I received a call from this number telling me I committed fraud with my checking account. When I asked him who he was he said he was a lawyer. I could barely understand him (middle eastern man) then he threatened me with all kinds of lawyer stuff but I find it hard to believe he was a lawyer and he said he had all my information including my social security number and when I asked him to tell me my SS# he gave me the last 4 digits and they were not mine. When I told him that he had the wrong person and keep asking him for more info to see who he was assoicated with of course he said I was lying and then he hung up on me.

i keep getting a call from this number 714-276-6089 as well as number above. they say they are with a law firm but wont give the name of company when asked. they say i took out a loan back in feb..which i did not..say they were going to sue me.. in the amount of almost $600.when i got a friend to call they did the same thing to her.. would give no information about themselvs...

I have also received calls from this number saying that I am being sued for taking a loan. When I called, I talked to a Charles White, the same voice of Brian Thomas who left me messages. Both had think accents (sounded Middle Eastern) and would not explain to me why I was being sued and was who suing me unless I had my attorney call. I angrily told them to put in in writing and would not get any else from me until they did so. When I asked if this was fraud or a scam, they hung up on me...TWICE!! Do not listen to them! Do not give any personal information and try to call the police in your area and in the number's surrounding area (in Salinas, Hollister, mostly somewhere in the northern Central Coast). THIS IS A SCAM. Charles White and Brian Thomas are the same person and they are trying to scam you into whatever they are trying to get FROM you.

These people called me and my fiance and we had just relocated and this call scared us to death dont believe this it is a scam.Do not give out any information to these people

The number 831-607-4533 is still in service.  I have spoken to someone "named" Chris and Charles White.  I have received several fax numbers from him...626-226-5695, 626-737-1123, 502-638-2484, and 979-665-4851

I have been receiving calls threatening to file charges against me, which would result in the police arresting me at my home or place of business.  The caller is unable to verify the company in which I received a loan and can not give me any details about the company that "hired" them.

I called the no and checked it with the state attorney's office and it is a law firm from Arkansas and the calls we are receiving is from California. i checked with them and then called up to see why they were calling me and it was regarding an unsettled debt which slipped of the crack . I paid them up in full and they send me a paid in full document as well.

I lost my job over this matter my husband has bden geeting the same calls like everyome on here....SOMEONE PLEASE HELP

My wife was called and same story. Please stop them.

I called them back and they first said his name was John and then when I said i was returning a call his name was Chris and is was the same person. I told him that I was calling him back and said to him you are not going to call me again I have spoke with police about you. And I also said i don't owe you money and will file a suit against you for  harassment and take you to court. And said a few words myself. I have changed my bank accounts and also was told by police to put a alert on my mail too. If your mail get's send to a another address. Watch the out for the s--t heads.

received the same call from the same number about a loan that never took they said thy need me to fax them my credit card number and my informations

This is another scam call...they sound like they are from the Middle EAst.  I called the Federal Trade Commission and filed a compliant and I placed a trace on the call (when I called them back) with my local police dept. I would advise any one else, receiving these types of calls, to do the same.***DO NOT GIVE OUT ANY OF YOUR PRIVATE INFORMATION** They were trying to collect on some loan that wasn't even mine. I have sinced closed the checking account they mentioned and switched to a different bank. I also provided my new bank with a warning of these calls.  Additionly, I called all 3 major credit bureaus and requested an alert on my credit report.  Oh, and they used threats and foul language when I called them out on what they were doing.  I continued to be nice, which they didn't like so they hung up on me. Just please be very guarded about confirming your info to anyone!

I also received a call from this number. I was left a long message on my cell informing me that I needed to return the call "the second I get this message." I couldn't make much else out, due to the noise and the heavy accent. I called the number and a female answered and I asked for the name of the business and she replied "This isn't a business it's a law firm." Her accent was very heavy also, and she transferred me to her "supervisor" who had to scream at me because there was so much noise in the background, and I had to keep yelling into the phone "What?" He said his name was Peter Smith (yeah right...) At any rate, he told me that the police were going to show up at my house and my job tomorrow to take me to the court house. He wouldn't tell me who this was on behalf of. I immediately called the payday loan assistance company that is assisting me with some payday loans, and he assured me that no one was coming for me, and that it would cost them a lot more than the $200 I owe them to come for me, and that a judge would laugh them out of court. He also told me to get a fax and a phone no. from them, the name of their "law firm" and what account they represent. He said that basically, it was a scare tactic to get me to pay them, and because I didn't bite, he hung up on me. A real professional wouldn't hang up on you, and they would also provide you with any and all information they had.  All I know is that the call came from Aptos, CA, but that's all I've been able to find out so far. I'll let you know from jail tomorrow...

Got a call on my phone asking for my husband.  Said they were with the Cyber Crime unit and that they had a report against him.  When he took the call the strong middle eastern accented woman told him that she could not hear him.  It sounded like she was in a really busy call center.  So he said since he can hear me he hung up.  Again they called and I hung up on the lady and then she called back and told do not hang up on me.  I asked if she was a detective she said yeah, I asked for badge number then she told me that this call was for my husband she would not give out info.  Well I live in a community property state so this also regards me and she was calling my phone.  I hung up again and then a male called back.  When they call I get unavailable on my screen, but I asked for the number and this is the number she gave me.  This is a total scam and do not give out any information.

Now 831-607-4533 isn't a working number. Constant busy signal and I have tried to call them back all hours of the day and night.  I did contact a lawyer regarding the calls I received and have been instructed to try and get more information from the people making these calls.  Unable to get ahold of them now. If anyone can provide company names, addresses or phone numbers, could you please post details?  Thanks for your help with trying to stop these people.

i am geting the  same call they would not send me any paperwork either

I got a call from this number today on my cell phone and my work phone.  I have been receiving calls for the past couple weeks on my work phone and when I answer there is no one there.  I called it back because the woman with a thick Middle Eastern accent named Amy Gibson made threats about a law suit if I didn't call back and wished me luck with my case.  When I called the number back the first time it just said "law firm" how can I help you.  I hung up.
I called it back and same thing.  I told the man, also Middle Eastern thick accent that I received a threatening call about a law suit and had no information and no identification and they didn't answer with any ID.  He said "I answered Law Firm, didn't you understand that?"  he told me there was a lawsuit against me for a $400 payday loan that they attempted to pull from my account one time and were given an NSF and now with fines I owed over $5000 and there would be two agents coming on monday to take me to court.  He refused to tell me where he was calling from or provide me with proof of this loan.  all he said was he had a recording of me stating that I did fill out an application and that they have been emailing me and I have not responded.
What a crock of stuff!
