Got the same call about fraud claim from IRS threatening same actions from a Melvin. Definitely a scam. Shows on caller ID as unavailable 1.

I received the same call.  If I do not have my husband call Daniel White 844-241-1465 within 5-10 minutes, an IRS tax fraud case will proceed against my (or maybe both our) name(s).  All kinds of scenarios (hard to understand because of the Asian accent) were put before me by Daniel:  because tax fraud has been committed, 'this should be a criminal case', and it will be in 45 minutes because the IRS (Daniel's company) will send the case on to the Federal Courthouse and I will lose my house and go to jail.  'All kinds of things will happen in your personal life if you don't act immediately'.  I told him I would contact my husband and have him call, just to play it out a little.  He said he would call me back in (the same) 45 minutes if he didn't hear from one of us.

Received a voice message from Melvin threatening legal action for tax evasion and sending out the sheriffs.  First mistake, he said "Internal Revenue Services", not Service.  Second mistake, I am a retired Federal IRS employee and I know that the IRS contacts people ONLY THROUGH THE MAIL.  A real IRS letter will have names and contact phone numbers that are government phone lines.  This 844-241-1465 is NOT a government phone number.  Do not fall for this.

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.

we had calls from 2 numbers.  The first 202-751-2543 on Thursday.
Then this one late on Friday.  I did call the real irs early on Friday,
but the second call was late.  Both will be reported thanks to the help
of our local rep, Ms. Parker in the morn.  I guess I cannot figure out

Melvin from the tax mortgage dept.. of the IRS has a legal petition notice for tax evasion that he will take to the federal claim court house and it will be executed by the sheriff county officers, please return his call.

Hi, I also recieved a call from "Melvin" with a canadian accent, leaving this number stating something about resolving an audit issue before he send the issue to the federal court....  Get this Fraud

recieved a voice mail from Melvin stating he was an IRS agent and was needing to talk with me about a legal petition concerning tax fraud. I called the number back and talked with a spanish accent male who said he was an operator for the IRS. Lots of boiler room noise in the background. The operator called me by name and asked if I was calling from my phone number which he read off. He then stated that he had to turn me over to a Deputy Tax Officer. There was a pause and then a man with a spanish accent spoke to me on the phone stating he was a Deputy Tax Officer., He said his name was Mathew Brown. I asked him how he spelled Brown to which he replied, " you don't ask me any questions. I then repeated I wanted to know how he spelled Brown, to which in a loud angry voice he stated," you Mother F****r, don't you call this number again! I once again repeated I just wanted to know the spelling of Brown. He once again called me a Mother F****r and hung up the phone.

I received a threatening phone message from person by name Melvin who stated he represented IRS.  Left a call back # 844 241 1465.  IRS does not call. Scam.

I just got a voice mail stating this is Michael Rogers from the Tax Audit Dept. of IRS Internal Revenue Service the nature of my call is just to inform you that we have issued a lawsuit against you regarding tax fraud against your name so before we go with legal matter and send this case to the court house and before you get arrested kindly call us back on our call back number the number to reach me at is 844-241-1465 I'll repeat 844-241-1465 Thank you and have a good day.
Seriously these people need to get a life. Funny how it was on the news again last night and I get a call today! IRS only send through the mail. I pray people aren't gullible to fall into their trap especially the elderly!

Received a message on my home phone something about a lawsuit filed with IRS. SCAM  ...
OFFICER KENNETH MATHEW'S BADGE # 26205 FROM PHONE 844-241-1465...HOPE THEY CAN TRACK THIS PERSON DOWN AND PUT HIM AWAY!!

Just received a call from "Ryan Black" also.  The call was very threatening.  Said that I should get an attorney right away because I was being audited.  Ridiculous that someone would do this.  Hope this helps someone else.  

Nope. Melvin is a fraud. He's just another scammer trying to use the "IRS Scam". His routine is so well known that the IRS has warnings about it on their website. The IRS does NOT call you unless you have called them first. They use the USPS. If you were wanted for tax evasion or fraud you'd hear about it from a federal agent...in person! And that agent will NOT have called to give you a warning!

Received a call from this name. A man with an Indian accent said he was calling from the IRS. My husband said if the IRS needs to talk to me, have an official agent call because there's no way he was talking to this guy.

A friend of mine had the same experience as above.  I'm pretty sure the IRS doesn't tell you to go F yourself too!  Lol

6/23/14 Have had 2 messages from the same person Melvin to return call immediately! Called back and Daniel White finally answered the phone after a few times. Says same thing about back taxes owed to IRS and we have one hour to take care of it or its going to be reported and a lien put against the house. Definitely a scam!!

Same nonsense from Melvin.  Going to forward documents to the court, etc, etc.  He babbled for the full 30 seconds my machine allows before being cut off at the knees mid sentance....

Received similar call from Ryan Black who claimed Melvin was his supervisor.
Plan to report incident to the Lake County States Attorney's office.

Had a voice mail from an individual calling himself Melvin. He stated he was "employed with the IRS." Melvin went on to say that I needed to urgently speak with him or else he would be obligated to forward official complaints to the court and county police concerning charges of IRS fraud against me. Be aware, as stated above, the IRS contacts through mail.

Also, just received a scam call from this phone number.  Very threatening; mention of police, arrest, fraud, etc...  Melvin Baggic (or whatever your name was), may you rot for trying to scam people!!   The IRS doesn't call people, they send mail!!

Received a message on my dad's home phone something about a lawsuit filed with IRS.  Called the number and there was no voice mail nor did anyone answer.  Searched to number to see if valid and nothing showing up.  Seems like some type of scam.  Anyone have this happen?
