Had a similar voicemail left on my machine. Caller stated he had a summons that was going to be sent to my county to appear in court for a fraudulent check given to his client that was written on my ComStar Federal Credit Union account. Really? I have never had an account with that Credit Union and had never heard of it until that phone call. By all means send me the summons, your just wasting your time and money. This is hilarious, I just hope I'm home if they ever call back. I will give that scam artist an ear full.

This person called and left message about check fraud and id number to give to him when I called. I was concerned and check out this number and found information on this number. People should beware of the low life people who prey on innocent victims.

I got the same deal, being accused of check and wire fraud. I havent written a paper check since the 90's.Same name from a number from a small 5500 person town in South Carolina...Cheraw,SC. Same name. I am no fool! Thank gawd for the internet.

Calls everyday finally left a message with a fake name of Jim Fassel from Fairview law firm had a case number for a case here iny county and a name of a person that needs me to testify I looked on our court doc and found no such case! Googled the law firm no such firm googled name no such name google number 843-253-0442 and 888-736-9973 all scams they want you to give them your SSN number try to tell you your writing bad checks and they need a checking account number to make sure it's you I called them this morning with my info that it's a scam and he hung up on me I called back and the number doesn't work I am just letting you guys know don't fall for this we all work hard for our money and to live no sense of giving it away for someone who doesn't want to work and steal if enough of us put our foot down maybe he will stop!! Don't give any info out for anyone keep yourself safe
