Call from David Warner at 1-818-638-7265 ext 108. Said computer was hacked. Asked for IP address and he gave me a LAN IP address....to my router. Total crock. DO NOT give these people anything.

Someone with an Indian accent who spoke broken English said my PC was hacked and he wanted to walk me through the fix while I was online with him. He said he worked for World Wide Web Tech Support. I asked him why he would care if my PC had a virus and he said he wanted to help. HA! I told him I would call him back and he said I couldn't call him at the number he called me from but he gave me this number. I laughed out loud when he said his name was David Warner! He acted offended and said it wasn't a joke and that really was his name. Obviously a SCAM!

"Edward" claimed to be working with Microsoft. I could only understand every few words he said; however, from what I could gather, he was apparently calling from the "Anti-hacking Software Department Corporation." He was calling, not to sell me anything, but to warn me that my computer was in great danger from hackers! When pushed about who he was and what he was up to, and what kind of company is named "Anti-hacking Software Department Corporation," the only answers he could give were that my computer is in grave danger and I need his help! Well, needless to say, I did not trust "Edward" to solve my computer problems. I think I will rely on my firewall and someone who is actually calling me from the United States of America! Though the number he gave is out of Glendale, CA, the number that actually appeared on my phone was an international number that, best I can tell, is coming somewhere from the South Pacific. Please do not get scammed by these low-lifes!

They mis-identified themselves. They said they were Dell Tech support.
