Yes, disguised as telemarketers, surveys or whatever! Debt collectors do not follow all state and federal rules, regulations, and laws designed for consumer protection. "Offices of Interstate" may refer to this company and their BBB report. This is a magazine scam. I've been getting calls from them at least 1-3x a month, but never picked up the phone. One day I did pick up, and the lady on the other end said I owed $400 in collections. What?? If I owed someone money, I'm pretty sure I would know about it. I check my credit report every yr, and it never stated any money owed to a magazine company. She then proceeded to say if I paid over the phone right now, she would knock off $200. I asked what company is this? And she never told me, except that it's a collection agency. I said it must be identity theft and asked what the address on file was. She stated that she can't tell me, but if I told her my address, she could verify it. Sounds fishy to me. I told her to never call again and hung up.

When I called the number back to find out who it was all the would say is have such and such call back at her earliest conf. and ask for a Mr. CLAMENCE.

called my home phone and when I answered no one spoke...just silence. I have caller ID and will not answer this caller again.
BTW the caller ID only identified the caller as Arlington Texas.

Today I received a call from this number. When I answered the phone no one answered. I have caller ID and will not answer this caller again. From earlier posts.. I have read that this might be some magazine SCAM. I never ordered any magazine from anyone so I cannot confirm the magazine scam posts.

FOR EVERYONE HAVING THIS PROBLEM - I've been receiving calls every morning for the past two weeks since I received my new California number. I called back, received the same response as most people. Then I asked the company name, "The offices of Interstate" is all they were able to tell me. Asked to speak to a manager, after explaining everything everyone on the forum has been saying, "You call at five A.M. everyday, I'm tired of this. When I answer, your person hangs up after five or six seconds." Reply, "We can't hang up after six seconds, sir." "Let me speak to your manager, please." After which I spoke with Aaron, who said he was the manager. Aaron apologized for the inconvenience, "Please add my to the list, and make a note or something to never call this number again."

If I do receive another call, I'll just block the number.

I get a call from this number about four times a day everyday. Early in the morning and sometimes really late in the evening I dont know who they are  but when you call back the phone doesn't ring someone just answers hello.and you hear alot of other pple on phones in the background.

I've received a call around 8 am everyday for about 2 weeks now. No messages. I'll give them credit for persistence but they really need to find another target.

This is an attempt from a collection company associated with a magazine subcription company that gets your information then starts sending numourous magazines that you can't cancel then tries to bully you into paying outragous amounts

Called the number back. It's a company in Texas called interstate. They wouldn't give any information as to what the company does or deals with. They said since we already have your number just give it to us and we can tell you why we're calling

CALLS SEVERAL TIMES A DAY AND LEAVES NO MESSAGE.

Appears to be a number spoof. Someone is using this # to show up on caller ID with alternate intentions. (Could be, anyone looking for answers about you or anyone close to you!) too many BS calls! Don't be naive!!!

Calls my cell phone and hangs up if I answer.

Call everyday but Saturday and Sunday at the same time each morning and never leave a message. I am getting tired of this.

Early morning calls for the past few days

This number called me claiming to be a part of a collections agency with Southern Magazine Promotions, claiming I owed nearly $400 in past due fees.  Now I did get suckered into the magazine scam years ago, but I have made regular payments (as evidenced by automatic payments taken out of my account each month). This was the umpteenth time I've dealt with someone calling from a different number (all of which I have blocked using Mr. Number or Sprint) telling them the exact same thing that I'm tired of being harassed and I have made my payments. This time the caller began to get belligerent with me asking me why I haven't called the magazine company to straighten the matter out since my account was sent to them. I asked her why THEY couldn't do it since I told them over and over they I've made my payments. I hung up and blocked this number as well.  I'm even more aware that it is a scam after reading other posts.

They call about 3 to 5 times a day. I am on do not call registry. They leave static message and fill my voicemail. They also will not disclose who they are.

Called the number back, the person who answered refused to identify themselves, told them to take my number off whatever list they were using if they wouldn't identify who they were. Look the number up and found it registered to a company in Arlington, TX. I live in California, and have never done business with anyone in TX. I'm sick of them calling, if they call again I will file a suit for harassment, and start a petition to have the number disconnected.

received a call from this number. I am on the Indiana no-call list. From the posts I've read it's either some telemarketer or another scam.

From what I could find out about this number is that it is from a OJP Locksmith,2101 E. Lamar Blvd.Arlington Texas,I have never done any business with this company, but still get several calls a week from them.

Don't know who's calling me from this number but would like them to stop, if you can't leave a message don't call me.

They only want to call early in the morning while I'm still in bed! Sick of it!

Same as Genjo.  Receive calls from this number at least 3 times a day all with nothing voice mails.  Over it.

this number calls me at least 3x a day, it's getting really annoying. They leave a blank static voice mail which fills up my voicemail msgs. Not cool at all!
