Same guy calls from 951-389-0292 and 919-653-0786

I received a voicemail on July 4th from a guy saying his name was John Morris (with a thick Indian accent) and saying to call him back or "he could only wish me luck as the sitation unfolded upon me". His voicemail made abosolutley no sense with incomplete sentences and partially formed thoughts, but he read off my email address so I decided to call back. When I called back now his name was John Anderson. He proceeded to tell me that he was an attorney at a law firm in CA and that a "law suit was being filed in my name" he read off a list of charges against me and said that the FBI would be at my job on the 5th to arrest me. When I asked what this was about he said it was about a loan that I had taken out and didn't pay back. I did have a loan but it wasnt due until July 6th and when I stated this he became very angry and said he was going to make my life miserable. Clearly this was a scam but then he proceeded to tell me that they would call my job (he knew where I worked) and tell them i was a criminal and also that they would take money out of my acct (he knew where I banked) so then I got angry. He stated that he could not help me and hoped I was arrested and hung up on me. I called back and he just kept picking up the phone and saying to stop calling him the police were coming for me. I then called him from a different number and now his name was Ronnie, that was all I needed to hear so I just hung up and blocked his number. I then called the place where I had taken out the loan. They confirmed that this was a scam and that they didn't know how he had gotten my information. My loan payment came out of my acct as scheduled on the 6th and while I was still worried that that guy had my info I assumed this was the end of it. But no, just 20 mins ago I got a call from 919-653-0786 (now a # originating from Cary, NC) and another guy with a thick Indian accent tells me (again) that his name is John and has the same B.S story about me not paying my loan (which was paid last Friday). He asks me if I have a lawyer and if I have been briefed on this issue, I say no and pretend that I have no clue what he is talking about so he tells me he is going to "transfer" me to someone to explain why they are calling. He then sits there for a few seconds and obviously just hands the phone to some other idiot who tells me his nme is Sam Taylor calling from Rogers & Donalds law firm (which as far as I can tell doesn't exist) and gives me the same story and reads off the same charges, I listen quietly and then hang up....I expect there will be more calls and perhaps I will have to change my number...but my best advice is if this happens to you, wether you took out a loan or not, is to flag your SSN #, close your bank accts, and just be careful. These people are obviously hacking information from somewhere & fishing for more info and then having the audacity to call and harress their victims.

Yeah, me too. They called from 510-256-0361, leaving this number as a return. Most of the voicemail is hard to understand with their accent and the fact that they sound like they are reading from a script. I googled the # and called back from a different phone but they didn't answer. They claim I have a lawsuit against my SSN and they have all my personal information. The weird thing about the voicemail at the end he says "good luck as this unfolds" which pretty much creeped me out. That's the main reason I googled the number, I've never had someone trying to collect a debt say anything like that.

What can we do? How in the hell do they have all our personal info. Who do we report this to?

I have recieved same type of calls. I was scared, that THEY HAD ALL OF MY INFORMATION. The weird thing is I was scared and I began researching this mess and trying to figure out how to pay back this money. His name this time was Marc Watson. Thank God for Wisdom, but I have to get my accounts shut down and call the credit companies, they had all of my information.

I received a call this morning from a guy with a bad accent claiming to be Greg Johnson. The number he called from was 510-256-0361 but the number he told me to call back was this 818-337-3040. He said he was with the Federal Leg. of Customer Repair Center. He left a message on my cell phone stating that he had premission from my attorney ( I do no have an attorney) to contact me, then he went so far as to tell me he knew my ssn and that I have 3 criminal charges against my name and ssn. I pulled up my court records and there are no such charges, which I knew there wasn't. When I tried to find out information on these numbers and his name, nothing was available. I just happened to pull these numbers up on google and found all these complaints against this guy/company. Does anyone know how to put a stop to this. Any help would be greatly apperciated.

IM GETTING MESSAGES AND PHONE CALLS FROM  THIS SO CALLED COMPANY SAYING THE SAME THING ABOUT CHECK FRAUD FOR CASH AMERCIA.  THEY DON'T WANT TO GIVE ME ANY INFORMTION AND THEY SAID THEY WHERE SENDING MY INFORMATION TO THE FBI AND SHERIFF DEPARTMENT.  THEY KNEW WHERE I WORKED,MY EMAIL ADDRESS AND MY CELL PHONE NUMBER.  WHEN I TOLD THEM I WAS CALLING CASH AMERICA MYSELF THEY TOLD ME NOT TO DO THAT AND HUNG THE PHONE UP.  THIS IS A HOAX

I got calls starting on friday. I called today and had a life threating experince! . I checked into this and found the FBI has issued a statement on this number as a act of fraud!!!! I called the attorney general in california and there is an investagation  going on as I write and this is one of the largest scam  going on at this time..

I just had the xact same phone call. They knew my last 4 of my social and where I bank from. Is there somewhere we can report this to?

caller has indian accent and claims to be a law firm. very rude and uses profane language.

Guy with thick accent called and left Voicemail, said he needed my lawyer information as I was being sued. When I called back from my landlines it went to a 'full' inbox. I called on my cell and he answered. He read his script again and again. I played dumb and kept repeating I don't understand. He eventually grew bored and hung up. Claimed his name was jack dawson. The do not call list is a joke, these people are still harassing everyone.

I got the same call from Eris Johnson, same company and story. Thank God for GOOGLE!

the caller insist that im in some sort of trouble , he has a very distinct indian accent i hope that the information that he has on me and my bank account doesnt come back to hunt me.

I have been revieving these call sincce December form this number 818 337 3040, with an Indian accent, stating that I owe money that they are a law firm, and asking me if I have a lawyer. Count 1 banking fraud count2 check fraud said that i took an cash advance from cashadvanceamerice and have not paid them and they tried six time, so they consider the money lost or stolen. the thing is that he has my last four of my SS# and who I bank with. I do believe this some type of id theft the are doing. I hope that someone can do something about, what about the older people and the disable people who may fall for the scam.

Interestingly I called this # yesterday afternoon and got a vm fr someone telling me Happy New Year its a scam. They then called me today and when I told him this he got irate and told me to call again.  So I called and got the same message.  Then when he called again, I had him on my work line, called with my cell and amazingly got thru to someone.... hmmmm.  Interesting how that works when the guy on the vm tells you that they are siphoning this number.

Apu Nahasapeemapetilon Sounding mother f****r called @ 5:32 pm saying that he is from a law firm trying to collect a debt and they attempted to withdraw money from my wife account 6 times but no luck and asked if she had a lawyer and then she asked if they had a lawyer and then they hung up

a man with a heavy indian accent claimed that he was Officer Brown and was informing me that there was a lawsuit against my social security number. He said that the case file was for bank fraud and fraud with electronic transfere funds. He was unable to give me any information about the company I was supposed to have gotten a loan for.When my boyfriend asked him to send the documents so we could have my lawyer look at them he said he would send them via the sheriff. No sign of the documents. One thing to be aware of is that they knew the last 4 digits of my social security number and where I do my banking, as well as where I work. They are calling my work (I am a teacher) and leaving really hostile messages on the voicemail

A person with the heavy  Indian accent....keep calling me from this number.....Harassing me...Identifying Himself as Ronny Cooper 818 337 3040

Very heavy Indian accent, so heavy that I con not understand his name or the name of the company he is calling from, couldn't pronounce my name and I received a call yesterday morning at a little after 6am, and today 4 calls starting at 7:27am.  All messages sound exactly the same and sound like he is reading from a script, and again the accent is so thick you barely understand what is being said.
