for Allen Hospital trying to collect on a bill that my insurance company and I have no record of. Sounds like fraud. I also didn't appreciate being called by an auto-dialer that put me on hold to wait for a real person.

I started getting calls from this number 11/29 and they continued every day.  After 2 weeks, I looked it up here.  I knew I had no unpaid debts, but I checked my credit report to be sure there were no red flags to indicate identity theft.  I then listed the number every day on the DoNotCall registry.  Individual complaints aren't acted on, but there is a threshold at which point an investigation is started, so I decided to help meet that threshold.  Even if they were legitimate debt collectors, I thought there might be a chance the Feds might contact them.  After three days, I stopped getting calls from this number, but started getting daily calls from another number.  At this time I learned about the TCPA act, which is strictly for cell phone abuse.  I answered, and got an individual who notified me they were trying to contact someone I'd never heard of who owed a debt.  I told her I did not know them, and that they were calling my cell phone and I intended to prosecute them under TCPA if they do not stop.  She said they would remove my number - and apparently they did, as I've gone a week without a call.

I've been getting calla from this number 2-4 twenty /day. If you answer or sometimes if your voicailmal gets the, they waste as muck of your time as possible. They autos dial even has music playing until the live. Person gets around to it. I read a few of the posts above when I figured it was a scam to wase peoples cell minutes. I figure the different cell companies paay them. I know these auto dialers can call over 10,000 people /dy 2-3

CBE has called me 5 times today, i have previously spoke to them about the debt they say I owe... Get this whole foods called 911 cause I needed a juice, my blood sugar was low, i am for some reason responsible for the ambulance being called out when I told them I just needed juice! So I have a $140 bill I am certaintly not paying. And i told the lady this when she called last week, someone please tell me why she keeps calling!!!!

They have been calling for 2 days now.  My message machine picks up, and the call disconnects.  Have no idea why they are calling (no credit cards; no car payment; mortgage is paid off).

The Fair Debt Collection Act states that a collector CANNOT CALL BEFORE 8:00am YOUR TIME or AFTER 9:00pm YOUR TIME. You need to report this to the FTC (Fair Trade Commission). Good luck!

Or you could be a smart @$$ and save them to your phone as "DO NOT ANSWER" & hang up on them every time they call...that oughta get pretty annoying for them!

Started getting calls from this today.  As I didn't recognize it I didn't answer and instead did the search that led me here.  Just added it as (yet another) number to my Spamcall entry in my phonebook; that contact is set as "treat as spam" in my Google Voice contacts list so no more calls from this spammer.

They?ve called me twice already and each time they wanted personal information before they would say who they were, or what they wanted, I asked them not to call again but we know that?s not going to happen, the next time I will be ready for them.
In the mean time I just thought I would try something, I called them and pretended to be an attorney and asked them for the information for their legal department  one person gave me a phone number  but didn?t want to give me a name of the legal department so I asked to speak to his supervisor, after a short time a person who called himself  Mr. Danny Howard picked up the phone and proceed  to asked which legal department I wanted because there are deferent ones, he then gave me the one for the general legal department which it ?Becker Law Firm?  Number is 319-234-1766 just in case anyone wants it!!!  :)

I was getting calls on my Android smartphone from these irritating but feckless clowns, so I installed a free call-blocker app with a blacklist feature, blocked all the numbers in my call history that I associated with CBE, and they gave up wasting money calling a phone that would not answer amd not even bother me as it dealt with those pukes.

Now they are calling on the land line phone of an elderly relative I've been helping out.  I guess I'll use a computer between the telco demarc point and the phone system to intercept all calls from known CBE phone numbers and hang up on them immediately.

The nice thing about that, besides that there isn't a damned thing CBE can do about it, is that it also allows one to block political calls the the Do Not Calls list doesn't even apply to -- not that the FTC actually, seriously  goes after telemarketers who break the law repeatedly and often buy phone numbers in serious bulk just as telcos and large corporations, universities, and other big organizations do.

The best thing about rigging up an older computer as a Call Blocker with blacklist (and/or whitelist) features, is that it would be trivial to store all of the numbers that are routinely the source of unwanted calls according to the various forums such as this on the Internet and block maybe 99% of such annoying calls proactively.  

One could then whitelist the phone numbers of any friends, family or businesses/organizations one wants to be able to contact you by phone and then also use some simple regex-based code to block incoming calls from all ERCs as described in  the NANP -- those speciall 700, 800 and 900 numbers  numbers that most people would chose to block by default., plus any other area code one doesn't want to hear from, and even just a few central offices within an area code, or subscriber numbers withing a certain range.  It is trivial to implement a custom call screener on a very cheap computer build in the first years of this century to block a sizable chunk of the 999,999,999 possible domestic phone numbers in the U.S. (the actual set of valid phone numbers is somewhat smaller).

Even without using much data compression or regex to make the code and database smaller, you're looking at less than a billion 32-bit integers -- 4 bytes is enough to hold a U.S. phone number., so we're looking at somewhere on the order of 4GB of storeage for the database -- not hard for PCs made in this century to deal with, albeit not quickly on most home computers.

I suspect that by 2020, anyone who dislikes unwanted calls as much as I do will be able to block or otherwise deal with the annoying crap using well under $100 worth of personal computing and end-user phone technology.

By the time IPv6 is widely used in most of the U.S., the average person will almost certainly be able to have extremely good call blocking capability on their cellular and landline phones for less than what dinner for a family of four will cost at MickyD's. :-)

They call 3 times a day, but won't answer when I pick it up, never leave a message. I don't owe no one so it is not a bill collector.
