It is a collection agency calling for what ever debt you owe to lets say a credit card company.

This is crazy that this number is going around like this all I know is that some type of authority needs to step in and whoever this person is constantly calls my cell phone and soon as I pick up in 4 secs this person hangs up and when I try to call this number.back its a non-working number....and that's scary and crazy and when I look around there's the same nonworking number calling me. So if anyone knows what this number is please inform me!!!! I just want it to STOP!!!!

9 calls today from this number. They hang up as soon as I answer.

I haven't given this number out to anybody but friends and relatives. I actually just got this cell service from AT&T 4 or 5 days ago.

I just called AT&T and they traced the call to Georgia, although when I did a trace online it traced it back to Hilton Head, SC...

Weird, so *I* signed up for internet stuff too...I guess we're seeing a pattern??? Lol, suck. Anyhow, They kept calling me and hanging up throughout the day, and then finally I answered a few minutes ago and it was a sweepstakes that I had been entered into, they were congratulating me. I told him about how that number had been hanging up on me all day, then he said "Let's start over..." and congratulated me *again* and then I said that's ok but before I could finish the call had dropped. I'm getting calls from other numbers too. Damn internet...shoulda known better.

Call several times when I answered  they say stupid things dump jokes and try to scam me.

I have signed up for one thing this last week and that was a bookclub... If this sounds familiar then that is what it is but if not they probably got it off facebook, craigslist or something else.  Also I got an actual voice on a voicemail from it. It was a young male voice and he said "Hi, I'm a exotic dancer and I want KFC and I think you should get it cause I have no money." Then he giggles and the call ends. I think that this might be a organized crime because it sounded like the man may of been on something and probably got on a phone he wasn't supposed to be on.  I know that these days organized crime is mostly done virtually. Ever wonder why you get so many mysterious calls? It isn't individuals calling it a whole group.

Yea I had the same two numbers calling me I blocked both of them but I dont know what tomorrow will bring. Did you get an email for a taco bell survey? Its the only thing that I can remember putting my cell phone number in this weekend.

I purchased an Amtrak ticket online last Friday. Since then I have received about a dozen solicitation calls, some of which have been hang ups. Also my debit card security was breached and I had to order a new card. That will be an inconvenience since I leave for my trip next weekend, and will have to deal with cash, or the hassle of personal checks. To say I am very displeased is an understatement!

Same two numbers and the area code 517 called several times last night. I don't give my number out to anyone but family. Crazy!!

That same thing happens to me with those 2 numbers, they call and hang up right away and I can't call them back...

I have had 2 calls from 843-298-7849 and from 517-677-5166 and they call and hang up.. completely annoying..  I don't have debt, so it can't be from "something I owe".  I try to call back the number and it says it's a non working number..   well how did it call my phone then!

Yeah I've gotten many calls from several different numbers all about debt collection, and I didnt sign up for anything, what the hell?!

What if you don't have any debt to pay, like NONE?

Okay this is going to sound creepy but, I answered it the first time it called me which was about 20 mins ago, and all I could hear is light breathing, like someone was suffocating or something..

I just got the call 5 mins ago aswell..

AND I signed up for something last night over the web...

I signed up for something online this weekend as well.

Its only been a few days but Ive received over half a dozen unknown calls like this already.

I've got 3 missed calls from this number in the past few HOURS!

I signed up for something on the Internet this weekend (Sunday, Oct. 25th) and this is the 2nd new # calling me since (4th unknown call total) and it is only Tuesday!  Shouldn't have given out my #.  Guess I will just deal with it til they stop calling.
