Call blocker is your best bet.  This is a typical scam of kitchen-table debt scammers.   They will often threaten you with criminal prosecution and throw around words like "jail" or "arrest" or "warrant" and all that nonsense.  First off, debt is a civil matter in most cases.  You cannot be arrested for ordinary civil debt.  We do not have debtors prisons in the US and haven't had them since the Civil War.  They are just trying to scare you into paying them something, anything.  Don't fall for it.  Don't communicate with these people and don't give them any information if you do.  

You are not in any trouble at all.   If there is a legitimate debt they they are supposed to send you a written statement of the debt by US mail.  e-mail no good.  

NOBODY IS ARRESTING ANYBODY FOR CIVIL DEBT IN THE US!   POLICE DON'T TAKE ORDERS FROM DEBT COLLECTORS IN ANY CASE!

Report them to local police and local attorney general.    You are a potential victim of an attempted extortion.

.?Stop speaking with the caller. If you have the caller's address, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.

?Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know whom you're dealing with. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft ? charging your existing credit cards, opening new credit card, checking, or savings accounts, writing fraudulent checks, or taking out loans in your name.

?Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate ? but you think the collector may not be ? contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.

?Report the call. Contact the FTC and your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers. Many states have their own debt collection laws in addition to the federal FDCPA. Your Attorney General's office can help you determine your rights under your state's law.

Hey officers of Florida. I'm Hayley and I'm undergoing the threats and harrassment by a bi*** who didn't give me her name just kept harassing me by calling almost every morning Mon thru Fri. I don't have a cm set up. I don't know how to block them. They harassed my realatives and I'm trying to figure out how the f*** did they get all our phone numbers. When they call it shows up as unknown caller. All I know is I'm big trouble for I don't know what but they expect 9,000 dollars from me or the police will be at my door in the morning taking me to jail. I'm married with 3 little girls and a nurse here in TN. I believe. They dumpster dived for my bank statements. I shredded them before I threw them away. I don't like that they dumpster dived for my personal info nor do I live at the address. What am I to do. I wont give em my money becuz I know its a scam but I need them to stop calling and harrrassing me and my family thank u.

This is a warning to all who is being harassed. I strongly urge u to not answer these calls nor give any info. We got complaints here in florida about this number along with others. First don't answer an unknown caller second if they leave any kind of harassing voicemails please save and report to ur nearest police station third block the number or numbers. Last if u don't block em and want them to call u can make a case against them by saving ur voicemails. Record them if u do answer with another phone that also helps ur case. First the caller calls unknown because they don't want to be traced. Second the number and whatever claim number is to identify whose calling back. One more thing keep any important papers in a safe if u throw any important papers away our advice is burn them. For these cons are dumpster diving for ur info. They sound young on phone they r trying to get my grandsons info. Bank accounts receipts etc must be locked. Unwanted old papers with names addresses. Etc must be burned not ripped. And not thrown away. Cons do dumpster dive for ur info to be u and or to take money from. Same goes for strange emails and craigslist. They have a lot of cons on their site we caught one undercover Jason was scammed for a blue mustang that price was too good to be true after he put a down payment the b*****d took off and he was on duty seeing the same scumbag taking money for the mustang from a young couple. They got their money back and he is now behind bars. So I urge everyone to please be extremely careful. Thank u

Hey this is Stacy me and my cousins wife are dealing with the crimals. We and the other officers are having a blast talking about these con artists. Anyways my girl and I listened to the idivial falsfully named Jared. He ask my girl her SSN throughout the call. He mentioned a bank suntrust and a advanced payday loan company do to the fact she never been in these places. Funny how the Guy said over and over again can't disclose information.  My girl is 27 years old born in October. He had her birthday wrong.  We made things worse for him. Anyways he kept on asking to confirm a bank and that loan and SSN. We still wouldn't give him what he wants. He did sound quite convincing but it was fake info. LOL anyways under law we don't ask for info like that. Companies close around 7 at the latest here in Texas. Anyways calling before 9 am and after 7 by a fake company is a big red flag. Don't fall for the nice Guy nor the games they play for your info. Also u never give ur SSN over the phone no matter what. Its no ones business. Its what keeps all ur info safe. We warn all those who fell victim to call 911 if u believe u have been scammed. If not block their numbers and warn realatives employers. Etc about the scam. Hey again got more info detective Stacy and I made a phone call and a young man voice possiblely in his late 20s named Jared. Suppposily his name anyways. Detective Stacy and I gave false info to keep him in the phone. It tracks back to a computer and I also want to point out we heard scareface on the background. We heard al pacinos voice and I walked away laughing my a** off. Anyways u can hear them typing when u give em false info. Also the dude was nice and had a lot of false info on me we just made it worse on him. My husband is on duty. Stacy and I were f****ng around with these idiots. Funny they called back 3 hours later asking for some girl. I never give my info nor my real name over the phone. Anyways u hear typing Al Pacino and a young man. When they called back 3 hours ago same voice but the name is now Andrew. We had a lot of complaints at the station about this number harassing residents. Stacy and I believe nor stands for bit ches out residents. We came up with that here in the station. Anyways we r still on the case by the way when they called me it was unknown number.  Like I said we still on the case. We will get em. They prey on ppl they believe has good credit bank accounts and no police records. So they can make money of u. They r trying not to be traced that is their game thanks and when we catch em we will put em on TV so everyone who has dealt with s*** see em going to jail LOL hope this ease everybodies minds.

Hey its me again. I have some info on the number. The criminals who own this number has it set up on there phone so basically speaking its two individuals who supposily own a business BOR. they made it on their phone. Also these criminals don't use their real names nor give a name. In my case they didn't but when my husband called the bi*** said Amanda. Anyways these criminals have been jailed for such an act and may be out of prison. We r looking for individuals who were in prison for this act. I believe these criminals have been caught once and is at it again. So far we r awaiting info from the office. Also my problem didn't start til 2 weeks ago from Tuesday. They were looking under my divorced name 3 years ago before I remarried December of last year. So understand. We r on the suspects case and will not let them hurt others again. Its a personal cell phone business these crimals r using. Don't give into their stupidity. Just ignore them and block their number.

I received an unknown call and the caller asked if I knew John. I said I that I know a couple John's. He told me that I needed to contact him that there was a serious allegation against him. He said that I needed to give John the number 844.841.4028 and the claim number.  the caller wouldn't identify himself or his company.

Called my mom yesterday and called again today and left a vm on my moms phone saying I've been officially notified. Didnt know a family members vim is officially notifing ME. Haven't gotten anything in the mail. Total scumbags. Seen all the complaints and harrassment they do to people. I wish they would get caught.

Continuously receive calls from several 210 numbers and "Unknown" numbers and a number that shows up as 000 on the caller ID.  They are persistent and call back to back multiple times.  Sometimes they leave a message. Said they were a "locator" and had papers to serve me and wanted to verify my address and work place.  Finally after about 6 back to back calls I answered it.  The guy said his name was Frank and he was a locator for BOR company and had important papers to serve and needed to verify some information.  I asked him what BOR was or what it stands for and what all this was about.  He got very rude and would not answer my questions just said I was going to be in trouble.  I said in trouble for what.  But he said he could not disclose that information.  He said "you mean to tell me that you don't know what this is about, I know you were expecting this call and expecting to be served with papers!?"  I said I have no idea what you are referring to and I need information about this BOR company and whatever you are talking about.  He gave me this number 8448414028 to call and a case number.  I tried to call and the first time they answered and I was put on hold...then they hung up before saying anything.  So I tried their back to back call tactics and called them again and again about 4 times.  Each time it went straight to the message.  This is so totally a scam and so very annoying.  I am looking forward to their next call so I can tell them about all the information I found on BOR on the ripoffreport.com website as well as other sites....and to tell them to kiss my ***.

Got a call from Unavailable at 630am on Mon, 4-28-14, from Alice Black, personal locator, looking for a friend of mine.  She gave me her name and a claim # to refer to.  Said it was a law firm in Florida looking for her and wanted me to pass on info.  She had no clue about time difference as I am in Calif.  Has anyone called this 844 #?  

I got a call from this number with a case number demanding that I call to be served at my job and home. What is this?

When I call the number it says thank you for calling p.o r or b.o.r.  its hard to hear.  Both times they called my work the number came up as annoymus.  The first time my coworker asked if the lady wanted to leave her name and number, the lady replied "no". When I got the call today.  She saI'd her name was becca she left a case number and said there were aligations against me and left the 844 number for me to call back
