You may want to register your number at this website. It is the national do not call registry.
After you are registered you can file a suit against the company the continues to call. I am not familiar with that proceedure, but I have heard of people being rewarded $ 800 from the offending company for continuing to call.

I called them back and talked to a customer representative named Clara. I found out this number is a sales office and that they are trying to sell their warranty contracts to customers who have purchased something from a company that offers Warrentech extended warranties.
BE ADVISED - this company or at least the guy who called me may be using deceptive telemarketng practices. He did not state that he was calling to offer an extended warranty; he clearly stated he was calling because I had requested support or help from them. I left a detailed voice mail with a supervisor and warned that any further calls would be reported as deceptive or fraudulant calls.

Same except I talked to some guy claiming that I had requested a call for a problem with a Panasonic "DVD recorder" which is inaccurate information for the device I purchased. Further, I did not buy an extended warranty from the retailer in the 1st place. So....I abruptly told the guy he had inaccurate info or was mistaken, that my player works just fine. He acted genuinely puzzled and seemed insistent that I had requested some form of support.
Could be due to their being acquired by another insurance co in Feb 07 and wanting to sort out their records. But it still doesn't explain why I got called in the 1st place since I do not have one of their warranties.
Pretty fishy...

Warrantech is the company that provides warranty services for many products and appliances. For instance, if you purchase an extended warranty on a personal computer, it is often administered through Warrantech. The telephone number, 817-786-1074, is based in Euless, Texas [between Dallas and Fort Worth]. I bought a warranty on a PC a few years ago, but have since sold the PC, so I don't know why they called me. As with the rest of you, they left no message on my voice mail. But now, at least you know who they are.

Warrentech Corp is calling my house with no voice mail. I missed 4 calls yesterday. Can anyone share what is the best way to opt-out of these calls?
