scams, these people prey on these acting sites. be AWARE. they text you and tell you that your hired for a commercial then ask for money. don't do it. this psses me off. taking our info off this site. actors pages.com

Soooo glad I looked into this guy. I got the e-mail from him the other day and he said my daughter had been chosen as a direct booking for a Citibank Commercial to be filmed in Miami and it pays $2,000. He asked me to confirm my cell number so I did and got a call from him today saying he wanted to ask me a few questions about my daughter. His questions were "Is she available to shoot on these dates?", "Can she memorize lines?", "Does she get along well with other cast and crew?", and "What would you say sets her appart from other talent?". Now in my case he asked for our legal names and address to send us the contracts. I then asked him if he didn't need her agent's information and he said no, it was better going directly through the talent. He didn't say anything to me about a donation in our conversation, but that might have been coming after he got our legal names and address. Either way, I am glad I found this thread before I sent him anything further. Now instead I am going to send him nothing.

theres no way this isnt a scam !!!!!!!! ive always been told by reputable companys and individuals that there should NEVER be any kind of fees for actors or models for ANY job . and like someone had previously said how did i get the part when i didnt even audition . i got this scam txt last nite and after reading this page of responces i wont be calling the scan artist . i feel sorry for the people that fell for this .  be carefull who you give your personal info to .... good luck everyone

I got the same thing.  He says that they chose me although I never went on an audition!?!  Of course he wants me to pay $350 via Paypal to Unicef for a "donation".  How would he even know if you donated anyway?  I'm going to play him back and see what happens...total scammer.

this dude texted me saying that he saw my resume, and that i needed to confirm my cell # to him and that he wanted me in a bank commercial for $2000 a day, a scam?

So, I have the exact same scenario as everyone else. This is a scam.
1. you dod not pay to be in commercials.
2. They dont pay $2000.00 up front
3. They don't text you
4. Unless you appiled, or your agent did, you have 0 chance of being in that good of a commercial
5. There is no web site backing up this information.

* Always check out and research before handing out information. And if someone says they're representing someone or something, there will be a verifiable Emblem and bussiness label.

Scam artist for fake commercial jobs

Yes I did but its a 380 fee now. Did you do it? It was for a bank commercial in new york at the end of september but im skeptical now. What can you tell me?

My mom talked to this guy yesterday.  Got email that commercial is from Aug 25 - Aug 30th starting in Pittsburgh, Pa.  Also email says he needs a processing fee of $370.00.  This is what the email said

:We appreciate your patients and assistance's but there is small processing fee of $370 to submit for the participation in the commercial as all the another applicants for the commercial has subscribed too hence please confirm your participation?.

The fee we are requesting is a small fee for the Unicef aid fund raising oppose to another talent agency implied with a larger fee than what we are asking ,even you visit a lawyer and talent agency the management will impose a consultation fee and a processing fee.

As the amount will be contributed to the Unicef aid fund for a tax deductible receipt enclosed with the necessary relevant documents. .

Please do understand the donated amount is for the fundraising aspect and a tax deductible receipt issued with the itinerary .During the recession period lack of great salaries opportunities particularly for independent talents.Please do understand we can't allow an exception as this will be unfair to another talents who did paid the fee and legally it will be dishonest for us to proceed.Please further note as each company has different policies in place for every participation's.

I know you pay agents 10 - 15% to get you jobs.  Since when do you pay up front to be in a commercial.  Called the number on email.  Says to leave message.  Did anyone else get this email.

I just got a call from that number today.  I talked to a man with a very heavy Australian accent.  He was  hard to understand.  He sent me an email too.  He said he would be mailing information to me regarding my daughter being in a Wells Fargo commercial.  Hope this wasn't a scam!  Now I am kinda freaked out that I gave him my information.

I also got a computerized sounding message from a david richardson regarding a wells fargo bank commercial. Sounds a bit dodgy to me. did you hear anything else from it. the message said he would call back tomorrow.

I want to know if this call came from a talent agency for commercials.
