This caller has been dialing my cellphone for days i finally got irritated enough to call back....took 17 mins to answer but operator identified as 1st National Collections. I do not have any known debts with them or who they collect for.

a faxed document is not good enough. you need to send a debt validation letter request. if they refuse or are unable to comply then they violate the FDCPA and can be sued.

Not sure who 843-410-7234. Debt Collector?? only be careful. Ask them to fax you the contract or items that was purchased. Chances are they don't have that info so it could be a scam on a very old dept and they bought a list which means you don't owe them anything. The old dept was written off a long time ago.

I called back this number and the guy told me he was from collections for a credit card.
