We were called by this number numerous times and they finally caught us home.
I thought it was a good cause-- "TX St Troopers Assoc"-- and said
I would send a contribution.
Their response was, "you promise to send a contribution". I said "Yes".
They mailed information and my husband cut them a check and mailed it.
In the past week they have called two times and we missed the calls.
Today, my husband answered and said I was not available, requesting
they talk to him.  They refused in an unpleasant voice.
I guess they did not like that the contribution was signed by my
husband.!!  We are sorry that the TX St Troopers Assoc supports such
tactics and harassing phone calls.

Just received a call from this number.  I am in the 940 area code.   Nobody on the other end of the line when I answsered it.

It appears to be related to 817-465-1717  as they both come up TX and leave no message and have the "thanks for calling the office".

We have now gotten 2 calls fron this number & when called back it says This is the Office and we are not in right now but the mailbox is full therefore you can not let anyone know to quit calling you.

They called me tonight and I couldn't get anything. Freaked me out. Tried calling back and all I got was " we are not in the office". Leave your name and number.... ha! Yeah right!

They called me on 3/21 and 3/22 on my private line while I was on vacation. Did not leave a message.  I work for a local government in the 940 area code.  I looked up the number and it appears to be from "Stichler Design Group, Inc. (architechs).  The address listed is 2201 N. Collins St. #295, Arlington, Texas, 76011.

Same here - just called and when I anwered sounded like a lost signal.  Caller ID said    "TX  817-274-3131"  This is the third time they have called and I'm getting pretty sick of it.

Call just came in, no one on the line when I answered.

This call came into my home, I ahve caller ID however there was no other identifying information as to who this caller is and when I call the number back I get a message tellinig me that this is not a valid number, so riddle me this one batman who placed this call and why?

IT CAME IN TX AND LEFT NO MESSAGE ON THE ANSWERING MACHINE AND IF YOU CALL BACK IT SAYS WERE NOT IN THE OFFICE.

Who was this that called me from this number

My father got a call from this number and his area code is 940.  I called the number and it just said "thanks for calling 'the office'."

This is solication for Texas State Troopers.
They do not pass on but about 10% of what they collect.
They are in it for them not the Texas Highway Patrol.
Highly questionable tactics and agency.
Hard sell
Either don't answer or hang up when they start their spiel.

Have gotten calls as far back as Feb. mostly at about 8:30pm and there is noone on the line and when you call them it does say "thanks for calling the office" What freaking office??? I'm damn tired of it. I want to know who it is and what the heck they want.

We have recieved around six or seven calls from this number in the last month, it rings twice we pick up and the line goes dead. We call back and it says: Hello and thank you for calling the office... blah blah blah this voice mailbox is full. We are tired of the calls, and will be trying to find out more about the caller. It would be my pleasure to call the originator of this call, and call often I will!

This number keeps calling me every few days but I do not answer it because I do not know who it is. 817 is a Texas number.

Can't recall if 817-274-3131 has called me more than once. They called May 8,2008 at about 4:18 pm. Judging by the 817 area code that should be Ft. Worth, Tx area. I live in Dallas. I decided to pickup and there was nothing but silence on the other end. Annoys me. Who or what is it. My caller ID only says TX. I am also on the National Do Not Call list. My number is also unlisted. Numbers must be computer generated. Hope someone can find out someday who they are and put an end to those annoying dead calls.

received two calls on my home phone ( which is unlisted) and the caller phone number was  817-274-3131. On my caller ID it shows "TX" and the phone number. Both calls came in after 5:00 pm. When I called on a different phone, this time a cell phone, I got a message that no one was in the office and for me to leave my name and phone number. This kind of a call should be ignored and then deleted.

817-274-3131 Got a call from here couldn't understand whoever it was. Reverse Lookup says it's Ortrub Jones in Arlengton Texas I live in 325 area in Texas.

I got this # no answer and caller id name just saidYx I am from the 325 are Tried to call it back from my cell(free long distance) it goes to a voice mail box saying that they are out off the office then it says that the box is full. How strange!

Extremely pushy request for donations for State Troopers.  Almost had to hang up on them.
