on the radio advertising 300 dollars free gas.  I called and then they said I had to buy at least 100 dollars in gas each month.  He wanted a credit card to charge me for the activation fee and 3 dollars and something for processing.  I told him I wasn't comfortable giving information over the phone.  He guaranteed me he was licensed by the FCC and that all he does all day is this.  I could get a copy of our conversation because it was all being recorded.  He also told me not to worry about getting the card fo

Ok about 2 months ago my boyfriend gets a call about a $500 gas card..DONT FALL FOR IT!!! He did it and now there is $190 worth of charges took out of his bank account!!! The only reason he fell for it was they knew all of his info including the last four digits of his account number..So im assuming he thought they were legitamate.. They put charges from these places on there..(Roadside assistance, diners club, buyers club and Identity theft)  He talked someone from gold coast and they were "supposed" to put the money back in the bank.. That was almost 2 months ago and they still havent put it back in the bank.. Now the bank is basically telling him he is screwed!!!! Anyone got any suggestions?? SERIOUSLY EVERYONE JUST HANG UP AS SOON AS YOU HEAR THAT GAS CARD BU***HIT!!!!!!!

THERE IS NOTHING FREE THESE DAYS...  just say "NO".  all he did was waste my cellphone minutes.
The government should arrest these people and label them crooks, then confiscate anything they communication device used within US territories.

I believe I fell for this as well I am currently planning a vacation trip with some friends and so they hit me with a vacation package for me and 3 of my friends all expenses paid.... I was fishy but thought it was worth paying the 4.95 in shipping to check it out.  Just moments after I gave them my card # I didn't feel right about how they sucked at answering my questions.  Another thing as I was going through the process they put me on this automated system that was verifying everything and during the part where there might be monthly charges it kept cutting in and out, but when it mentioned the vacation package etc the recording was clear as a bell.  Almost like they set that up... so I was like I wasn't able to hear the charges portion....and I mentioned that to them and they said "that is because it is a recording, you will not be charged more then $4.95"

I just sent an email to their support (customercare@supersavingstoday.com) requesting that they remove me from the registration and gave them my verification #.  Since it took for ever to get someone on the support line email was the best option for me.  Hope they respond promptly.

Hey, afraid I fell for it too! They have my card number and now I have cancelled that card and have a new one. I have had all charges removed, even after they say you will not be billed until you get the card! BULL!!! Nothing but more little promos they keep adding as FREE gifts!!! I don't have caller ID so I am not sure what number they called from.

I got the call. Same old story as everyone else. I am one of the idiots that gave my info. They knew my name and city and state, but had my address incorrect. When I tried to tell them my correct address the woman on the line could not understand me at all. (like she did not speak my language...should have been my first clue) Passing the phone around, they were very insistent and the entire time I did not feel right. By the end of the call I was VERY leery. I informed them of that and I got my bank on the cell phone up to one ear while I had them on my home phone on the other ear. I told him I was talking to my bank. He got scared and put me on hold. I informed "Shawn" that I would be closing my bank account that I had just given him the number for and then I did just that. Has anyone actually LOST money because of these guys? Luckily we did not get to that point because we took care of it immediately. I am feeling very humbled, and feeling very gullible in a really bad way. I knew better. Don't entertain them by staying on the line if they call you. Hang up.

Same crap here, but the only way I know of to defeat these guys is this:
When I get an out of area code call repeatedly, I do not answer. If it is legit, they will leave a message. After googling the number to be sure, I then create a new "contact" in my cell phone from the nusiance number, and set the ringtone for that contact as "NO RING". Bingo! they can call all they want, but my phone never rings! After a period of time you can delete the old bogus contacts from your phone and re-cycle the names, like "junk call" "telecrap" or whatever.

Hey guys, I've been receiving the same calls from the same numbers, so I understand the frustration you guys are going through.  They would call me 2 to 3 times daily from each of those two numbers and I would get pissed and tell them to f off.

My solution.  First, register your number on the do not call list.  This will be the first move you can make so that in about a month, the registration will take effect and those guys will no longer be able to contact you.  For now if anyone is still receiving these annoying phone calls, I recommend you call your telecommunications provider (mine is Verizon wireless) and tell them your situation.  I told the customer service rep that these callers are harassing me, interrupting my work, dinner with family, and that I wanted this taken care of.  The nice lady offered to help, and I gave her the two numbers, 818 and 909, and she entered it into her system.  I have NOT received any calls from these guys since Saturday, so I recommend you guys do the same.  Hopefully that helps.  You can also reach me at dktq008@hotmail.com . Cheers, and happy tuesday!

I just got a call from "Gold Coast" stating I had just won a $1000 shopping spree for having shopped at one of their "partner stores."  All I had to do to receive my "absolutely free" voucher was to verify my mailing address.  I never give out personal information to calls like that.  I asked the lady, who happened to have an Indian/Pakistani accent, for Goldcoast's website address.  She said it was "under construction" and that this was "absolutely free."  She continued to repeat the fact that it was "free" and there was no obligation on my part.  I asked where her company was located and she said Phoenix, Arizona.  I asked for an address and she refused to give it to me.  I told her to give me her address and I would give her mine.  She refused so I did likewise.  I kept her on the phone long enough to search the State of Arizona registered business list, and SURPRISE - there was no "Goldcoast/Gold Coast" listed in Phoenix.  When I told her that she ignored me and said "do you want this free $1000 shopping spree, or not?"  I then started asking her why she worked for a company that lies to people and defrauds people.  I decided to have fun at 8:15 in the morning with whoever this was that called me.  They wasted my time, so I decided to waste theirs (I happen to be off today).
This is NOT the first time I have received a call from "Gold Coast" stating I had won something.  It is the first time I have had time to prove they are fake.

I've been receiving calls from 909-842-9148 (comes up as Big Deals on caller id) repeatedly for several days, so I decided to answer & see what it was.  Much the same situation as everyone else.  A man w/ a heavy Indian accent tells me I've been "selected" by his company, Gold Coast, to receive a $300 voucher for gasoline, & that I'd only have to pay $3.90 for shipping.  When I asked him how I would be expected to pay this $3.90, he handed me off to a "supervisor", another man w/ an Indian accent who told me his name was Steve Blaire.  When he said I would need to give him a credit card # to pay, I told him I wasn't about to do that.  He gave me his operator id w/ the company as if that was supposed to reassure me & I again said I would not give them a credit card #.  When he asked why again, I told him I don't ever give out info like that on unsolicited calls, and I hung up!  What sleazeballs!  It's such a shame that there are still people who will fall for stuff like this.

hEY EVERYONE...
am afraid i fell for this!

i got this call i few days ago and it didnt feel right to me and hung up, they call several times more til i started insulting them and hung up. they kept calling but i didnt answer.

yesterday i was short on cash and thought of this people and said to me ' probably its legitimate and god is sending me a way of saving money" and they call this morning... i gave them my C card number... they had my mailing address in the US which thank god is not my c card billing address... when i told them my billing address is not the same they were very pushy and pressuring me to give them my cred card billing address in mexico... in that moment i checked on the web and found this website and i got scared as i had already give them my digits... i knew if i tried to change my digits they wouldnt believe so i just gave them a fake address from mexico (that way they wont call for a while)...

I wonder whether they can screw me only with my digits, as said, my mailing address in the US is not the same as my credit card and gave them a fake address in mexico (didnt want to tell them to fu*ck off coz they would call more and more)

Please help me!!

These guys are pure evil. I asked to be put on their do not call list, and they said "this is not a sales call because I'm offering you something for free". I got myself transfered to a manager, and then to a "director"... all three of them gave me the same line of bu***hit. The "director" hung up on me when I said I wanted more information so I could report them to the FTC.
