1 973-133-1186 in valid prefix so you cant trace

If you answer this number 818.100.6500 there will be silence on the other end. What is happening is your phone number is then being routed to solicitors letting them know that you are home and are answering your phone. I mistakenly picked up the phone today when this number appeared on my caller ID. Within 10 minutes the solicitation calls began. Beware!

When you call it back you get this number is no longer in service verizon wireless.

Fact 1 - the DNC list CLEARLY does not work!  Everyone knows this...or should know this!
Fact 2 - filing a complaint with the FCC does not work!  A total waste of time.  Done that.
Fact 3 - having an unlisted phone will not help you.
Fact 4 - asking/begging telemarketers to take you off their call list does not work!
Fact 5 - no "class action" suits that are filed and certainly, this is not the remedy.  Many of these telemarketers are in other countries and out of the jurisdiction of the USA.

Call blocking phones are very inexpensive $40-$60 and they come with, at least, one wireless handset.  Very, very convenient.

Uniden and Panasonic make CALL BLOCKING telephones.  They?re cheap - $40-$60 and they usually come with a 2nd. wireless handset.  And they work beautifully!  These phones also block ?PRIVATE?, ?OUT OF AREA? and "UNKNOWN" calls!!!
I have had the same home number and the same business phone number for over 15 years and my home and my business lines (both published) seem to be on every imaginable call list.  I bought a Panasonic call blocking phone for my home and I bought a Uniden call blocking telephone for my business.
NO MORE PROBLEMS WITH TELEMARKETERS.  THEY CAN?T GET THROUGH!
We can stop these telemarketers IF we all buy a call blocking phone.

I am on the do not call list as well.   I got numerous calls from this firm, but I did not pick up and they never left a message.
On the last call, I accidently answered the phone.  She told me that I had numerous credit charges from Guatemala.  I asked her numerous times, what credit card but she refused to tell me.
It's a scam to get your credit card information.

Got a call from this #, didn't answer, and they didn't leave a message.  Tried to call back to tell them we are on DNC list, but as mentioned above, number is spoofed and can't even be called back.

I just got a call from this number - no message.  I called back and was told it wasn't a valid number.  I don't get the point in all of this - do they just do it to annoy people?  If so, it really works.

This number just called my landline and, after the caller listened to my outgoing message (I screen ALL my calls because of unconscionable companies such as this), he/she/it then hung up.

Most discourteous, invasive, distracting, and disruptive.

I just got the call - 7:50pm Friday night.  It is purely an annoyance call.  Electronic pranksters.  They - who ever it is - are not selling anything.  Call the number back and you get a prerecorded message that you can't dial this number without a valid code and to please hang-up and contact your long distance carrier (in one of those old-fashioned AT&T chime and ladies voice formats)

I've received calls from this caller at least 10 times over the last several weeks.  Unfortuntely for me, my phone has reached it's capacity to "block" certain numbers.  I am also on the Do Not Call list, but I do have a listed phone number.

Do the responsible thing, and go to FCC on your search engine, and file a complaint with the Federal Communication Commission. Blocking this number does nothing to stop this type of abuse. You are not protecting the next guy, you are giving the abuser the green light to abuse someone else. Being on a Do Not Call list will not stop this type of call, let the Feds do it. They won't see the humor in this type of abuse. Good luck, and do the right thing, it can be done on line and only takes about 3 minutes.

The trouble with that number is that 100 is an invalid prefix, which means that the whole number is spoofed. As I have Comcast Voice for my phone service, I can screen up to 12 numbers. I just added this one.

Just received a call from 1-818-100-6500. Caller does not leave a message. Very annoying, bad business practice. Also on do not call registry. What ever they are selling I'm not buying.

Just received a call from this number late last night.  Did not answer.  Also on Do Not Call List.

I just got call from this number, and was able to trace it to the Agoura, Calabassas, Thousand Oaks region of So.Cal. I too am on the Do Not Call list.

This is not the first time I've received a call from this number, and I am on the Do Not Call registry.
