These people have called multiple times over the last several months.  I never answer yet they never give up.  According to the AARP this is a scam to get credit card and driver's license numbers from seniors.  I get so many scam calls I started to keep a record the first of June and now have a total of 33 unique  phone numbers from scammers.  33!

I am receiving calls at least once a day from this number 828 059 4744 - when I call back the message is that I have dialed incorrectly- I am in area code 828.

I live in the Asheville area and I continue to get these calls daily, often several times a day.  I do not answer calls that show up as NAME UNAVAILABLE or ANONYMOUS.  As far as I know, 059 is not a valid prefix here.  It's just annoying

Been getting strange calls from Asheville, NC and no one leaves a message. I try to trace calls on my blocker I block and all that seem strange.. I get them on my cell and on the house phone. Most seem to be cell phones. Makes me wonder if scanners buy many pre paid phones to do scanning withand test them out on people first before they start scamming. Most start out callingand hanging up.

I twice have answered the calls from this number and when I say "hello" a recorded voice says "good bye" and hangs up....

Also got a call from this number, but when I didn't answer, I got two subsequent calls within the next couple of minutes from other numbers. 828 is an area code for western North Carolina where I happen to live, but that means nothing. These people work in call centers and they have access to probably hundreds of phone numbers in a variety of locations, including those in your local area code which they think will probably get you to answer the phone. I got two calls from 828 area codes and the last desperate attempt to get me to answer from an out of state number. These are computer generated phone calls so having an unlisted number means nothing. Neither does being on any do not call list. Don't answer. They will not take your number off their list no matter what they tell you and there is no way to keep them from calling you again. Just don't answer.

Same as Kris' note.  This is the 4th time they called this week.. ID says N CAROLINA CALL.  IF I answer, no one says anything?  WHY BOTHER CALLING??????

I have no idea who is calling. They have called at least once a month since March 2012 until now (June 2012). The phone only rings twice and they never leave a message. I have not tried to answer the phone when the number shows up. Googling the number and looking at several sights has only brought up that the call is from Asheville, NC and that it's a telemarketer. Also, my phone number is unlisted so I don't know how they would get it.

I received a call from 828-059-4744 on 05/07/2013 but did not answer and they did not leave a message.  When I dialed the number back, a recorded Verizon Wireless message came on that the number had been changed, disconnected or was no longer in service.
