Got a call from 816-888-4649 and they said basically the same thing, they were from the EL Paso Electric company and a glitch in their system which caused the last payment not to be registered. The lady identified herself as Sarah. I asked for an account number and she gave me the wrong number. She hung up and I call back and a guy answered the number and he hung up.

A guy named Mr. Coleman called claming he's with PNM and saying we haven't paid our last bill and that our power will be turned off in 45 minutes. I called PNM to check our statements and they said all is fine and that lately they've been receiving calls from customers about scams.

Got a call from this number claiming to be Duke Energy and that they have had some changes in their system over the holidays that got messed up. They claimed that we have not paid our bill and that if I do not either do a paypall payment or a payment on a Visa or MasterCard Gift card they can pick up today my service would be cancelled. When I asked that he tell me my account number to my service he hung up.
