keep getting calls over a bill already paid for yrs ago

They called as I ve caller id shows their number 817-953-9440, so I return the caller and found it s no longer connection. What the heck is that?

These people  keep calling and saying I owe a loan debt that I took out and didnt pay  it  400.00 and the interset rate went up to 1662.54 and ask me to settle and if I didnt there would be warrant for my arrest and when u call back you get no answer and this has been going on for about 3 weeks down so what should I do or anyone else do to stop these people from calling us

Called cell phone but left no message.

Called them back repeatedly to harrass them as they have interrupted my day with their need to steal my money. I then put their number on craigslist giving away many free items so that they continue to be called non stop for things. I would do the same if I were you, maybe they would stop! This is getting rediculous I have had this happen 3 times in the past couple months. How many poor souls fall for this!

Have received calls from this 8179539440 numerous times a day past several days. They said they were a debt collector. They asked for a person whose name I've never heard of. I told them they have the wrong number. They keep calling back though, sometimes when we answer the call, there is no one on the other end. Caller ID shows Fort Worth, TX.

collection agencies can get all kinds of info about people without Facebook. In fact Facebook is a last resort and only to cross reference. They can get friends, poss. roommates, relatives, neighbors etc. Laws can protect you though. If you feel something illegal was done, contact a debt collection attorney in your state, you may be entitled to 1000.00 Know your rights!

Lady calls says she is from ADC but refuses to give any other info.  

I'm glad I found this.... That number has called me repeatedly for several days now.. But I just blocked their number on my phone...

She just called me and called me by wrong name first. Than she gets it right and said I told her I would make arrangements for someone to pay my debt. I was like no I didn't. She would not tell me who she represented. Very rude lady, I had to hang up on her.  

Hi! You use to be associated with Avon? My mom did too and she gave them my number because, at the time she didn't have a phone and she quit because they were making her pay more than then she had to. Now the Allied Data Corp keeps calling my phone. they leave vociemails harassing/threatening me. I'm only 16. Did they ever stop calling you?

keep getting calls and they wont stop all hours of the day and evening

Why is there no one that can/will make these calls stop?!  I'm on the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY, so why are they able to keep calling?  They call my cell phone and are using up my minutes when they call too.  Yet, I can't ever get in touch with them to tell them to stop.

Glad i read this, these people have been calling me three times almost every four days or so. I have no idea how to block this number, im in high school and even some other friends of mine have received a call from this number.

Rude as ever lady answered got an attitude with me saying they're adding $500 to my $90 bill because i was behind saying that they're sending my debt higher up, then hung up on me, i called back lady started cursing at me and said

Called asking for my mom who died in January.  When I tried to call them back to tell them that they do not need to call my number again, I got a recording saying they were closed.  Every reverse lookup lists the number as a cell phone.  Also, very glad I found this information here since the last thing that me or my family neds is someone trying ot scam us 4 months after her death and all her debts were settled.

No clue who this is and why calling me. Have only had this number for not even two weeks and haven't given it to anyone! Calls constantly but not while I'm home! Annoying

They have called me from 3 separate numbers.  it started last year when they called to say they  were trying to reach a family member and that i should have them call.  they asked if we were all the type to screw honest people out of their money.  i told my family member about the call and that they should be careful when responding since they asked such a nasty question. now this year they are calling me saying i owe some ridiculous amount of money.  I blocked them from calling me!

They don't just threaten to call your family, friends and co-workers...they DO!  I was called in regard to a friend first.  Now they are calling me about a supposed account that I have.  Coincidence? I don't think so.  Once they get a name from somebody else, they research that name until they find something they can use against them too.

Things must be rough when you agree to do a job for $10 an hour, to call and harass or threaten people, would't you agree?

Also....the original call regarding my friend, was completely wrong.  The issue they told me about was false.  They were trying to get her to pay a LOT of money for a debt that didn't exist.  She had to threaten them with the name of an attorney to get them to stop.  These "people" are out for money...any way they can get it!

I received a call from this company in regards to a friend.  I asked how they got my number, knowing that they only way he could tie me to her was by Facebook.  My stuff is set to private, which means they basically hacked her account to get not only my number, but several others!  He wouldn't tell me how, but said they "have (their) ways".  I asked what it was regarding and he proceeded to give me very personal information regarding my friend.  I am quite sure that this entire call was incredibly illegal!

Now, fast forward about a month and a half, I am getting repeated calls from the company.  They left a message saying they needed to talk to me or my attorney regarding my commercial business account.  I do not have any such account.  A ploy to get me to call back? Ridiculous!!!

I've rec'd 2 calls the last 2 days.  The last vm stated that this was for a partial business account and to call back by 5pm today either me or my lawyer and then says Good Luck.

Wow glad I read this. I couldn't figure out what was going on because I don't owe anyone anything either. I have also learned about tons of scams going on so I won't even answer my phone unless I know who's calling.

they have called me asking for a anthony hisle.i have told them a million times that i owe no past due bills they keep telling me i'm lying.the one lady has told me that i'm a mother --cking loser a  low life who fails to pay my bills & goes on to cuss me out.theirs also a man from this same number that's called & continues to curse me for 5 min.i wind up getting pissed off & cuss him or her back only after they have told me i'm a worthless piece of crap.i get tired of listing to them & hang up.they will wait a hour or to & call me back. got so i hate to answer phone.bad part is i owe no one

I received a call from them asking to verify my personal information, but when I told them I was not about to verify my personal information over the phone to a complete stranger, they said, "fine, I will tell my client to go ahead and sue you then!, goodbye." I don't care either way.

I am called by these numbers almost every day. I never answer the call. The calls are from Allied Data, a collection company in Texas. They're very sneaky because they call me from all three phone numbers, thinking they will catch me off guard. If you get a call from any of these numbers, don't answer them and block them if you can! My credit is perfect now so although I know this is probably an old debt they're calling about, there's absolutely nothing they can do to me. Here's the numbers they are using:

If I continue to get these calls daily I will report them to the FTC!
