omg! they don't stop! God forbid I restart my phone & forget to turn on the block-it! SCAM SCAM SCAM!!! They just KEEP calling! Have filed many complaints but I have no idea if they actually do anything about this. ID says "800 Service" & call is from 844-840-2137  They have many different numbers. Please NEVER give ANY information! Even if they say they have to verify who you are to remove you from the call list (many companies try to claim this). They are phishing for any info they can get on you & your loved ones. Do yourself a favor and get a blocking app or service! My phone company provides one for a dollar a month. I'm broke, but this is money well spent. (When I remember to activate it!) ;)

Received a call regarding a urinary sling surgery.  Wanted me to talk to their lawyer to receive some type of compensation.  All calls came from 1-844-840-2137 #, even lawyer.  Dialect seemed to be from India.  Difficult to understand. What do you do?

A man with an Est India accent called and asked for a specific member of the household. Wanted to know if that person had a major surgery which they claimed the household member could get compensated for. I told them nothing and asked them to not call again.
........Possibly gathering info to sell us a supplemental healthcare insurance plan ........or possibly a poll gathering data for an attorney to do a class action lawsuit.

I Got the same phone today.. and told me if i just had Surgery. I told the Indian guy. I will report him to the police.

Got a call from this number, that he is calling because the county medical department has asked them to do. For some kind of surgery I have recently had. This is probably 6-8 call I am getting with this type of surgery question, but they all come from different phone numbers. I told him that this was a HIPPA violation to call anyone unknown & ask them personal health questions, and that if they don't stop, I will call the police. I have never even been in a doctor's office. But I keep thinking that maybe someone else used my insurance to file a claim. Where else would they get my information and specifically ask for me?  Very strange

I received a call claiming he had info I took a drug during pregnancy. This is so far from the truth.  He claims he got the info from a medical group. My youngest child is 32 years old. By the way he called at 7:15am! Weird when someone knows your name and claims to have info about your medical history!

Love it.  I got the same call.  First they were calling about bladder surgery with a mesh implant...nope, never had that surgery.  Then, they asked hip replacement?  Nope, next.  Heart valve replacement?  Nope, next...and so on.  Finally I just hung up.  But, I think next time I'll have a little fun with them, as you did.  Might as well make the best of these calls that can't be controlled by any agency in our country.  :)

Just received a call at 12:00pm PST today, answered and then they hung up, nothing was said or heard from their side.  I hear sporting event canned air horns into the phone work well for these fleas once you're talking to them.  Just a thought

I received a call from this number. He had a British accent. [Indian]  He asked for Lily. (my mother whose has been dead for 7 years) if she recently had  hip surgery.  I couldn't comprehend  him.  I asked if he was calling from New Delhi or India. Told him to improve his American English if he want engage in Fraud in this country. He hung up

I never answer calls from numbers I do not recognize, including this one. Anyone legit will leave a message. Thanks to all the helpful posts here, it is now blocked.

Us too, in fact I have received calls about my recent hip replacement -have not had one-, my bladder sling surgery, -nope haven't had that either-, and the Windows may be infected. I usually hang-up but today I engaged Marsh and tried to get a bit more information. Was passed to the supervisor,Tom Williams, who told me that I am listed in the County Medical Register, I asked which County and he said the State of Washington.Clearly did not get the jurisdictional difference between a County and State. Really, I said because that may be a privacy violation at which point he stated that the call was being recorded to protect my privacy! My response was no, you are required to tell me up front that the call was being recorded and recording a call  without notifying the person on the other end was the exact opposite of privacy. I mentioned that I would call our State Insurance Commissioner which I did and was referred to the A. G. who I contacted.

A lot of these callers are in foreign country's.. What do you think they can do? The foreign country has to co-operate to bust the scammers. Its called red tape.  And yes they do enforce it. Its not easy tracking the criminals down with the  thousands of spoofed numbers that they get thousands of complaints on daily.

This poster is running their own scam. Anything that comes from this number is a SCAM from India. DO NOT give them any information unless you want a world of trouble.

I received two calls from these clowns, and then I blocked their number. I've found the only way to get any relief is to buy a phone that allows you to block a large amount of numbers (mine allows 300). Once blocked, they cannot get to you anymore. Being on the DO NOT CALL list is like being on a DO NOT BURGLARIZE list. Do you really think burglars would consult the list and only rob those who weren't on it? The powers that be do nothing whatsoever about these calls - they could not care less.

continued harassment calls from 844-840-2137.  continued complaints filed on the FTC complaint website.  recommend all victims likewise report these CRIMINALS for prosecution, perhaps if enough victims complain, the FTC might grow a set and do something about these lowlife.

Recieved this call i had a bladder sling surgery so told them and they took all the information from me and said they will transfer this call to there attorney department  . I just hung up and they called me again and told me "you won't have to pay a single penny to us " so i just went through with the flow and at last. Recieved the compensation "NOT

I got the same call. The caller id registered unknown.   They asked for my wife, who was not home. Since I had a little time on my hands I decided to lead them on. I gave them the feeble old man voice (hard at hearing with a touch of confusion) to lure them in.  As he ran through his script I would attempt to frustrate him by asking him to repeat himself. It seemed to work. He attempted to end the call, but I was able to keep him engaged by.promising to give his number to my wife.  I asked him to spell his name, which he predictably misspelled. In a heavy foreign accent he said: 'M-I-C-K  S-T-U-A-R-T-A-T." Changing the tenor and tone of my voice I went all federal prosecutor on him.and warned him not to call this number again or there would be consequences.

Call asking for my mother's heath information. Told them to call back and will not answer again.

I just received a call from this number and they used my doctors name and the accent was the same.  When I questioned them directly about who they were they hung up.  They wanted information on bladder sling and hip replacement.

Caller said he was from Health Care Management serivce.  Had to ask several times.Don't know how they can get any information as the man accent was so thick I could not understand the questions ...something about me having, I think, laser surgery a while back, which I did not.  

report these blatant CRIMINALS to the FTC for prosecution.  perhaps if enough victims complain, something might be done.

Person with foreign accent asked for my mother by name.  I said I wished they could--she's been dead since 1998.  Then I asked who is calling, from what outfit.  They hung up.  

It is upsetting enough to keep getting junk mail for a deceased loved one, but telemarketers after 15 years?  I am still shaking.  

Complained to the Do Not Call website, for whatever good that will do.  

They just called us.  "Name Not Found," Caller ID says.  I'm bored, so I picked up the phone and hit the mute button.  Nothing like dead silence to freak out a caller.  They never said a word.  I went about making lunch, and when it was ready, I just hung up on them.  How weird is that?

We?ve been receiving these ?hip replacement ? compensation for surgeries? and the ?windows ? your computer is infected? calls off and on for the past year or so.   These scammers use multiple phone numbers but will not stop calling.   NOW when they call and if we have the time ? we just play along with them ? ?WOW you?re going to give us free medical???   Send it on over ? you?re with the government so you have our info? ? I had one guy going in circles for about 5 minutes (I?m retired ? and had a few free minutes).   He finally said he was going to transfer me to his supervisor ? I said ?great ? I?ll be happy to chat with him for a while too? ? the guy hung up on me!   When the ?I am from Windows and your computer is infected? call came in the other day ? my response was ?yes we have windows, just got them installed and love the double panes!!  When I was told it was my computer that was infected ? I told them we just had the house sprayed for bugs and viruses.  Poor guy got confused ? I repeated it a couple more times and he hung up on me!   It?s fun running these guys around in circles.

This phone number calls me frequently it is a nuisance call as I answer the phone it hangs up.
