Is this the same outfit as First Step Equity?

I know of a similar scam outfit, American Standards Online (formerly Anchor House Financial), run by Mike Davenport and Susan Quinn out of the Santa Barbara area.  They used to be in cahoots with an Indian named Gopi.  Their MO is to spam craigslists nationwide with fake rental ads, and charge $199 for a list of "pre-foreclosed" properties (info that can be obtained elsewhere for free).

This is how they work. They claim you can get into a house, either for rent or rent to own without a background check. They, however, will either post an ad for an address that is not listed with them or claim that they can not release any information (address, status of the house, ect) until you submit an application which will cost you. They provide you absolutely no paperwork or any kind of verification that you filled out an application and then ask you to sign up with them on their website. To sign up on their site you put in your name, e-mail address, phone number, zip code, billing address, and your credit / check card number with the expiration date and security code.

THey have a listing for Woodland Hills, also way too little amount of money for a great guest house in an affluent area. Listed on Craigslist.

in oakland they just posted a house too, for way too low an amount.  i just called the number and was on hold forever with a message talking about how home ownership is so easy.  super sketchy.

on craigslist they also posted false home rental ad's for homes in Highland CA, priced too low as well. Very fishy number..

They have a listing on house rentals in temecula, ca craigslist. The price is too low for the area imho. This sounds like a complete scam. Not only that the number is from New York, nowhere near california.
