Omg. I listed my car on kijiji too. I have a women named Desiree Harp from Palms California emailing me. She says she's a top chef and buying this car for her dad!!! She's offering me 700.00 extra to boot!! What's going on. Why have so many people complained and nothing is done. Thanks for the heads up everyone. Now, how do I get rid of her. Can she or has she, hacked into my personal information? This is awful!!

OMG I got the same email from Chef Desiree Harp to buy a truck for a retiring father in Prince Edward Island. Glad I did a bit more research and found this.  Email derireeharp@torontomail.com, also got a text from 702-744-2458.

Unbelievable!!! First time trying to sell a van on Kijiji and right away this low life contacts me. Same story as a lot of you guys. Unfortunately I spent a week going back and forth with this bi*** wasting my time. Offered me $700 more. Too good to be true. Many e-mails back and forth. Even sent her video and extra pics to show her I was on the up and up since I'm low balling the price on the van to sell fast. Just to prove to her I'm not A scam. She almost and me convinced. No way was I giving up anything without cash in hand. She use Sammantha Page chef in L.A. Buying for her dad. Thank God my wife found this site. When I told her we knew who she was she sent a vile e- mail calling us low life's. Imagine That!

Yup, just put up an ad for a car and received a text from that number. Glad I googled it!

This Bi*** called Marrisa is still at it. She started off by using the email moremars012@yahoo.com and it all checked out on the google search. Once the scam started she switched to moremars014@yahoo.com. Paid $600 more using Pay Pal and wants a money draft for that amount before the origional amount can be released. HA HA HA

I email the sucker and basically directed him to this page...just to let him know I knew he was not legit.  This was the response.

I admit your post already explained much with regards to the conditions & i think it worth more from what i saw via the post as much as setting up a time and test driving will be the best but that's impossible right now, i hope you will understand.  

It's my first time to buy a vehicle online ,so please your HONESTY is very paramount to me, trust is KEY ,am assuming that you must have had some other buyer's interested in buying the vehicle from you due to the high views on Kijiji & i think the best way to outbid all of them is by offering you an additional sum of 700CAD to your asking price I'm not sure if that's a good thing to do but I'm willing to do it.      

Just to let you know,I'm buying it for my retiring dad.,as a be-elated surprise gift.  

But to start with i won't be available to eventuate the inspection my self due to my international chef training transfer,please eat more food...LOL,a trucking company will contact you on where & when the pick-up will take place after i have completed the payment, could you please tell me more about the present condition + tires (road worthy),Kilometers is confirmed from the adds, others that you can remember ?

Just posted an ad on kijiji.ca for my car for sale and received text msgs n email from some chef Vivian Baker stating will pay you an extra Cad 700 on top of my price but cant come to test drive the vehicleas working as a chef internationally.needs to gift his retiring dad. Courier agent will come to pick vehicle. I made it clear that I need payment in the form of Bank Draft that needs to clear first then delivery.

I was also trying to sell a car on Kijiji recently and one of the first offers came from a "Chef Vivian Baker". Just putting this out there for anyone who's looking to see if this is a scam. I had relatively the same story given to me... out of town, couldn't come to see the car but was offering $700.00 CAD extra for me to hold it. Just so long as I would give my PayPay information. This is a absolutely a scam.

Yes I did receive a text. Can I know who r these people?? I got another text from one that said I can't come to see the car because I work for the army. He is asking me to give him my Paypal information to pay me and he will have a courier agent to come pick up the car for him. Lol. Hopefully no one believe in this
