stop calling me!!!

Got a false charge for 11.89 on my Capital One business card.  Description of the transaction was to IMPACT WEB DESIGN @ 817-927-4651 in Texas. Reverse number look-up is to a James Johnson in Fort Worth.  Most of the purchases during the past 30 days have been to B&H Photo.  Just wondering if a server holding their records has been compromised.

No call just a fake charge. I had a similar charge on My First National Bank Visa for $12.79 in early May.  I know for a fact I didn't buy anything with that card so the scam still seems to be running strong.  The bank didn't seem particluarly interested in looking into it they just said send in a letter and they'll take it off the statement.  I'd love to know how the scammer is getting these numbers.

Call your bank, they usually take legal action to get you your money back. They cancelled my debit card in the process, which sucks, but they are supposed to help. Good luck.

The same thing happened to me.  My credit card got charge 11.89.  I called the phone number and it just rang.  I called the credit card company and they took the charge off my account and cancelled my card.

That number is registered to Brent & James Johnson in Ft worth, TX

just googled this phone number 817-927-4651 TX and founf this site. i too was charged $11.49 on May 10, 2008 on my visa. what can I do? never been to Texas. i am in California. how could this happen? never got a call from this number.

Didn't receive a call either but did get charged $11.89 on my Capital One Visa. It was to Impact Templates with this number; called it and all it did was ring. I'm in Arkansas and haven't even used my card in quite some time. Sounds like someone has quite the scam going.

You have a different address than I got. The one I got is 4916 Odessa Rd, Ft Worth, Tx 76137. I am tjis day filing a police with Ft Worth Police Dept.

I just noticed the same charge as everyone here. Charged 3 days ago under Impact web design. For a total of 11.89. I also use capital one visa. Does anyone use this card with paypal?

I am in Texas, D/FW area, charge posted to my Chase card on 4-28-08, in the amount of $ 11.89.  I don't remember getting any call(s), but I am disputing this w/ Chase.

I too got this charge on my VISA debit account yesterday, May 10th. I was wondering, did anyone's charge go past "pending"? And were you reembursed by your credit card company? I only stopped in a TX airport over a year ago... I called the phone number. It just rang and rang. Oh and I didn't stay at a Best Western in TX. I did not get phone call.

I just think it is a little ironic that all of these scams were made through a visa card wether it be a capital one, or a bank visa card

I also received a charge to my bank account of 11.89 through my visa debit card (which is now canceled). I have never been to texas nor have I have stayed a Best Western.  I am not sure how this person is getting his information.

I am in Illinois.  My card (which is now canceled) was a Visa debit card through my bank. Not Capital One.  I have not stayed at any Best Western Hotel in years.  I have not been to Texas in years with the exception of several airports for layovers.

Well I'm in Wisconsin, haven't been to Texas in years and I got an unauthorized charge on my Capital One Visa account for $11.89. It said "Impact Web Design" and had this phone number.  This guy probably got a bunch of numbers somehow and is hoping 1% of the folks don't notice this tiny amount.  My wife thinks his percentage will be much higher.

I also received an unauthorized charge on my Visa for $12.79. The transaction was posted on April 22, 2008 as Impact Web Design 817-927-4651 TX. I also did a reverse directory search and found the number listed to James Johnston, 2012 Ward Parkway, Fort Worth, TX 76110. I live in California. I did stay in Fort Worth a year or so ago at a Best Western Motel. About 6 months after my stay I received a letter stating thieves had taken all their computer records. Records that included credit card numbers. Anyone else stay at the Best Western in Fort Worth?

I just noticed an unauthorized charge of 12.79 on my visa. Tried calling. It rang without a response. Based on this incident and your stories, I believe this must be a scam. I seldom if ever use the visa they charged, I hate scams!

I got an unathorized charge on my checking account for 11.89  My debit card number was used.  The phone number 817....  There is no answer.  Has anyone else had other trouble with their checking account?  I was in Mexico for a few days.  Was anyone else out of the country using their debit card?

I also got an unauthorized charge on my check card with the same description. I called the number and got an answering machine with a man`s voice saying leave your name and number.

i didn't get a call, but an unauthorized charge was on my credit card. This number and a name of acceraleted web produc was the description. I tried calling back the number but all it did was ring.
