Claimed to be from Bank of America. I had recently changed my address. He had both my new and old addresses, and home and cell phone numbers. I did not volunteer this information, but I'm afraid he got what he wanted as he confirmed the info was correct.

Call and says I stole money from B of A over the internet. Is demanding my attorney's name. He says his name is Atty Jacob Morris. New my work info and SSN.

got a call at work and at home demanding i retain an attorney. Said i was being sued for taking out a cash advance and not repaying it. Called family member and friends trying to gain info. Tried logging on to my online banking and failed. It is a true scam. I have never taken out a cash advance online and I dont know how they got my information. Very scarry

Got a call today said he is from BOA. Said soembody issued a check in my name for $4800, paid to some Andrey Faye. Repeated my address (correct). Wanted me to call my bank to stop that payment

Call was from BofA risk management department.
Caller does indeed work for BofA and provided a direct call back number. Verified this through 2 other BofA sources. Not common practice to call customers, but will do so in certain cases where changes have been made on accounts.
