John from MO must be pretty busy.  He send me a text tonight within an hour of posting my ad on bismanonline.  Same script.  I don't think I will make a point of calling him though.

Same thing just happened to me. John from MO. For Sale Right? He texted me asking for paypal info. I told him I would call him for details. He said sure but had to be in the evening cause he was at work. Well tried calling and he answered but he acted like he couldnt here me and just kept saying hello. Glad I looked on here..

Same phone number called me and it was a scam for sure.  I have investigated these scams for years and have learned than many of the scams are overseas based groups.

The same exact thing happened to us!  I'm so glad I went online and checked it out!  I think I will contact bisman online to let them know what is happening! thank you so much to those of you who posted or I wouldn't have known any better!!!

I had posted and ad for my vehicle on bismanonline. I got a text yesterday saying the same thing that thhis is randy from MO and i went thourgh your add and wants your bottum asking price and then he wanted to make sure. that it was in good shape so i told him and he wanted it and said he needed paypal and he would have the shipping tken care of. good thing i don't have a paypal account!

He did the same thing to me. I posted on Nextech Classifieds and he called then texted me wanting PayPal info. This dude needs to get a life!

I just got the same routine on my truck through KSL.com 4/9/13. A "John from MO" couldn't see it since he was working.....

Good thing I checked this number on here before I went further. I posted an ad on ksl.com today 5/4/13 and about 20 minutes later I received a text from this number asking about my vehicle, he said he is ok with the condition of the car and wanted to pay through paypal, so we thought it was legit, well then he sent me a text back saying the shipping company wanted payment through western union and that he could not get to one asking if we would go pay it, I said sure when the money is in my account I would go pay it, he then told me that once the payment had been made he would begin payment to us right away. I thought that sounded funny so I got on here, low and behold it is a scam. That was a close one.

He did the exact same thing to me on KSL.com on 4/18/13. Definately a scam.

I got the same thing today April 19th,2012 I posted and ad on KSL.com got a reply from Sten from MO but said same thing as in other posts couldn't inspect and stuff I thought it sounded too good to be true. Good thing I checked online before I sent info

Definitely a scam. I also received a few texts from this person, one text saying "For sale right... 1990 Ford F-350 $2200" and then when I texted back that it is still for sale a second text that said "My name is Sten,am from MO,am ready to purchase if it's in good condition,but am not coming to inspect cause am kinda old fashion,no more power to run up and down,can you give me more detail about it".  This is the second set of texts like this, the first being received on 2-17-2013 from 443-379-4655 and saying MD instead of MO, but just the same otherwise.  I guess "Sten" forgot he sent it to me already.

Yep - posted something online and it texted me immediately.  I suspect a robo-caller.
