I got one too today! It sounds like phishing.  If you respond to them, then they know you have a live number and will keep sending you texts messages. Mine said "Heyy :D"

Got a text from this number at 12:52pm (didn't see it until 7:45pm). Text says "Hi :P"....I asked "Who is this?" No reply so far....I don't know anyone with a New York number....neither does my boyfriend.

Their battery must be working now, I just got a text from that number.

this # contacted my daughter, called her by name, when my daughter respond, "who is this?" the person responded, "sorry I have no battery life;( Daughter, "who are you?" no response, my daughter then called the number at least 7 times, no answer, she then sent one more text, "clearly, you have battery. so tell me who you are" no response.

I received a text message from this number, who knew my name & asked me to add them on y!msngr and their lillianflirty36. when I asked who this was, they replied with "sry I have no battery life ):" I added them on y!msngr & the picture that is associated with the ID is a very scandalist picture! I've asked them not to contact me & to never contact me again. They haven't responded to any of my questions.

Prolly a scam.

weird text msgs... told me to add gabriellagirly36 to my IM... i dont even IM

Texted me and I do not know anyone in New york, they asked me to add them to Yahoo IM.

I got a text from this number saying "heyyy"

I got a text on Friday that said   heyyy Laurel

I got a text from them also. Said "Heyaaa Joe"

This number SMS'd me "heyyyy Laren" ... Laren is not my real name. It's my online name.  No one who has my phone number would call me by my online name.
