Me as well...I've got better things to with my time than waste it on these nothing calls!!!

Same sh$t. They call, no answer, then hang up. Can't imagine why they bother, if the only information they can get is your phone number...which they just called. Obviously, do NOT provide any information.

They call often and they never answer when I pick up.

Optimum Voice reports the call origination as Vietnam

Have receive many in the last two weeks, from many different numbers.  Not answering any.  Won't take that chance.  Also received robo calls from someone to lower your electric bills, but aleast they have someone talking.  These other calls are different not taking any chances.

2 to 3 calls a day and they hang up

I , also have been receiving calls from this number, a couple times a day, for a week or so, looked the number up couldn't find a name, I have also been receiving  calls for months now from a automatic call asking me if I want to lower my electric bill , so tired of these calls!!

8450289984 If this is from some electric co. I will never leave central hudson. They call us & talk on both our phone lines.  Now it's the silent treatment then hang up on both lines. We are on a no call list which means nothing to junk calls.

Received 2 calls from (845) 028-9984 on September 27, 2012 -- @ 5:01 pm and @ 7:30 pm.  Caller ID read "Name Unavailabl".  No message was left on our answering machine.

These morons keep calling and hanging up when we answer. I would love to have thier address!

Received a call from 845-028-9984 on 9/27/2012 at 5:14pm EDT. Caller ID displayed "NEW YORK CALL". Did not answer and no message was left.

Received a similar call from 845-023-3923 on 9/26/2012 at 9:00pm EDT and 845-175-9565 on 9/20/2012 at 6:38pm EDT. Caller ID displayed "NEW YORK CALL" each time. Did not answer those calls either and no message was left.

Based on the feedback I've found on this site I think all of these calls are from the same fraudulent outfit trying to obtain personal information under the pretense of offering lower electric rates. The latest gimick appears to display a caller ID number that is from your local area code in the hope of enticing you to answer.

I have added all of these numbers to my GoogleVoice block list.

Same here....two in an hour, no message and no response when I answer,,,,if this jack*** is reading this I hope he knows he is now wasting his or her time !

Been getting called 2-3 times a day for the last 3 days.  The caller hangs up. If I don't say hello they stay on longer and then hang up. If I say hello they hang up quickly .

just got call from 845-028-9984...didn't answer. they left no msg...anyone else?
