I just let it ring. If I don't recognize the number, I don't answer.  With numbers like this, I put them in Google and they always take me to this type of page.

The easiest way to deal with these scum is to simply tell them (after they tell you they are from Microsoft) that you are confused because you don't have a computer, not even a laptop or cell phone.  They will usually hang up at that point.

I received two calls from Top Googlepages. 971-217-9514.
They said they were from Windows, my computer will be lost, & needs fixed.
On the first call I ask if he was able to access my computer remotely, he said he was Jon from Windows, serving windows on my behalf. He wanted to fix my computer. I was not receptive and had his manager get on the phone- a really rude guy. (Lots of call room chatter in the background.) He told me to go to www.pcbooster.com and see what I need to do to fix my computer. I hung up.
I pulled up the number on google search engine and found this site, then they called me back.
When I told him to take me off his caller list, he says,
"Don't blame us if you lose your computer. Your computer will be gone."
I hung up on them again.

Got a call but did not answer and there was no message - ID said "Googlepages top"

If they are indeed scammers impersonating Microsquish windows technicians, it is interesting that they use "Google" since google would probably be interested in dealing with problems on a chromebook.

I am ready to have fun with them if the call  My home computer is dual boot -  Microsoft win7 and Ubuntu Linux.   I run Linux 95 % of the time.  When they ask me to turn on my computer, I will dutifully tell them that I am turning on  my computer that has Windows 7 installed on it (But will not tell them that I am running Linux).  I will then answer their questions based on what I know about Windows 7.  At some point, if they want me to download software, etc and run it, I might oblige and run their xxx.exe file  (Don't try this at home with Microsoft)  The program will not load correctly in wine and will give all sorts of errors that I will "innocently" try to have them help me through.  Of course, my "problems" will be WAY off of their script.  After a bunch of frustration on their part, or when I cannot keep a straight face, I will let the cat out of the bag and tell them what is really happening.  Then I will probably learn some new Hindi vocabulary.

This was my second call today from these people.  My caller ID says call is from "Beaverton, OR".  First call was from # 206-397-1127, same guy, different number.  This second call came in just seconds after I hung up on the first call (while laughing at them).  Both times they claimed to be from "Microsoft", but have heavy accents (Indian).

They don't know anything about your computer, but they do want you to give them access so they can install malware!  Do not be concerned (that they know about something wrong with your computer), but do hang up on them.

It's all a scam.  Warn friends who aren't computer savvy enough to laugh and hang up on these predators.

My wife received a similar call today from "John". Northern Indian- maybe Gujurati. Spoke English with an American-influenced accent. Freakin' disgusting that he brings shame on Mohandes Karamachan Ghandi.

Same b***s***: 'Represents Microsoft Windows Customer Service. IP Address identified as corrupted. Windows upgrade needed. Need to turn computer on.' Etc. Hung up when challenged.

Personal message for "John", the scum bag would-be scammer:
Don't EVER come to New Jersey.
People like you disappear.
No one cares.

Why doesn't this site list "SCAM" or  "FRAUD" as  a 'Call Type'?

I'm in Nonofyourbiz.  Got a Call fro a East Indian Accent person, demanding that I turn on my computer because it was randomly downloading a'Bunch of Junk!'  I told him I would not turn on my computer for him or anyone else. I asked who he was, how he got this phone number, he became very angry, insisting that I turn on my computer.  I told him to stop harassing me and get out of my face and off of my phone.

I got the call today at my office. It was kinda funny. I kept him on the phone for 30 mins. Then when he wouldn't give me a number to call back he tried to curse me out. I told him he wasn't doing a good job scamming people.  The only way they would have gotten the office number was through my interactions with microsoft people about repairs a few weeks ago. Not sure if there is any real relation here but I only gave the my office number out but perhaps someone in the actually tech office overseas is giving numbers to these scammers to try to trick people that may have recently gotten computer repair. anyway. It was funny. I might call them back some time for a laugh.

I have been seeing this number on my caller ID for some time now.  Haven't answered but I have answered similar calls to those listed here from other numbers.  If they keep calling, it must mean that people are falling for it.  We should all answer the phone with, "federal bureau of investigations.  Authentication access code please."  Watch how fast they stop calling.

Got the same call today! I was freaked out. My SIL was here - I had him handle it. He grew suspicious - took his name (Allen - yeah) with thick Indian/Pakastani accent - with a fictious number where he could be reached. We then hung up. It's a really scarey world out there. You must screen each a d every call, and DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT give anyone your private information. Ever!

11 September 2013
T-Mobile Customer Relations
P.O. Box 37380
Albuquerque, NM 87176-7380

To T Mobile:
On 10 September 2013 from 18:02 until 19:18 I received at least 24 criminal, unwanted, threatening, and harassing telephone calls on my T Mobile phone +++++++++ Over the past 6 months I have received roughly 50 similar calls, but never 24 of them in 80 minutes. The other 50 calls have come at all times of the day and night, including repeatedly waking my family in the middle of the night. I now have to keep my phone turned off at night because of these harassing calls.  I repeatedly ask these callers to not call me and tell them that I am on the National ?Do not call? list, and did so again on at least 10 of these calls last night. I suspect that they come from spoofed numbers which are giving false numbers to my caller ID. The purpose of these calls is to trick me into giving the personal information by allowing them to access to my computer either for the purpose of them misusing my computer, possibly to steal my financial information to steal from me, or possibly to get access to sensitive information that I may have as a ???????????????????? worker. I suspect that the reason that they kept calling back over and over this time, was that I may have upset them by keeping them on hold for a long time and giving them the initial impression that I was going to give them access to my computer when I had no intention of actually doing so. While they were unsuccessful in harming me or the ????????????? in this attack, they sound like they call person after person until they are successful. They would not continue to do this unless some of the people that they call do fall for their ruse. Stopping them from continuing to do this will prevent significant theft or significant espionage, possibly both.

All of these calls are from males and females with what sounds like Indian accents (last night was always the same male), who tell me that they are calling from Microsoft because there is a problem with my computer and they want to help me fix it. They ask me to go to my computer. I do not know what they will ask next because I never let them get further than that. This time my caller Id said these calls came from 14254069022 (7 calls), 19712179508 (5 calls), 19712179514 (5 calls), 12063971127 (4 calls), 19712179518 (3 calls).

On prior occasions, they have called from 10999100119, 109999100119, 10234567890, 15126104761, 12064560661, 0000000000, 1284678, 284678 and others.

I previously filed a complaint to the Honolulu police (cannot recall complaint number), and did so again on 10 September, with HPD complaint report number ????????????????????

T Mobile needs to work with The Honolulu police and any other agency that can investigate this matter (perhaps FBI, national security agencies, and/or Interpol) to punish these criminals and prevent them from harming and harassing others. While I have no way to determine where the calls are actually originating from, T Mobile have the technology to do so.  Calling after being not to call, calling from spoofed numbers which gives me no way to identify them or call them to demand that they stop calling, and attempting to gain access to my computer and personal information under false pretenses, are all illegal acts.
I have now added the new numbers to my call blocking list, but since they keep calling from different numbers (or are spoofing different caller IDs), I expect that these calls will continue.

Just got a call today from "Alex" . Said my pc has a virus and windows service department needed to have remote access to fix it.  I informed "Alex" that A) we dont have a pc, but do have a laptop and B) NEVER use it except for the occasional email and games, maybe facebook once in a while. And that our main "computer device" that we use are our apple products. To which "alex " imformed me that this is how we got the virus, by backing up our ipad, iphones and mac on the laptop. And that if I dont give them " windows" remote access to repair the damages and remove this virus that everyone on my yahoo , hotmail and gmail accounts will get the virus.Excuse me? I do NOT have any of these accounts and secondly do not back up any of my apple products on the laptop EVER! We have a Mac for goodness sake. Seemed like the more I protested and rebutted the more angry "Alex" became making him harder to understand thru his accent. So I told him a fib. Said I would have my coworker at the RCMP Fraud squad take a look at my laptop and asked if I could have a call back number in case they had any questions. "Alex" told me to go f$ck a goat and hung up. Lol thinking this is the last call I get, lol   Nice try scammers, nice try.

I received a call 12:34 pm.  I do not answer my phone. The only people that call this particular number are for doctors, business, bills. etc.  There was some mumbling with an accent and lots of noise, they hung up immediately once they realized no one answered the phone.  This call came in From Beaverton, OR.  I live approximately 1 hour from there.
