Find a place to rant!  I suggest Gotarant.com.  You can go there and talk about all the crap you want.  You can post as Kevin or Mary or any other shill you claim to be.

So you were serves while delivering the daily newspaper? So how fast did you pedal your bike to get away from them before you realized this imaginary debt was real?

Dufus! Now, did you learn to blame the victim instead of blaming predatory debt collection tactics in a special school? Is that part of the script you use personally or did the dirtball next to you type it in for you?

This isn't a discussion as to whether or not we should "Pay our bills'---

This is about consumers' rights when it comes to the collection of debts.

Thanks for playing.

How about a name and address as shown on your "papers".   This K & J Associates seems like a non-existent company.
Did K and J Associates "rubbercate" your driver's license?

Who are the principals of this group?   How about some names?

You're just another denizen of the kitchen-table debt scammer underground.  Working out of someone's house.  Upstate New York possibly?

Mary, welcome to 800notes.  This is a forum for unknown phone calls, not a soap box for political pontification nor some type of self-help group where you can make a confession about your personal problems.  Additionally, I have no clue why you posted this remark in this thread since no one involved in this discussion even indicated they had a bill or took out a loan

Here is free advice from my local police.

Call your local police, ask if process servers (or others in your area) have to be Law Enforcement Officers. If so, if for the rare instance a fake server comes over (it has happened), please call the police and keep any papers given to you.

If it is a real officer of the law, they will never mind you calling backup for them.

If it is someone impersonating an officer- your local police will thank you for helping catch someone impersonating them.

Otherwise, 99.99% no one will ever show up.

Really?  How about some names and addresses which were on the "paperwork," assuming you got any.  Did they "rubbercate" you driver's license?

This K and J sure seems like a scam operation to me.

"paperwork sent to you district" --typical phrase, while vague and basically meaningless, is set up to sound threatening.  Nonsense. Total scam.

A few folks have skipped out on bills at a friend's apartment building. As the mail is delivered to the building I can tell you one thing - If you owe money, & don't pay it- You got mail. LOTS of mail, & I mean LOTS of mail. The people who now live in these apartments toss it on the ledge for the mailman to pick up & return to sender. I jot down the address' & look them up. Guess what? They are real brick & mortar business'. This is what makes the story by the shill's so transparent. You WILL by contacted by the company you owe money to. Then you'll be contacted by their first-line collection service. Then you'll be contacted by collection agency #1 (in the food chain line). Any time you read on 800 notes the "I forgot about this loan", it's total BS. You'll get mail to remind you - you'll get calls to remind you.

I DID ALSO GET A CALL FROM THAT NUMBER AND I THOUGHT THE SAME THING THAT IT WAS A SCAM . WELL ABOUT A MONTH AFTER THE PHONE CALL I DID GET PAPERWORK DELIVERED TO MY JOB!! IT WAS A PAYDAY LOAN A DID A FEW YEARS BACK THAT I NEVER PAID BACK IT WAS FOR $350.00. WHEN I WENT TO COURT BECAUSE OF ALL THE INTEREST I AM NOW PAYING BACK ALMOST $1,000.00!! SO JUST TO LET EVERYONE KNOW THESE COMPANIES ARE NOT SCAMS AND THEY DO OWN YOUR PAPERWORK.

Hilarious .... I guess Marble Mouth was trying to read "revocate" off her script, which is a rather outdated synonym of "revoke". The longer the words, the scarier the threat, must be the formula. Debt collectors have no police powers and can't take away a Hoyle playing card, never mind a license.

Never let bullies on the phone confuse extortion with debt collection. Honest debt collectors do not typically send their claims straight to a judge, and they don't take your ransom money to broker quick deals with so-called "process servers". There are no secretive "arbitrators", "investigators", "mediators", or "prelitigation specialists", only sweaty criminals with a script full of bullying remarks. Lawful debt collection is a process, not an ambush, and you are due a chance at each stage to raise a dispute. The agents' horrid threats are empty and their conduct is illegal. Do not reward lawbreakers with your money. Challenge them always, sue them if you can.

Got the same message from Pat Ryan.  Have been getting messages from "Meghan" with same call back number 844-255-0704 for the last several weeks.  She claims there are two investigations going on and that they can be settled or otherwise will be sent to the county.  She is also going to "rubbercate" a valid driver's license (whatever that word means).  Guess "Meghan" decided to send in the big gun, Pat.  Ha ha  I get tons of these scam phone calls all the time.  Tired of it, but no one will do anything about it, because they simply change their names (if they bother to give one at all) and change phone numbers and go at it again.  Besides if there was any legitimacy to these so-called investigations, you would not be hearing about it through vague unidentifiable phone messages.  Just another way to prey on some unsuspecting person to try to obtain money from them.  Don't fall for any type of SCAM.

Got a call from this number. Someone by the name of Pat Ryan left a message and specified company K & J associates but did not state anything further. Message said he had my name and social security number at their desk and failure to contact them would result in my paperwork being sent back to my district. WEIRD!!!!! Never once addressed who they were calling by name. Given that I have nothing outstanding, I'd say this is definitely one of those SCAM companies. BEWARE!!!!
