817 524 0908 is WaMu card services. the caller id for the L.A. area comes up as "Texas Call". when you pick it up, it goes to a machine telling you to hold the line.
It would be nice, since they're calling to tell you about actual account problems, if they took some time and changed their caller id to "WaMu" or said "this is WaMu" somewhere early on in the recording.

They call up 10 times a day, and of course it is a recording....but doesn't start until quite a while after you say hello.  I don't have the time to sit and wait on the phone for an actual person.  If they do have honest business, why can't they have a live person on the phone in the first place?  And they call WAY too often, bordering on harassing!

These people are becoming pests. They use different last four numbers but they are al the same company. You can enter them into your block list, but they just keep changing the last four numbers and they kkep calling. They are now Harrassing and I will be submitting a complaint to the BBB.

How do you block this on a cell phone?????

Received daily calls from the following numbers;  
817-524-0908, 817-524-0902, 817-524-0906, 817-524-0909, 817-524-0907, 817-524-0901. Blocking not effective. Any suggestions?

I have been getting calls from this witch since June of 2007. Day and night. I get a total of 19 differant caller id's all from wamu. We could not sleep. The phone would ring 4 to 6 times from 12am untill my 6:07am call. Then every 11 minutes per day. I homeschool and told her. She was preventing me from teaching. The calls increased to every 7 minutes apart. I changed my phone # 12 times, 11 were unlisted. She called on my cell phone and my minor's cell phone. I don't know how she got the #'s. My husband was sick and the increased stress hospitalized because of it. I told her and threatened to sue. I called the Fed. and State consumer affairs dept. I filed complaints. I filed complaints with the comptrollers office of banking, fed level. On 2-07-08 I received a call from her on a 1 day old unlisted #. She yelled and cursed at me. She said she knew where I lived and what my son looked like. She said she knew I called the comptroller and filled the other complaints and that she did not care. She said she was outside my house. "Come out and see and don't leave your son inside alone".  
I do not have an account with wamu, never did. NEVER WILL. Some one who did called from my house once about a late payment, the day before my calls started.

It is AmeriCredit Corp / General Motors Financial Company, Inc. It is their collection department.

Called and did not leave message.  Googled the number and got this site--glad I did so I don't answer in future.

I finally got through to a live person by the name of Nigel.  He was actually pleasant, however not very helpful.  He wanted my name to remove me from his records.  I wouldn't give it to him.  he asked for my phone number.  I gave that to him and said that his business needed to stop calling that I did not have an account with them.  He said that he still needed my name, I again refused and said that he had the number and that was all that was necessary to stop the calls.  He wanted to put me on hold for 2 minutes to clear my number.  I told him it wasn't necessary that he could simply stop calling me.  I hung up on him.

Repeated daily phone calls from 817-524-0908, showing up as a TEXAS call.  They are calling business and I am getting very disgusted with seeing these daily missed calls.  The calls at all hours of the day and night.  
When I tried calling the # it said it was Washington Mutual Card Services and asked for the last 4 digits of my account #.  No clue who they are! I tried getting an operator, but nothing happened. How annoying!

Recieved numerous calls from this number. Only shows "TEXAS"...very decieving...If it's WAMU the caller ID SHOULD say so.

These people keep calling me on a restricted and blocked number. I have no bills to pay and I owe no money to anyone and don't belog to any clubs. STOP CALLING ME. You are running up my minutes.

They called my house several times, and because I was not in the country, my brother answered, and asked them who they were and if they can leave a message, but not, they hang up. Finally I got a call on my cellphone but because I was out of the country I did not get a caller id, but was WamuCard, I will call to complain and close my accounts with them, thats the worst banking services I got.

I have been getting calls from this number for the last week so I decided to call and screw with them a little. I was prompted for a 16 digit account/card number several times from an automated voice, don't enter anything. Within 90 seconds you will be automatically transferred to the collections department. They will ask you how they can help you. At this point just sound professionally annoyed. Tell them you have been receiving calls from this number and you want them to stop immediately. At some point they should ask you for your phone number and maybe the state you are in. Give it to them so they can file an escalation to take your number out of their system. If they ask for anything else DENY THEM THAT INFO such as: first or last name, city, town, address, other contact numbers, and so on. Basically don't tell them anything but the phone number you want them to stop calling and the state you are in, if they ask. The key is to sound pretty annoyed and kind of force this upon them. This worked for me; I hope it works for you.

Ya it is WaMu. They called me too. I know I was behind so I agreed to set up a payment with them. They neglected to tell me that it was a fee of $9.95 to do it. I don't answer the phone either. If you write them a letter and tell them to leave you alone, by law they have to or you can sue the pants off them. Go for it.

I just called this number and I got a realllly strange message...sounds like a crackhead!

I got a call from this number,817-524-0907, on my office phone. when I called it back they asked for my 16 digit credit card # and My ss #. when i didnt give it I got a live person who proceded to ask for my name and #'s again. I told her I didn't have an account with wamu and she kept asking for my info anyway. Is this a scam?

They keep calling any time of day and night and it is getting very annoying! There is never anyone on the other end and they never leave a message! I actually stopped answering the phone when I see a Texas number come up on the ID Caller. There is a total of 19 phone numbers that keep on calling me from Texas. I want these people punished and or prosecuted or both to the fullest degree! They are harassing us each and every day of our lives and it MUST STOP!!
