I have no outstanding debts, so y do they call me?

It's a collection company known as Portfolio.  They never leave a message and I have had my number for only 2 months so the calls are for the previous owner of my phone number.

STOP CALLING ME !!!

1st call and no message -

Called my cell phone (March 15, 2014).  Judging from previous posts on this number, it's yet ANOTHER number from Portfolio Recovery (debt collectors).  Apparently, these "junk debt" scavengers have nearly two hundred phone numbers they use to harass and badger people who may or may not owe specific debts which they purchase from various banks for pennies on the dollar after banks close delinquent accounts they deem uncollectable.   Phone calls are the cheapest way to obtain information on people they are searching for....assuming you answer there calls and talk with someone.  Do not answer phone calls from numbers you don't recognize.  Sounds like good advice.  I understand new, more tightly monitored regulations governing these types of debt collectors are soon to be authorized by a government agency (whose name I've forgotten) within the next few months.  About time!

I don't understand why this number keeps calling me. They are looking for someone that I guess had the number before me. Well I figured after I explained to them that I don't know the person they are looking for, plus I just got this number they would stop calling me. Well I guessed wrong. It's time they are put on my unwanted list.

Called the number back.  It is Portfolio Recovery ...Systems (?).  anyway, an answering recorded message says that I will be speaking to a debt collector and giving the spiel about information collected.  I've only had the number a couple of months, so I wouldn't give my name when she asked for it, but I gave her the number, and they said they'd remove it...we'll see, I guess.  

No message. sooooo I pu it on the rejected call list on my iphone. jajajajajajajajaja! never will hear from this sucker again!

Another annoying call.   They asked for someone I don't know.   There business name was something like Portfolio Management on a recorded line.   The woman refused to admit she represents a collection agency, so it MUST be a collection agency.   Add this number to your block list.

There a pain sever calls daily and Never leave message..They need to get a real job/life.!! ;-)) Report them each time they call. Or call them back and bi*** them out over the phone.!!!!

This # called my cell....have NO clue. I just added it to my "reject list" with all the scams I would encourage you to do the same!
